It's perfectly situated just across the bridge from Edinburgh and a short ride from Dunfermline, with a view of the sea and the bridges on a clear day. The owner could not have been kinder, helping me sort myself out when I realized I'd made a mistake on the original reservation. The staff were also very warm and friendly. The restaurant was excellent, and extremely popular with the locals, but the room, just a few floors up, was wonderfully quiet. The room was calming and charming in nautical dusty blue, and blissfully comfortable after a long day of traveling. The bed was firm but not too, with an assortment of pillows, the bathroom floor could be heated, the closet was generous, there was a small desk and two window seats (though the sloped roof would make conversation between them a bit comical), the shower was large with excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. If they added plush robes and an extra blanket, I don't think any 5 star hotel could do better.

Honestly my only challenge was the popularity of the restaurant which made me feel slightly uncomfortable taking up space when there was always a queue for a table by late morning. The dining area could also get quite loud by that time in the day, though mornings were quieter and it may be otherwise at different times of the year. But for late risers and introverts, there is also the Sundial cafe just down the way which is cozy and quiet and criminally under-patronized. Pillows were on the thinner side, but there were plenty of them to compensate. There was a fan that came on with the bathroom light, but it was not too loud.

The property is actually a cafe with rooms on the second floor. The rooms were very spacious and had a king sized bed and two single beds. The toilet was also very big equipped with a large shower. Very comfortable room with just nice heating that was turned on throughout the day. We did not have breakfast there but the latte was very delicious and was purchased using a £5 voucher that was placed in the room by the kind staff. The location is superb as you can see the ocean from the window.

If you are driving, parking is a slight challenge in the day as there are many who visit the cafe during breakfast and lunch. However, during the evening and night, there should be some available spots close to the hotel.

Seperate cafe below is convenient albeit rather noisy with all the hard surfaces could do with some sound attenuation soft surfaces .wee breakfast tasty and reasonably priced .. had scrambled egg without checking menu pricing 2 rounds of toast but only one had eggs on it ! Why? .£10 50 shocking /poor value.. service was quick despite being quite busy ..was told by waitress most people just having hot drinks ...now I know why ... too pricey which may make me seek accommodation elsewhere next time which is a shame as nice location

Beautiful location and the room was immaculate. The staff were very kind and considerate. My husband and and I only live 15 minutes away, but decided to stay there with friends and family who were up for our daughter’s wedding. (We stayed there the day after the wedding as a cheeky extra night away) The wedding venue was relatively nearby. The Coorie was a lovely place for them to stay for a few days with marvellous views. They stayed for three nights and enjoyed their stay. We were really glad that we took advantage to stay for a night. Delicious breakfast, all freshly cooked to order. I am coeliac (gluten free) and there were no problems. Plenty of choice for vegans and vegetarians too. Would highly recommend.

Coorie was the first stop on our holiday and it really lived up to the expectation. Our room was very cozy, and the bed was comfortable. The wifi was also working nicely, and the accommodation is right by the water. There are really nice areas nearby to walk around, and it's located close to many bigger towns around where you can do shopping or go to restaurants - even Edinburgh is only a ~40-45 minute drive from there. Their restaurant is also very high quality and it's worth a try!

Not so much as a didn't like, but our back window was facing the back of the building - which was pretty much just pipes and a chimney (or something like that). It's also situated right next to a slope, so looking out we could only see the ground - not much of a sight. Then again, this is very nitpicky, and if you just leave the building, then you have fantastic views. Also there is some floor heating in the bathroom, but that was not working during the summer. Not really an issue, but it was not documented in the welcome guide and had to ask about it.

We absolutely loved Coorie by the Coast! We stayed in Room 1 and it was fitted out beautifully. It had everything we needed and included lovely little touches like caramel wafers, drinks coasters, etc. and even a £5 discount voucher to use in the cafe/restaurant! We were welcomed so warmly by Eileidh who made us feel at home and treated us like honoured guests! The cafe is superb - in addition to the "normal" food, they offer a huge range of items that are gluten free, vegetarian or vegan. Everything is sourced locally and you can tell this by the freshness and quality of the food.

Nothing! We were initially worried about where to park but it was never an issue - we parked right outside Coorie every day.

Where to begin... to describe how beautiful this B&B is? First of all, it is right on the seafront, which is always very pleasant. It is housed in a charming historic building. Despite this, the interiors have been tastefully restored with attention to the “Modern Cozy Coastal” style. The rooms are very large, as is the bathroom. The beds are large and comfortable. There is also a lovely spacious outdoor area, with tables and benches. The perfect place to enjoy the sea ;-) You can choose whether or not to have breakfast here, but the Café is very inviting, as are its culinary offerings. The location is also interesting, in the quiet village of Limekilns, a 40-minute drive from Edinburgh Airport. But the icing on the cake is always the human factor: extremely friendly and helpful staff! If you arrive outside the Cafe's opening hours, you can access the B&B via a very easy self-check-in system.

An extra coat hook would have been useful... but there is no shortage of space. It is important to note that for those with mobility issues, there are several flights of stairs to access the rooms... So: suitable for many, but not for everyone...

A very nice, small B&B above a cafe, this was a perfect spot by the coast. The room was great, cafe had a lovely breakfast in the morning and delicious treats in the afternoon. The town of Limekilns is small and cute. I was able to quickly drive to Dumfermline to see the palace and museum.

Only one dinner option in town, which was good, Bruce Arms, but the kitchen was only open 5-7:30, so take note. The Coorie cafe closes at 4:30. The other pub I was was closed M-Tue.

The hotel was perfect for our requirements. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, with lovely duvet and pillows. The shower was really good.

The only issue I had was with the breakfast. There were 4 of us having breakfast, although one was just a children's toast and jam. It took a long time to arrive despite there only being 3 tables of people there and my scrambled egg on gluten free toast wasn't good. The egg was lukewarm, almost cold and the toast was so hard it was almost impossible to cut. We didn't have the time available to wait for a replacement so I didn't say anything at the time, but it was the only disappointment of our stay.

Absolutely charming accomodation. Comfortable bed, spotlessly clean room and en suite, large towels, and lovely view. Went down to the cafe for breakfast and the meals were delicious and reasonably priced, staff was pleasant and friendly. Would highly recommend this accommodation. This accommodation is only 15 minutes from Edinburgh airport which makes it a perfect place to land the night before a flight.

The only thing that we didn’t like was beyond their control, unfortunately this accommodation isn’t accessible without climbing several runs of stairs which makes it less suitable for elderly or disabled patrons. But do still visit the cafe, it was lovely.
