Cecile was connecting with us from the moment our booking was confirmed, till we departed. We felt taken care of. The Aloe cottage and farm are stunning. We went for a 6 km walk, with their little dashound acting as tourguide. This place is a real gem. Just off the highway but nestled in green rolling hills created a quiet tranquil place. The sound of frogs (very rare in the cities), birdlife and animals were just wonderful.

The flies were a bit of a nuisance, but it is a farm, so you have to accept that. We were provided with insect repellent, so thank you.

It is beautiful! If I could personally have decorated it myself there would not have been anything I would have changed. A secret getaway from the city. Although if I was staying longer, possibly a smart tv that we could log ourselves into our netflix and disney ect. As the tv channels are limited. However I think the point is to stay off electronics and escape into the beauty of the land.

Wifi connection and Limited movie channels. Again though the point may very well be to escape all electronics

We are a couple traveling with our dog, and this beautiful stone cottage was perfect for the three of us. We loved the isolation and feeling of being alone in nature. The garden is enclosed to ensure the safety of our dog, and the owner went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable. Full marks. We will definitely be back in winter when we can make use of the beautiful lounge fireplace.

The only fault, which is no fault of the establishment, is inaccurate information on the booking.com site. It states that this chalet comes with an indoor fireplace and hot tub. There is no hot tub in this unit, and there never has been. The owner was most surprised when I asked where it was. This info needs to be amended on booking.com.

Self catering. Lovely location, Nice changes in the kitchen an improvement on the previous visit always nice to be on a working farm and to read and hear about the history and to renew our relationship with Cecille. and to see the farm animals and meet "SAM" THE TAME SHEEP.

Ducks were a bit noisy during the night, but it was mid- winter and we were not troubled by them previously .

Had a wonderful, restful 3 night stay at Wyford farm in their Poplar Chalet. A lovely rustic cottage where we had our own privacy and it was lovely. Perfect place to go if you just want to chill with your loved ones. Plenty of wood can be bought for your braai or indoor log fire. Our host Cecile was such a nice lady and very accommodating. We bought some homemade chilli sauce and curried beans. Both were very good. We really enjoyed our stay.

Location is very good. Host is very friendly and helpful.

There was nothing serious to complain about - a lovely stay overall. Just a note that the oil was unfortunately not included in the breakfast basket as advertised, and having the resident dogs jump in our car as we arrived was not really ideal.

Absolutely loved the accommodation, we didn't have a lot of time there as we were just passing through and got there late at night and left early in the morning but everyone was very accommodating and I will definitely go back to explore a bit more.

It is stunning. A gem in the middle of nowhere. A farm rich in history and beauty.

I loved everything. The decor. The bedding. The details. It was so nice and peaceful. Would love to stay longer. Would be amazing if it had its own private pool. Then we may just never leave!

We stayed at Jacaranda cottage which was cozy and beautifully done. It had everything that we needed included a wonderful little fireplace. The property is directly off the highway but a few km inland so makes for a quiet but convenient stopover.

The bed was a double bed which is a bit tight for two.

It is a very special place that we'll definitely visit again. The accommodation was comfortable and well equipped. It's a beautiful working farm and we especially enjoyed the horse ride and exploring the farm on foot.

The outside braai area is lovely, but with the flat roof over it, we got completely smoked out. We however understand the necessity of having a covered area for a braai
