Staff were very helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived until checking out. Everywhere was very clean and recently refurbished. Breakfast was cooked fresh and was very good.

Restaurant was closed.

Lovely little rooms,very clean and nice bathroom Local fish shop attached to hotel,which for some maybe a good thing.there for a 50 th birthday party in Inverkeith so very near.good parking at hotel.would stay again as represents good value.

Breakfast I found the buffet element very basic. Tea and coffee cold ,when we asked for hot water ,waitress said she had closed off the buffet area but would bring a fresh pot as an exception as if she was doing us a favor. apologised for delay in cooked Breakfast

Rooms were lovely and big, very clean and very comfortably furnished. The facilities were great and it was nice and quiet being tucked away a couple of minutes from the main road. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and made you feel very welcome. I didn't have any major problems at all.

It's a fair walk (~20 mins) to the nearest train station (though there is a bus stop very nearby and plenty of parking). Breakfast was lovely though after 4 days was a bit repetitive (it's clear most people don't stay that long) - there wasn't heaps of choice for veggies, etc but still sufficient that I was very happy and full every morning.

Lovely hotel. Staff are really lovely. Was nice to see the same staff still working there on my second visit to the hotel. Rooms are clean , beds are comfortable. Absolutely love the en suite bathroom. (In fact I am going to refurbish my bathroom in this style) Fantastic breakfast which is included in the price. Looking forward to my next stay.

I wish there were more teas and milks in the room. I drink a lot of tea! But I’m sure if i had have asked for more it would be fine.

Decent location and quiet enough. Room was nice and a good size, good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful. I liked that there was a pub and restaurant in the hotel and there was a chip shop right next to it.

No breakfast included. Our room only had half a toilet roll and no hairdryer so had to ask for both of these at reception. Reception wasn't manned, had to pick up a phone and ask for a member of staff to come through to assist.

As per other reviews, set in what looked like a residential neighbourhood. Similar feel to other budget hotels but even better in my opinion. Everything I expected (tv and tea/coffee) and I didn't need anything more. Met by receptionist on arrival who answered all important questions. Unmanned desk overnight and when not busy but they clearly state method of contact overnight (by phone) and at other times or via other available staff (cleaners, waitress etc) dotting around. Friendly and reassuring staff (John), clean and cosy rooms, no noise from outside. Nicely decorated clean en-suite with toiletries provided. Shower-size very good. Lovely breakfast with the usual toast cereal, fruit and tea/coffee as well as one cooked to order. Cooked breakfast portion was more than expected. Everything was done efficiently. Hotel is only a little bit off the main motorway, and easy to find. I pass this way a few times in the year and would consider using this again as my preferred stop.

Only heard noise through other residents leaving early morning because they allowed their doors to bang which is not the fault of the hotel.

We stayed over for 3 nights. The room is comfortable in design and stocked with lots of goodies to make you feel welcome. Breakfast every morning was good. Every member of staff were extremely helpful and friendly from check-in to check-out. Rachel is an amazing example of what proper customer service is all about. We will certainly come back.

Nothing that I didn't like.

The staff were great, the room was clean and tidy, the location handy for a bus ride into Edinburgh, breakfast was included, and it’s certainly value for money.

The water pressure in the shower was the worst we have experienced on our holiday, needs a boost, this would make us think twice about staying there again. The breakfast, while free, could have included some Muesli but this is only a small point. TV in the room was a little on the small side.

Booked last minute for a visit to Edinburgh. The owner was very helpful with the bus to catch as we were going to get a taxi to ferrytoll park and ride but he advised we could get bus approximately 10mins walk from hotel straight into Edinburgh. Hotel was very clean, comfortable and the staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was good. Would definitely return. Thanks to everyone for all your help and service.

The place was clean comfortable and in a good location for us.

Not really a dislike but there was only hand wash in the shower, no shampoo or conditioner which I thought it said there would be. The bar and restaurant in the hotel was not open which I did not see stated anywhere on booking. Although the public bar round the corner was OK and letvus take a take away in.
