The hotel has an amazing ambience, and the rooms are very different from other hotels, but they are beautifully decorated.

When booking a hotel, the reason I booked it was due to its price compared to the normal airport hotels. It said it had a courtesy bus to the airport. It was not available to me in either direction to the airport. For the extra money I had to pay for taxis I could have stayed at one of the airport hotels. Was not a great start to my 2 week holiday. Please do not advertise courtesy bus if it is not available it cost me an extra £50 approximately for taxis.

The location was excellent — conveniently situated outside the busy center of Edinburgh, yet still easily accessible for travel. Having a Tesco right next to the hotel was very handy, and there were plenty of good dining options nearby. The rooms were also impressive — clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities.

Upon check-in, we found that the TV Wi-Fi was not working. We tried calling from the room but received no answer. We then went to the reception desk, but unfortunately, no staff acknowledged us or offered assistance. During check-out, we again experienced poor service — the receptionist was on a lengthy phone call and did not acknowledge the guests waiting in line. There is definitely room for improvement in customer service. With the exception of one or two standout staff members, the reception service needs improvement. That said, the hotel itself is a wonderful place to stay.

We are always intrigued how these beautiful hotels are designed. The kettle could not be plugged in without moving in onto the window sill to find the nearest power socket and from a female point of view.... again there is no power point nearby a mirror, so hair dryer cord had to be plugged into the wall far away from the mirror on the desk. Other hotels we have visited have a full length mirror with power socket incorporated...😊... Fantastic!🤩 Will definitely not stop us from returning but could do with being looked at from a females point of view.

The room was very spacious, comfortable bed, I loved the armchair and woolen blankets. Very nice design of the whole hotel incl. the foyer and the bar. Great location for reaching the airport early in the morning.

The bathroom feels surprisingly cheap and out-of-place as the design looks 15 years old and the execution of tiles etc is kinda bad. One can’t control shower flow, only temperature, it leaks pretty much when you open the door after. The one-time-use soap bar feels unsustainable as well. It is still pretty alright, but it lowers the overall impression given how nice the other parts are.

The location was great, it was a short walk to the town where there was plenty to see and lovely restaurants. The staff were lovely and the hotel itself was nice. Very modern. The room we had was 206, which was so spacious. We had a great stay and would definitely book again.

I wouldn't say I didn't like the bathroom but it was designed for disabled people which from that perspective is fantastic as it was thought out so well. I am just not a fan of the wet room layout myself, as I couldn't put anything on my feet to go into the bathroom again as it was too wet and I am not a fan of walking barefoot in hotels. Apart from that minor personal issue everything else was good.

Aside from the fact I struggled to actually see where the entrance to the actual hotel was when I arrived (just because it’s such a cool building at night ) the hotel is absolutely gorgeous., fabulous reception, amazing lift !, super cool room …& a really comfy bed. Also gorgeous selection of teas , coffee and biscuits.,

My only criticisms (which are small things ) were it has Venetian blinds which mean it’s not super dark at night and could therefore do with some black out blinds too , & then the only place with hooks are hangers for hanging my coat, was on the back of the bathroom door ?, so not ideal (& easy to forget !) - the hidden hanging space (behind the bed) is only suitable for short jackets , trousers (in half ) , skirts , shirts etc , but not long enough for coats dresses etc.

Staff very friendly, though not very knowledgeable about surrounding restaurants. the rather large parking lot can get crowded on a Saturday evening, but there is plenty of street parking nearby. There is a large Tesco the next building over. The cleaning staff was friendly and polite. Not a very exciting part of town, but close to major intersections. A 20 minute walk down to the main road by the water. Plenty of electric sockets and a few USB/USB-C plugs.

The shower worked fine, but there was only an overhead rain-showerhead or a handheld showerhead. I like my showerhead on the wall so it can send water diagonally without my holding it. The amenities were not refilled. The lights in the bathroom are rather dim - awful for makeup and other personal grooming. They do have lighted mirrors you can borrow, but I only found out on checkout. The mattress was not flat, and the indentations were not at the right places for me.

Shuttle service was incredibly fast and driver was super helpful with getting me from the arrivals to the hotel as I had not stayed in this area before. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was quickly checked in, and given card to my room. The decor, and open fire in the lobby is great welcome, having left -3 outside. My double room was warm, clean and comfortable. The rainfall shower was great, and loads of tv options as Sky is provided. The wi-fi can be little hit and miss but saw no great issue for me, given I was working some days from my room. It was super quiet and very spacious. Transport wise, there are several bus stops which can get you to the City Centre, just prep your time wise and more than enough "X" buses turn up for when you need one. I worked from the lobby on several days and it was still very quiet, staff in the restaurant very kind and checking if more caffeine was needed. Plenty of sockets and seemed the place to be for meetings but again without loudness or interference. Loved the decor in the lobby and the christmas decs, were a lovely touch! There is a HUGE supermarket on your doorstep too should you need it. One thing throughout my entire stay was how helpful and friendly everyone was! I was able to get the shuttle for my departure but honestly, would've happily have stayed a few more nights.

Nothing.. but can appreciate some people would want wifi on all the time without needing booster via TV. But I had no issues!

The breakfast was good but the food a little on the cool side, plates were warm which is good. Our evening meal was very good and we all enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodation was clean and comfortable.

I had taken up the upgrade offer for a “King” room and on arrival found a standard double room. On querying this at reception I was told that the beds on the 4th floor were standard doubles and the “King” referred to the facilities, when I asked about the facilities I was told we had a fridge!! Nothing in it other than water but it was a fridge.. Ridiculously poor description, after which I couldn’t be bothered arguing further.

Sumptuous, comfortable, beautiful design with lots of details and hugh quality. The staff were all excellent- professional and knowledgeable. Breakfast was extensive and with a lot of variety including a warm Breakfast menu.

The WiFi was complicated and only functioned with the TV on and connected which was a distraction when trying to work. They assisted quickly in connecting codes though. But tv had to be on at the same time to work. Bit antiquated and not effective. Slow signal
