The staff in the Victoria Hotel from the front desk to the wait staff were unbelievably attentive and gracious. When we informed them that we had an early flight and would miss breakfast, they prepared us a box lunch. Our bed was super comfy and our room was larger than most rooms we've had in Scotland. We had a wonderful stay from start to finish. We were sorry we couldn't stay longer.

From the first welcome to our final goodbye, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and clean (except a few dust bunnies). The food for breakfast was fantastic, fresh and tasty, with a good range of options. The evening meals were again lovely and fresh. But possibly a mix of different veg would have been nice. Peas and carrots are not everyone's favourite. Only downside was the shower being weak and taking a while to warm up. However, it did not dampen our stay. We would highly recommend this hotel and we would certainly be happy to stay here again.

Lovley hotel spotlessly clean. Staff we very polite and friendly forgot bar ladies name on Monday night but she was very helpful on our pending trip into Edinburgh thanks . Food was very tasty and plentiful we had breakfast also had two evening meals very nice. Room was big and spotless also bed was very comfy 😌 shower was amazing nice hot rainfall shower . No problem with parking either .

The long walk to the front well the coming back was draining but that doesn't reflect on hotel just a long walk to front then on front no cafes or bars that would have been nice .

The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the station. Reception was prompt and friendly. The single room was very small but perfectly acceptable for one night's stay. The room and en suite have been refurbished to modern standards and were spotlessly clean. The restaurant is in a large wood-panelled room, part of the original house built for a local businessman. The dinner menu offered a wide range of dishes and food was served promptly. Breakfast was served to order. The quality of food was good. All-in-all, my stay was pleasant and comfortable and met my expectations.

One small point: it was a warm afternoon when I arrived and the room was hot and stuffy. Although I was pleased that the heavy wooden sash window could be opened, I could not prevent it from closing itself, so had to resort to propping it open for a few inches using a tea cup for want of anything more suitable.

Very clean and tidy. Staff were excellent. Food was good. We had free parking and hotel is a good starting point to explore Fife.

I booked ahead and asked for a decent room as it was our anniversary. My request was acknowledged positively. On Arrival I was given keys to room 9 which was tiny and had a window that was frosted over with no view. I complained and was moved to room 3 which was excellent. Minor points that I didn't like was the bed although comfortable was only a double and the floor in the shower cubicle was extremely slippy although there was a hand hold on the cubicle wall but showering with one hard is not easy.

The bed was very comfortable. The room cam with a fan which was very nice for when the weather was warmer. The room was very clean and well kept. The staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel is also close to an Aldi and the train station which is very convenient. There are also quite a few sit-in restaurants that are about a 5-10 minute walk away so you always have options available.

I would have loved to have a mini refrigerator in the room ( I would have been willing to pay more if the room came with one ). The Wi-Fi was quite quick but would drop out routinely requiring you to reconnect frequently ( maybe 2 to 3 times per hour )

Food was good for a short stay, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.. The hotel was newly decorated to a high standard and the historical nature of the original part was interesting.

On arrival, we were given a small room which was below our expectation as we had booked a deluxe double.. It was very small and stuffy, with no room for cases etc. After discusson with staff, we were moved to a better room, but noticed that many of the rooms seemed uniformly small and more suited to short stays.

Very comfortable room with friendly staff, an excellent breakfast and a solid restaurant menu. I particularly enjoyed the Haddock Mornay (haddock with mashed potatoes, spinach and cheesy mornay sauce) - it would be worth returning for! Good car parking with two set aside as accessible.

All the rooms are on the first floor and the height to the first floor is higher than normal. No easy to use handrail provided. That said I was able to leave my lightweight mobility scooter in reception and the staff and other guests were very helpful - carrying my bags up the stairs.

Room was clean, shower was fantastic. Facilities in room basic tea, coffee and one pack of biscuits. Breakfast once it arrived was fantastic, had plenty on it to help cure the hangover. The haggis and black pudding were exceptional meant to ask if the black pudding was Stornoway as it was that good.

Room was very hot but did come with a fan but no chance of sleeping with it on. We opened the window but as we were out from of hotel it was very noisy with cars passing and then folks leaving the snooker hall round the back.

Breakfast was good and plentiful, staff at hotel were very nice. I also ate quite a few meals other than breakfast and for the most part they were very good. Lunch and dinner was quite popular with local diners. Room well cleaned every day.

My biggest regret was that my room (#11) was quite stuffy and for most of the day and evening I could not open my window because of the large, noisy kitchen vent that sat about 3 feet away on the roof outside. Once the kitchen closed and the vent shut down it was fine.
