The breakfast bar FINALLY added a Kelloggs dispenser. Thank you for adding raisin bran! It's also one of the only hotels in the area that doesn't seem to have an issue with bedbugs/filth/etc., so the value of the price paid is good.

I use the Chateau as my primary "home away from home" in my role as a fraternity advisor @ Illinois State. Something that's almost always been an issue is the bathroom sinks in the rooms I've stayed in. Invariably the drain stopper is either not functioning or hasn't been screwed into place, leaving me to shave using occasional sprays of water vs. having a semi-full sink. Upgrading the exterior is important (I saw pallets of what appeared to be bricks by the driveway this past weekend), but there needs to be something done about the breakfast area to make it more ADA-compliant.

Accomodations were very clean. Beds very comfortable.

After breakfast, before checking out, we could not get into our room It took us 5 tries to the front desk, before we were finally able to get back in our room. They did not seem particularly concerned we could not access our room. Finally one person came upstairs, and looked, but again did not seem overly concerned. He left, and we kept trying, and finally got the key to work, and the front desk attendant seemed surprised when we showed up that we have been able to access the room.

Hotel had a homey feel. And very friendly. Great location. Not far from main road. And was unique.

Though loaded with kids, probably graduates for that weekend so a bit noisy. Weekend breakfast would be nice if went until 10:30 or 11 instead of 10. Eggs were good but some of the other items could be upgraded a little. Add honey for the bread. And flavored creamers for the coffee. We did have to sit outside the breakfast room but understood there were more people due to weekend.

The overall appearance was pleasant, the interior architectural features were lovely and the property was clean. The atmosphere was relaxing and we enjoyed the hotel bar, particularly our bartender. She was very nice and knowledgeable, gave great service with a side of light conversation. The hotel was a very nice surprise, and a steal at the deal we got.

There was some construction in the parking lot so parking wasn’t the greatest, but it’s a temporary and minor inconvenience.

Liked our updated 508 room. Nice cool air-conditioned room right when we walked in. Comfortable bed. Liked the long mirror being close to kitchen sink and outlets and love the light in the mirror. New carpet was a plus. Great free breakfast and pool.

Room needed more outlets. Wish all lamps had a plug for charging electronics. Mirror light in bathroom was flashing, maybe needs repair or battery. Hate the shower doors only being half doors, and shower doesn't drain since it's not on a slant. Would have been nice to have 2 large bath towels as 2 adults stayed in the room. One towel was large and pushed, and the other was small and thin.

It was an excellent location for my needs. I enjoyed the array of hot breakfast options. I particularly liked the individual character of the facility and the unique, inviting, elegant, decidedly non-generic decor in public spaces. My bed had four pillows…different firmness/filling options. Staff was friendly, professional, efficient and knowledgeable. Got a kick out of the good-natured snack “bribe” option for writing a review. I wasn’t traveling with children but it definitely appeared to be both per and child-friendly.

Appreciate that the “Waffle” station for breakfast is located away from the main breakfast path, since making waffles is a time investment…but wish there had been plates available there as well…and a little counter/table space for people to balance their other breakfast choices while awaiting the “done” beeps (-;..could see that presented a consistent challenge in that location

I loved the charm of this place. There are so many artifacts & interesting antiques around the property. For instance there are actual Chiluli glass artworks hanging from the glass peaks in the entrance. The staff was very friendly. Check in was smooth. The pool & spa were very clean & nice to swim in. Plenty of parking too

It’s old. It’s in desperate need of an update. Paint is chipping, wallpaper is peeling. The carpet needs to be replaced. There’s duct tape covering cracks on the floor in the elevator. The wall sconces turn on & off randomly. Keep the relics & the charm but new carpet & paint would go a long way

Room was wonderful. Was like stepping back in time several decades but with all todays aminities. Antique pieces all over the hotel, beautiful renaissance framed paintings, spacious, sunken library with fire place and several other enjoyable items.

The bacon(yes they have bacon) was not delicious, they are having trouble maintaining the grounds, i saw a few non threatening people loitering.

The breakfast was good with a nice variety of items. The coffee was excellent. The location was great. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I liked the room, the bed was very nice and the shower was nice. I had always wanted to stay at the chateau, and I am happy I chose to stay there.

The attached restaurant is being remodeled. How ever it did not interfere with our stay in any way.

Interesting architecture and grand facilities. The room was updated and comfortable with very cozy towels.

The kitchen closed an hour early, but they didn't notify the front desk. I tried calling for room service a couple times just to go downstairs and find out I had to find other dinner plans. Also my room had some maintenance issues (wobbly toilet and a flickering light).
