We loved our stay at Aberdour Hotel & Stables as we were continuing the Fife Coastal path which is in the perfect location if you’re looking for accommodation in Aberdour or just visiting. All our amenities were very good. We had our tea and breakfast the food was delicious and a must, all the staff were very polite and accommodating, go out there way to make your stay very enjoyable. If you’re looking for provisions shops in a very short walking distance from the accommodation.

I would say the bar is cosy & relaxing a small tv would be a great addition and more or better positioned sockets in room { I am being picky} and would not put us off staying we loved it.

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean. Bathroom was clean with powerful hot shower. Location is great, for dog walks. Close to two nice small⁹ beaches and a lovely walk alongside the golf course with great views of the Firth of Forth and Edinburgh to the south. Train station is only 100m away. Breakfast was excellent. Good choice of food on the pub / restaurant menu and the food and service was great. Aberdour has a surprisingly good variety of shops - supermarket, cafe, delicatessen, bottle shop, hotel, pub, gift shops, cash point, beach cafe, vintage.........

The small hotel car park is used for outdoor seating in the summer. Need to park on street or in the nearby station car park. Not a deal breaker. The blinds on the dormer windows in the upper stable rooms let in a lot of light.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, especially the lady who was in charge of breakfast/housekeeping! The location was excellent, lovely and scenic whilst only a 2 min walk to the train station and a 30 min journey into Edinburgh. The room was cosy, clean and comfortable, can't ask for much more. The food was superb and some great drink options (Timmy Taylors Landlord) 😄

The room key was on a keyring, which was a cord with a cork ball on the end. It was a bit awkward to try and put in your pocket. Only a very minor issue!

Food was excellent, staff were friendly especially the kitchen staff. This is a really nice village with a beautiful beach which I happened upon by accident. I ate dinner and breakfast here and both were excellent.

My room was upstairs in the stables out the back and was very basic and poorly furnished, entrance badly lit so difficult to get the keys in. Blinds didn’t work so woken early in the morning. This room strikes me as a late addition and no real thought went into it.

Location was excellent, just a few minutes walk from the station, to travel into Edinburgh. Our room was warm and the bed comfortable. The quality and value of both breakfast and dinner was very good - tasty, hot, and served with a smile. Definitely recommend the Friday steak deal, also the Fish Pie was delicious.

Both bedroom and bathroom are very dated and overdue a refurb. One of the bath taps was hanging off and tricky to use.

pub with rooms on the village high street, limited parking available to the rear of the hotel was very helpful. Staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful. I sat in the lounge bar, which was busy on a late afternoon, and ate both my evening meal and breakfast in the hotel. I would describe the food as "pub grub plus" but all the courses I ate were good. Standard UK breakfast , with all hot courses prepared freshly, which was good. Yes, I would visit again

Good breakfast, with a selection of cooked options though we found the water made the tea taste strange- maybe just a temporary thing. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable.

Our room was on the top floor and the floor sloped a little, which some might find disconcerting. You also need to watch the wee step into the bathroom.

It in Aberdour which is a lovely wee village, which has its own castle, and the hotel is only a 5-10 minute walk to a nice beach. The food is excellent at the hotel. Wide range and very tasty, service is also friendly and helpful.

It didn’t bother us at all, but there’s no car park on site - there is however free parking only a few mins walk away.

The car park was in two minutes walk distance. Of course with big luggage it would have been nice to have it in the backyard of the hotel. But it was free parking and there was place so, all good .

Only a short 1 night stay but everything about this hotel was great, beer fresh, main meals delicious (best steak pie so far on road trip), full Scottish Breakfast (inc) was filling. Pam and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was warm and comfortable, the bed was big but could do with a mattress topper. The bathroom was spotless clean and the water pressure in the shower was hot and hard and just what we needed. A delightful seaside village just outside Edinburgh over the amazingly built Queensferry bridge across the River Forth. Highly recommended for your next adventure to Scotland.

Everything was great, maybe could do with a mattress upgrade but still slept fine.
