Very good breakfast with plenty of choices both continental and cooked. The room was slightly small but did not impact on our stay. Good storage. Lovely bathroom. Being on the east side of the hotel the room was a wee bit dark but this was due to the trees. Had dinner there each night, very tasty and freshly cooked but would have liked it if there were more dishes with potatoes and veg rather than rice or chips. Staff were very pleasant and couldn't have been more helpful. Garden was lovely to sit in and relax.

Waiting staff at breakfast! Tended to prefer talking to each other rather than serve & advise guests what was available for breakfast & where to get it. eg fruit juice, cereal etc. This is the only hotel where toast was not given. When we enquired was advised we should have asked for it !!!!!!

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful with local area knowledge. Restaurant and bar facilities were good with a wide selection of food and drinks for all, the only negative is that they ran out of Steak & Ale pies ;) The rooms were clean, well-equipped and comfortable.

Only one bit of feedback, and it's very minor, having a direct line or list of taxi numbers would be useful at the front desk. Although, the reception staff were really helpful in organising a taxi for our group. Point to note: there are no uber drivers in operation in Dunfermline.

Stayed for 2 nights - loved the size of room and the bathroom with bath tub. Bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed. Staff super friendly and very welcoming and helpful with our questions about getting around the area and to Edinburgh.The restaurant and bar was also on site so we didn’t need to go anywhere for dinner or breakfast. Though there are shops within 5 min walk if you wanted to. Thank you was perfect place to stay - highly recommend.

Walls a little thin - but that is expected in most places and wasn’t an issue for us.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for three nights, while we went on an excursion. The hotel has an excellent structure, the staff are friendly and polite. The room is spacious, warm, smells nice, clean and has an excellent shower! However, there are some points that could be improved: - During the days that we were staying, the mugs that we used were not washed or changed. - I only had breakfast one day at the hotel, because the quality of the hot chocolate was very poor. I complained to the professional who was serving us, I told him that the hot chocolate tasted strange, that it seemed like it had water in it and he replied: “We usually make it with milk, but today we made it with water, so it’s just water and chocolate powder!”. I’m not from Scotland, I don’t know if it’s customary there to make hot chocolate with just water and chocolate powder, but I really thought it was strange and bad. - There’s no telephone in the room, so to speak to the reception you have to go there. But without a doubt, we would stay at the hotel again. Congratulations to the entire team!

Lovely location, with a south facing garden looking towards the Firth of Forth. It was not quite warm enough to take advantage in the evening of the tables and chairs outside Three bridges very obvious . Spacious grounds at the front with plenty of trees. Car parking was not directly in front of the hotel. Bistro where we ate dinner was in the south facing conservatory. room. Although the menu was the same each night, there was still plenty to chose from. Excellent wine that was very good value for money. Convivial conversations with members of the Belgian tour group staying in the hotel the first night we were there.

The location of the smoking area, which was immediately outside our bedroom window. It was very attractive for smokers but we were kept awake by raucous groups using it at towards the end of a function being held in the Saturday night. I had to go and complain twice. The music became much louder in the last half hour or so of the end of the function ( at miidnight) , and it kept us awake too. When we left on Sunday staff told us they are thinking of removing chairs from the smoking area to discourage people from lingering there. We thought that was a good idea. Another time we'd ask for a room on the other side of the corridor.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was efficient and helpful. Amenities in room (tea service, biscuits, extra blanket) appreciated. the gardens are well kept and a lovely place for tea.

Would have like a few ala carte items or side orders for breakfast for those just wanting, for example, and egg and toast, instead of full Scottish or Continental. We had to pay full price for full Scottish when we just wanted and egg and bacon.

We were only staying 1 night in Edinburgh to collect a friend coming in on an early morning flight, so we weren't really focusing too much on the location. However Dunfermline was an unexpected pleasure as we discovered the Abbey and had a lovely morning exploring around there. The hotel kindly let us delay checkout by an hour, so our friend could get an extra hour of sleep. They were all very pleasant and helpful. Not many hotels offer rooms with 3 beds - so this was a great find for us.

No elevator and the staircase to our area had a door at the top of it, so it was a bit cumbersome to get larger cases up there.

We stayed in a triple room, which was lovely and spacious. Staff were so lovely, both on reception and bar/food area. Ample parking onsite, and luggage taken to our room. Our evening meal was delicious! Short drive in to town.

Our room was like finding Narnia 😆 and passage was a bit awkward (there was a door styled like a 'kissing gate' that we had to pass through one at a time and some narrow spaces). But the advantage of having a triple room far outweighed any inconvenience.

The location was perfect, close to both the Town centre and my in-laws house in nearby Halbeath. Very central for all amenities but the Hotel itself was nice and quiet, set in spacious grounds, with ample parking to the front and rear. The restaurant served good meals, and with two bars running concurrently there was no problems getting a drink!

The rooms are functional and very clean. They are a touch dated with regards to the furniture, but spacious enough. I think the rooms would benefit from a small fridge, to keep beverages, snacks etc cool. None of these points are criticisms as the hotel itself is more than functional and in my opinion v good VFM
