The cabin I was in was quite comfortable. I was surprised how much heat the heater was able to generate. It was cozy inside in the cool evenings. Having multiple restrooms also helped. I also appreciated that the owner picked me up from the yurt village when I mistakenly thought that I was to stay there, instead of at the inn and its outside cabins. I love the morning chats with the other guests over breakfast. There were discussions of activities within Seward and Alaska as well as other hikes in the U.S. Got some good suggestions for the potential next hikes. They also provided a list of paid and unpaid activities. Those were very helpful.

If you don’t have a car, it may be a challenge to get to the town center. It helped a lot that I was able to get the cellphone number of one the taxi drivers in the area. Izzy was the best!

We stayed at the Inn closer to town one night in the humpback shack as it was the only place available and it was so much fun and so unique that we decided to book a couple days to stay in the yurts and check that out as well. The location was quiet in the Yurt villages and the staff was very friendly and answered any questions. There were lots of things to do and it was very relaxing. Anyone can stay in a hotel, but the yurt experience was much more fun. It still had amenities such as bathhroms and running water. Definitely worth the stay and much more fun than a motel or hotel. We live in Alaska and typically take out camper to Seward, but this was worth the experience.

LOVED IT !!! So unique.the trees smelt so good.the commons area with the kitchen and everything you'd need.just like a continental breakfast at a hotel but better cuz its outdoors.the bluejay taking peanuts from jane.the bond that the yurters n staff developed in such a short time.loved it.keep up the great work

The mattress was too soft for a fat old guy and an old lady with a bad back.we shared the middle well.we did not see any pictures on the bookings

Adriana runs a tight ship, which makes for a very organized and welcoming hostel. When you get to know her a little, she has a heart of gold and loves to help people. She had some of the highest cleaning standards I have seen in a hostel, so that even comforters get washed with every third visitor. Sheets and everything else are spotless and she trains all her volunteers very well for taking care of the place. The common room is welcoming and very comfortable. I would definitely return and stay again.

The hostel is several miles outside of the town, and there's no bus, so you have to either call for a ride which is not cheap, get a ride sometimes with someone staying in the cabins that has a car, or hitchhike, which I did several times. If it's raining, waiting for a ride can be uncomfortable.

So, we actually cancelled our reservation because it was not what we expected or what we were looking for. That being said, I am so happy to confirm that the host was very nice and very thoughtful. She showed us around and when we figured out that this would not work for our needs, she was not angry with us for wanting to cancel. We had to cancel through Booking.com, but the property owner was very generous and understanding and gave us a full refund even though there was supposed to be a charge. We are very grateful.

The cabin was adorable! Nestled in pine trees with a cute fire pit all its own, or the community one is right there too! We didn’t plan to do much in Seward when we planned our itinerary so we were only there for one night. We all wish we would have stayed there longer and explored more of the surrounding area! Definitely would go back there again. We loved it!! The staff were amazing, the location perfectly placed and adorable. The breakfast yummy! I would book this unique property quickly if you’re thinking about it…. You will be sooooooo happy you did!!!

NOTHING….. it was perfect!!!

We had initially erroneously had a room in the hostel, but the shared bathroom is more than just a Jack and Jill suite, beware. We had decided to cancel the room and were offered one in the village and it was darling. It was so quiet that we slept all night with no interruption. The owner is a doll.

It is 4.8 miles from downtown Seward, which is nothing for us, but if you are wanting the harbor, this is not it.

This is a dream location. In the forest but not too far from stores, restaurants and activities. If you want the glamping experience this is a great one. There are shared facilities but everything is easy and fun. The manager is attentive and helpful and very nice. The yurts are equipped with all the necessities and the cute decor makes this a fantastic stay. My wife and I love it here and want to come back soon.

This is an exceptionally run property. We were greeted when we arrived and shown around since there are shared bathrooms and kitchen. Staff were friendly and helpful. The cabin we stayed in (wolf’s den) was perfect for us and this property is close to Seward where a few of our activities took place. To top it off, there were singing hermit thrushes in the woods.

Boy did we love this place! We added a night in Seward and we’re able to book the sourdough lodge here. Great communication ahead of time and discount codes for the Kenai fjords tours. But the place was awesome. A collection of quaint cottages for privacy w shared bathrooms - flush plumbing etc and plenty of them and wonderful shared kitchen facilities (2 indoor and 1 outdoor), a fire pit, an outdoor shower that is a legit normal shower as well as an indoor one. Make fresh waffles and pancakes for breakfast. Fresh coffee provided. Super staff. I mean super! Such a funky fun place. Want to come back just to stay here longer with Adrienne, Nu, and the crew. Thank you!
