Our superior chalet was spacious and clean. Our chalet had beautiful views of the Drakensburg Mountain Range and valley below. The property is quiet and peaceful. It’s a wonderful break away from the city. The security guards were friendly. The restaurant staff were also very friendly and the food tasted great. I recommend the trout! We were informed via phone call that housekeeping had found items we left behind, luckily weren’t too far out and were able to turn back. Housekeeping had our items in a small plastic bag, with a note containing date, chalet number, number and description of items. I thought that was very honest and kind of them to let us know and have that note in case we couldn’t return to collect the items then.

Our chalet didn’t have great lighting downstairs by the kitchen. We found it could use a bit more lighting. The other light downstairs kept flickering, I don’t know if it needs a bulb change or if it has an electrical issue. The balusters on the balcony were too wide apart, my 19 month old son could fit his little body through them, so we couldn’t comfortably sit out on the balcony. There are very few activities you can do with small children, even the playhouse wasn’t too enjoyable for them, this was quite disappointing, one would expect activities that catered for all ages on a family resort.

The activities were great for the family, it was my husband's birthday and we were staying in the 2 bedroom superior chalet, the staff were extremely accommodating, they did a bday set up dinner for me with a lovely table, they also brought cake with candle played the bday song, was a great time. The food was very good. It was a wonderful stay,.

There should be a first aider , first aid kit should be fully stocked as my son was injured during go-karting and bruised his knee and fingers there was nothing to disinfect the wounds etc. There was no panado, We were far away from home or a doctor , that was a little stressful On the last day of vacation we asked if we could order sides from the restaurant and was told they dont sell them without ordering a full meal, I just felt they could have been a bit more accommodating since we are so far away from home. It was freezing we just wanted some warm sides to go our braai. The main bedroom should have had a shower rather than a bath tub as our family of 4 had to use the one shower that was available.

The staff/shift for the 18th and 20th were friendly and active. However room for improvement like letting guests know how things are the arrangement of self service station during meal time, explaining what offered and what is charged separately. Hospitality workshop training internal I would recommend.

Weather was not great so did not get to do some activities, stayed in room 50 so had to walk around the main building for meals, a short walk but the walkway was dark I would recommend putting the solar mini light around the walkway just to light up the walkways, also put anti slip tape to avoid injuries since wood is slippery when wet.

This resort was absolutely beautiful. As vegans, we were thrilled with the outstanding chef who crafted some of the best and most creative vegan meals we've ever had. We were treated like VIPs, with Robert and Michael ensuring our meals met the highest standards. Thank you for the exceptional dining experience. Overall, Little Switzerland is a beautiful hotel with stunning mountain views and great value for money. There are many activities and things to do. We highly recommend it to everyone. Again, our heartfelt thanks to the team, especially Robert and Michael, for their extra efforts. We are truly grateful and appreciative.

It was cosy and clean. I could walk out my backdoor and go run on the trails in the mountains. The facilities were excellent.

The noisy neighbours that arrived on the Friday. After complaining about the loud music and yelling things seemed to quiet down a little, only to start again an hour later. We had to be up early for Run the Berg but at this point I was too tired to complain again. The next night it seemed like they were just moved a couple of houses down, partying so loud that we could still hear them with everything closed.

The 2 bedroom chalet had modern decor except the bathrooms.The second time staying there.The mountains view from the main bedroom and from the living room is so stunning.The covered patio overlooking the beautiful mountains...its beautiful resort surrounded by nature. Loved walking to the rocky stream...it's natural therapy.

Chalet 106 had a smell due to water leakage causing the laminated floor to absorb the water from underneath causing a bad smell.As you step on the floor you could see the water coming out from the laminated floor next to the sink in the kitchen.We reported the problem ,it was sorted. Why the problem was not noticed and fixed before allocating visitors to the chalet is disturbing because it looked like this problem started days before we arrived.We wish there was a warm pool because for two days it was cold and raining the pool water is cold so my kids did not swim.

The views were amazing, even when the rain set in, it was so peaceful to watch. Breakfasts and dinners were really enjoyable and there was a good selection of food on the buffet to choose from. The rooms were really clean, even though the bathroom could have done with a bit of regrouting on the shower tiles, it was still very clean. The staff were so friendly, and helpful.

on two occasions we ordered wine and when we tried to order a second bottle, we were told it was out of stock, although slightly annoying we were able to choose something else off the extensive wine list.

I liked the scenery. Staff was friendly and kind. Very good activities.

I didn't like the kitchen, stove wasn't working properly, very outdated cabinets, fridge was freezing everything. The main bathroom had a bath tub only, I prefer a shower. The tv troubled alot because of heavy winds. There was no Aircon or heaters in the Standard Chalet. For the price, I expected much better than received. Parking is far from Chalets, diffulty in carrying luggage. I hope that there's improvement in the near future.

Just once in a while you come across a hotel that should be one of the great hotels of the world. Little Switzerland is just that with attentive staff who care deeply about the experience you have. To move into that space would be easy but requires some attention. Slippers and bathrobes in rooms, minibar, driveways and walk ways repaired. Welcome drinks on arrival and an activities specialist on how to visit places in the area.

We loved it all. There is no criticism of the hotel but an opportunity to move it to next level.
