We absolutely loved Coorie by the Coast! We stayed in Room 1 and it was fitted out beautifully. It had everything we needed and included lovely little touches like caramel wafers, drinks coasters, etc. and even a £5 discount voucher to use in the cafe/restaurant! We were welcomed so warmly by Eileidh who made us feel at home and treated us like honoured guests! The cafe is superb - in addition to the "normal" food, they offer a huge range of items that are gluten free, vegetarian or vegan. Everything is sourced locally and you can tell this by the freshness and quality of the food.

Nothing! We were initially worried about where to park but it was never an issue - we parked right outside Coorie every day.

Where to begin... to describe how beautiful this B&B is? First of all, it is right on the seafront, which is always very pleasant. It is housed in a charming historic building. Despite this, the interiors have been tastefully restored with attention to the “Modern Cozy Coastal” style. The rooms are very large, as is the bathroom. The beds are large and comfortable. There is also a lovely spacious outdoor area, with tables and benches. The perfect place to enjoy the sea ;-) You can choose whether or not to have breakfast here, but the Café is very inviting, as are its culinary offerings. The location is also interesting, in the quiet village of Limekilns, a 40-minute drive from Edinburgh Airport. But the icing on the cake is always the human factor: extremely friendly and helpful staff! If you arrive outside the Cafe's opening hours, you can access the B&B via a very easy self-check-in system.

An extra coat hook would have been useful... but there is no shortage of space. It is important to note that for those with mobility issues, there are several flights of stairs to access the rooms... So: suitable for many, but not for everyone...

A very nice, small B&B above a cafe, this was a perfect spot by the coast. The room was great, cafe had a lovely breakfast in the morning and delicious treats in the afternoon. The town of Limekilns is small and cute. I was able to quickly drive to Dumfermline to see the palace and museum.

Only one dinner option in town, which was good, Bruce Arms, but the kitchen was only open 5-7:30, so take note. The Coorie cafe closes at 4:30. The other pub I was was closed M-Tue.

The hotel was perfect for our requirements. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, with lovely duvet and pillows. The shower was really good.

The only issue I had was with the breakfast. There were 4 of us having breakfast, although one was just a children's toast and jam. It took a long time to arrive despite there only being 3 tables of people there and my scrambled egg on gluten free toast wasn't good. The egg was lukewarm, almost cold and the toast was so hard it was almost impossible to cut. We didn't have the time available to wait for a replacement so I didn't say anything at the time, but it was the only disappointment of our stay.

Absolutely charming accomodation. Comfortable bed, spotlessly clean room and en suite, large towels, and lovely view. Went down to the cafe for breakfast and the meals were delicious and reasonably priced, staff was pleasant and friendly. Would highly recommend this accommodation. This accommodation is only 15 minutes from Edinburgh airport which makes it a perfect place to land the night before a flight.

The only thing that we didn’t like was beyond their control, unfortunately this accommodation isn’t accessible without climbing several runs of stairs which makes it less suitable for elderly or disabled patrons. But do still visit the cafe, it was lovely.

I only had food on one morning as I had other commitments, but the smoked salmon and lemon cream cheese bagel with pea shoots was delicious, and the cakes and scones looked lovely. Loved the gift selection as well and they do gift vouchers too, great idea. Room was very clean, warm, good shower with lovely hot water, bed comfy, and super quiet. As a solo traveller it is really nice only 6 rooms so not too busy but it has everything a hotel has to offer except it doesn't open late or do dinner which in my eyes is okay, you get to experience other local places too best of both worlds. I would definitely recommend.

There was no soap on the wash basin? I took the soap from the shower to use. Perhaps those who don't drink normal tea a selection of herbal or flavoured teas in the room. Only other observation was lighting to the entry door for the hotel quite dark but as you approach the door a light comes on, but can understand perhaps neighbours do not like lights coming on randomly at different times.

The room was clean, comfortable and just what we were looking for. Really liked that the shower control was just inside the shower door so you didn't get soaked when turning the shower on. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a 'tapping' sound which we rung the owners about, it turned out to be the heating had been turned on for another guest. The food in the cafe in the morning for breakfast was very good and the staff friendly too.

Our only tiny thing was we didn't know the wi-fi code until the morning when we saw it in the cafe - this could do with being in the guest information.

Lovely spacious clean room with views over the Firth of Forth. Good size ensuite with underfloor heating. Great quiet location but within easy driving distance of tourist attractions. The cafe downstairs is friendly and does lovely food during the day.

We were there for a 3 night stay and the room could be made cosier and more comfortable for that length of stay. For example a coffee table by the window seats for books and cups, a set of drawers in the large wardrobe, a tooth brush holder and a few pictures would add an extra touch to the room.

I love this place. Only my second visit but if ever I’m working within 30mins, I’m staying here.. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Also knowledgeable! Both times I have been lucky to get a sea view room. Had room 3 this time. Preferred it to loft room because this room has a low level window and window seat. This was a massive bonus because I hurt by back the day before and had to spend downtime (which was all day) laying in bed so that view saved my mental health from plummeting.. Rooms have all you need. Is I had to spend the day in bed I went through tea like nobody’s business. Staff kindly handed me loads of tea bags and sugar to see me through.

The porch light was bright but it shone in such a way that the entry key code was hard to read. Then again my eyes are the best..

My husband and I loved the location, cleanliness, and overall value. It was such a cozy and clean place. We enjoyed our walks along the shoreline and pier and the overall views from our room. We also ate at the restaurant one day and were very pleased with the yummy food and drinks. We thought it was easy to check in and check out. For being some extra rooms above a restaurant this place felt very accommodating.

Room and floor were slightly crooked which was disorienting at first but fine. It seems an old, adorable building so makes sense.
