I recently had the pleasure of staying at Galini Pension, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. I actually ended up staying longer than expected. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and comfortable. The hosts Bernice and her son, Andreas were incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring that everything was perfect throughout my stay. The accommodation itself was clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The overall ambiance was peaceful and quiet—the luscious garden was beautiful. One of the highlights was the location—conveniently close to local attractions, restaurants, and public transportation, yet tucked away enough to offer privacy and tranquility. It truly felt like a home away from home. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, hassle-free stay. Thank you for such a memorable experience! We spent a few wonderful days at Galini Pension and couldn’t be happier. The hotel is located close to the port — perfect if you’re arriving by ferry — and they offer private parking, which is a big plus if you plan to rent a car and explore the island. The hosts are incredibly kind and always ready to help, offering great recommendations on what to see and where to go. We had a wonderful room — the window opened to a blooming bougainvillea tree, and when the wind blew, petals would float right into the room. We also had a lovely balcony with a small table and chairs, where we enjoyed relaxing and watching the sea. Everything was very clean, cozy, and beautiful. The beach is just a few minutes’ walk away — quiet, sandy, with clear water and no waves. There are also many great restaurants nearby. If you’re looking for a place that’s simple, warm, and full of heart — I highly recommend it

The property is visually stunning with a great communal courtyard styled authentically. The rooms ranged from minimal to lush but great value for money all around. We loved our stay here we met so many like minded travellers and the mother and son duo running this place makes everything seemless. Thanks so much for your hospitality we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay !

The owner was extremely nice and hospitable allowing us an early check in. her son told us all about the activities to do on the island and gave us a discount for an organised bar crawl which was amazing. The rooms were cleaned daily and were well equipped with most things we needed. The location is very good as it is close to the beach (less than a 5 min walk) and only a short walk up the hill to the town and clubs in chora. I cannot stress enough how kind the owners were, cleaning up a smashed wine bottle for us and letting us check out late too.

My only complaint would be that the walk up the hill to the village could be quite long in the heat, the WiFi would sometimes drop out (but was normally back within a few minutes) and a few times the shower would go cold but these were all few and far between so hardly need mentioning

Elizabeth!!! ( the owner) so lovely and makes you feel so at home. Her and her son are always on hand to help. Elizabeth has given me some great suggestion’s of what to do and where to eat. Property is in an ideal location just an 8 minute walk away from the port and about a 2/3 minute walk to the beach. Rooms are fantastic value for money.

Bernise (the owner) and her son were lovely and so helpful and personable. She gave us lots of recommendations and nothing seemed too much trouble. The accommodation itself had a beautiful outside area, and the room was comfortable with air con. It was a short walk to the port and very easy to walk to the bus stop or cafes on the beach front.

The only thing that could be improved was the shower which was only hand held, and it didn’t drain so the shower water overflowed into the bathroom. Wasn’t a major issue as there was a wet room style drain.

Very quiet complex, very beautiful entrance, clean and modern rooms, 5 minute walk from a lovely sandy beach and beach front restaurants. Lovely kind host!

Do not follow Google maps to get here unless it takes you down the sea front or else you'll end up very lost! Greek beds aren't very comfy. Approx 25 minute walk into Chora (the main area) or a 10 minute walk and a 5 minute bus - ask for directions or else you'll get lost! Also Ios starts to shut from October so keep this in mind!

The host was so kind and hospitable. Our first night she introduced us to her son who set us up with actives and recommendations. location is great, nice and close to the port and a short (but steep) walk up to the main town of chora — buses are also available close by that are easy to take up into the town. a couple minutes away from the beach too this hotel is super accessible.

the wifi wasn’t working for us in our room. however they had a garden area which we could sit in and access wifi during the day which was nice

Perfect location. Walking distance to the beach and into town. Our room was perfect with nice clean room and bathroom, and it also had a balcony over looking their beautiful garden. The staff were amazing. They gave us so much advice and recommendations and were always responsive when ever we had any questions. We felt very comfortable here

A very pleasant experience at Pension Galini. Very beautiful space with a courtyard ideal for relaxation. The rooms were clean. The staff were very helpful and gave us very good suggestions on how to spend our days on the island (restaurants, beaches, clubs, transportation)
