Seward doesn't have a lot of lodging options. We were only staying for one night, so our main requirement was a room with two beds. Trailhead Lodging is a small one-floor structure with just a half-dozen rooms. The building also houses a laundromat, but we never heard any noise from there. The room was large, nicely furnished with a lot of homey touches. The room had a queen bed and a sofa bed. Bathroom was very clean and everything was in good condition. All the information is provided by email in advance of the stay, and you use a code to enter both the main door and your room. This was great because we ended up getting to the room much later than we expected. On-site parking is offered. The lodge is one block off of the main street, so traffic noise was not an issue yet it was very close to the main restaurant and shopping area. I would have enjoyed staying there additional nights if our travel schedule had permitted it.

The room was as described and more comfortable than I expected. It was warm in the room and we did have to use the large box fan (provided) to circulate air to cool us down to sleep.

The location is great-very central to walking around town. The beds were comfortable & the room was clean. A fan, radiator and hair dryer were all available as well as shower gel, shampoo & conditioner.

The bathroom door does not stay closed, even if locked. Also the front door was very hard to close-had to slam it shut. The room needs a larger garbage can and the room was not cleaned only one of the two days we stayed. It was also very cold as the heat was not turned on. A radiator was provided but it took a long time to come to a comfortable temperature.

The location was excellent, across the street from the coffee house where we wanted to see an art exhibit, and a short walk to the Sea Life Center and restaurants and shops. It's a great value.

The only thing that could be improved is a bit of WD40 on the door hinge. It squeaked a bit. Everything in the room was welcoming, tidy, and stylish. I am sure the squeak will be taken care of as soon as they read this.

I really enjoyed the "little touches" like glass glasses, regular and decaf coffee, the decorations (we really wanted the silver metal deer, would have paid to have it lol). Those things add up to a lot and make it a lot better. The door code being our phone number is excellent.

I honestly can't think of anything. We realy loved it.

Great room, nice sofa bed, nice to have coffee, a heater, mini fridge, hair-dryer, a TV in a well-decorated, comfy room. Area is walkable to everything. Customer-service was amazing!

The main bed was too soft for my husband’s back.

The staff is very accommodating, friendly, and professional. I ask for a cot and was delivered to our room with a smile on her face. The best thing is we were not charged extra for the cot. This extra service was unexpected and very exceptional 👍

Very friendly, personal and comfortable with everything you need. Close to the Marine Wildlife Center, but a bit far away (to far to walk, especially when it is raining) from the cruise terminal and for the starting point of Kenai Fjord Tours. If you have a car, the perfect place to be. :-) I can highly recommend Trailhead Lodging- Seward.

The room was impeccably clean! Many nice small touches to make it extra cozy and cute. The mattresses were firm and comfortable. Never met the hosts but they were available via text message. Check in and check out were easy. Great location right next to Resurrect Art Cafe.

Some problems with the internet. It is also a fairly expensive stay.
