Beautiful, peaceful setting alongside the dam. We especially enjoyed the hikes - amazing views including some wildlife. Good activities included in the chalet card. Chalet was neat, clean and modern and had the amenities we needed. Helpful staff - there was an initial issue with our booking which was resolved professionally. Chalets were cleaned daily. Restaurant was decent - understandably not the biggest range of food though. It was windy on the water so we didn't do the boat cruise but I imagine that would be quite scenic. Lovely family holiday - we will be back.

The road there is a challenge in a sedan but we were prepared for this from other reviews. The resort had everything we needed so we didn't need to use the road more than the once to get there and then leave.

Beautiful location with stunning views. We were lucky to have a self-catering chalet facing the water. Facilities were clean and comfortable with fantastic outdoor and indoor facilities. The restaurant food was good and catered for all needs and good facilities for children although the pool was a bit cold. The nature reserve is adequately equipped with fun water activities. There are wild horses, we saw wild baboons roaming when driving to down the entry road as well as buck.there are multiple bird specoes and definitely and anglers paradise on the lake.

It was not that we did not like it but the entry road is about 20km of dirt road so be careful, especially if driving a rental car. We did love the sign posts though, you will understand when you visit.

Nice and peaceful. The quad biking was really awesome, and so was the boat cruise.

For the price that we paid, there should have been aircons or heaters in the place. We had breakfast included, and when I asked for coffee and juice, the waitress gave me such a look as if it wasn't allowed. I would have paid if need be, but I got it and just felt her attitude was wrong. The kids went for horse riding, and the instructor leading them was beating his horse with the whip excessively. Almost to point of animal abuse.

We had one of the revamped units, I believe, so gas was used for cooking, our preference. The unit was clean and tidy. People mentioned about the gravel road, but it isn't too serious, unless you haven't seen one before. It's just time consuming as you drive at 40km/h for 20km. Overall a good experience. (We were snowed in, so it made this trip a first and very special)

The restaurant staff need to speed up a bit. I understand that you're on holiday and need to relax, but if you sit in a restaurant and get to order a drink after 10 or 15 minutes, it's far too long. We also placed an order for meals, mine being a Beef Lasagna and after about twenty minutes - probably when the other meals were ready, the waitress told us that my meal is out of stock. Maybe let your restaurant staff know about the meals and drinks that aren't available on the day at the start of their shift?

Still peaceful and serene, loving the stillness and that dogs are allowed at the resort. It was good to see happy families. The spa staff were super friendly and fun.

It seems the resort has gone backwards since our previous visit. The previous time there were staff that could braai your meat should you need that in the boma, this time around you had to fend for yourself. We then went to the restaurant via the bar, the bartender imply ushered us through the pool room and down corridors on to come out at the other end of the bar, we were not permitted to simply walk through the bar. Arriving at the restaurant we were the only people here and it seems the staff were not happy to serve us, as it was made very clear that everything was happening in the Boma, but the fireplace was lit and looed rather cozy, we got the impression that we were disturbing them, at the end of our meal while we where exiting lights were being switched off

The staff at this property was truly exceptional. Prior to our arrival, they were incredibly responsive to all our queries, ensuring we had all the information we needed. Upon arrival, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality, making us feel right at home. Our unit was immaculate, beautifully furnished, and equipped with all the amenities we could possibly need. The attention to detail and the level of service provided by the staff made our stay unforgettable. There is endless activities to do especially if you have kids. We highly recommend this property for anyone seeking a comfortable and welcoming experience.

Only downfall is the gravel road however it only for 30kms.

Everything was really clean and comfy. The chalet was really spacious for a family. Kitchen was well equipped for making family meals. We also had breakfast at the restaurant which was delicious m the chef came out to make sure we were satisfied with our meals. The chalets are cleaned daily which is a great help when on vacation. They even cleaned the braai area outside! The fireplace is amazing during the colder nights and kept us warm all night while spending quality family time. We were greeted with animals near us and the most beautiful views!! We also played pool and enjoyed the bar area. Check-in and check out was smooth with friendly front desk. The whole experience was very relaxed and we left feeling rested and rejuvenated. We also did a boat trip around the dam for my dad's birthday which was the perfect ending to the weekend. We were so happy that we are planning a summer family vacation!

Road getting there can be bumpy but SO worth it!!

Everything was superb from the moment of arrival. The staff, services, restaurant and facilities were impeccable with knowledge and modernization. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Great laughter, great smiles and friendly staff is what I definitely look forward to on my next stay at Qwantani.

Weather did let us down as it was raining most of our stay which led to us not able to complete the boat cruise. Housekeeping maybe needs a tad bit more training as some beds were made up by the guests and they were not touched by housekeeping. Suggestion to accommodate more Indian travelers is to have more vegetarian options on the menu.

Beautiful views, mountains, nature,amazing dam.Rooms neat, comfortable beds,Nice welcome at the reception,friendly staff,we saw sprigboks kundu s,therapeutic environment ,we enjoyed our stay ,we played different games,tennis,coursy swimming pool,intertainment,food was devine,lovely restaurant and great waitresses very friendly people,speaking zilu,sotho,english and afrikaans very accomodating we felt welcomed.Beautiful dam view from our chalet and beutiful scenario ,birds singing,at night saw an owl amazing everything was perfect. Definitely coming back,what a lovely, peaceful place.

The location of Qwantani is amazing, surrounded by breathtaking views of the dam and mountains. Beautiful and spotlessly clean chalet, yummy breakfast and friendly staff. Lots of activities and entertainment for everyone. It was awesome.

The long drive on the gravel road to Qwantani for approximately one hour.
