Bath room And bath tub is very big And clean

Breakfast is not good… 3 days stay they have given same breakfast.. Very few options for vegetarian and vegan .

The hotel was fantastic, the beds are incredible, the room are big and well designed and the breakfast was more than enough. The surroundings of the hotel are quiet and lovely especially in a scholar area The bus lines are perfect from the Hotel to the city !

sometimes the restaurant staff seems to be a bit aggressive. for example, the first day I was a bit lost and I directly went to the breakfast buffet to prepare my breakfast without taking care of the surroundings and someome jumped on me telling me that I have to announce myself first and not make myself confortable. The bus service does not deserve the hotel properly from the airport

This is a nice hotel, nice decor, good parking, friendly reception. Room size is very good, excellent bed. Water pressure was poor in our room, which was a shame as everything else in the room was good. The breakfasts were a bit of a shambles. We stayed 3 nights, so we had 2 breakfasts. Constantly had to ask staff for more cups, knives, bread, butter, etc. Food is not topped up quickly enough. It's just down to not enough attention paid to these things by restaurant staff, if this improved. it would be an excellent hotel . The hotel is not in the city centre, but good parking and good bus service into the city.

We always stay here because our son is at Herriot Watt, so it's ideal for everything bus route to city and ample car parking. I don't like the air con which recycles the air in the room and is difficult to get right, if only there was a window or vent to allow fresh air into the room. Also this time at breakfast noticed that there was only one coffee machine working, the other one went wrong last time we were there in January. This time the orange juice dispenser was not letting the orange flow, please please get these little things fixed 😊

No method to get fresh air into room. Only one coffee machine working. Orange juice dispenser not flowing freely. Extra cutlery required to butter bread. Baked beans needs a spoon with holes, so your plate isn't swimming in juice.

I stayed at this property to attend my MBA graduation. Had a wonderful time. The staff here are fantastic. Most friendly and helpful. Nice clean quiet room with a comfortable bed, surprisingly spacious bathroom and the rest of the property is bright and cheery and well appointed. Perfect location for anything at Heriot-Watt University.

Only one thing - the pillows are terrible. They are oversized, too big and fluffy. Had to use a folded towel instead. Please provide some pillows that are flatter, the big ones cause a terrible neck ache.

It was very well kept and the staff were all lovely. When I left back one of my items in their property, they very courteously messaged me letting me know of this. It gives me many a reasons to return at this property when I am back in Edinburgh again. I also really enjoyed the breakfast buffet - and am particularly a fan of Haggis thanks to the hotel and the kitchen staff.

I felt the sheets were quite rough and I couldn’t get proper sleep. The location was not too bad though it did cost us a £20 Uber ride back and forth. That said, the public transport system was accessible and we had no issues navigating to the hotel.

The staff were absolutely outstanding. I accidentally left my mobile phone in a taxi, and they went above and beyond to ensure I got it back. Rather than just making calls on my behalf, they actually managed to retrieve the phone and have it returned to the hotel—an incredible relief. To top it off, I had mistakenly booked the wrong night for my stay and arrived with no reservation for that evening. Once again, the staff were superb—calm, professional, and incredibly accommodating, helping me amend my booking seamlessly. I can’t emphasise enough how much stress they took off my shoulders. The rooms are stunning, a lot of space, and fantastic for workers with extremely good Wi-Fi. Beds were comfortable, and bathroom very nice. TV works full, and even has all the channels from Freeview you can also stream your music through the TV.

I could do with a few more facility such as a gym, coffee shop and shop. Yes, the universe is not 1,000,000 miles away, but you are a little bit cut off from the city and not a lot around.

The hotel was lovely and clean and warm. The staff were the best part of this whole experience especially one lady in particular working reception. They were very helpful regarding bus information.The wait staff were exceptional too. They facilitated any extra requests without hesitation and in a very timely manner. The rooms were gorgeous. The breakfast was lovely. A really great selection and everything was replaced within minutes if it was gone. I would stay here again.

The one thing is that the property is about 45 minutes from Edinburgh city centre but there is a bus stop outside the hotel and the bus number 34 and 25 take you into the city centre in 45 mins approx for 2 pounds.

Spacious and super quiet room, hotel overall felt very calming. Restaurant was quiet and didn’t feel awkward being by myself. Can also take meals to your room tho no room service. Able to use the gym without extra charge. Easy bus ride to the city centre. Next door to the parkrun on a Saturday morning. Nice to walk around the campus of the university- woodland trail.

Room took a while to warm up, as did the hot water in the shower. Easy to get the bus to / from town but felt a long way out. Not much else nearby, eg no shop / restaurant in walking distance.

the staff was super friendly and helpful, the place was clean well organised. overall it was a great experience.

the tv in the room says you can connect to internet / youtube from the tv or cast your own device to it however that is not possible. after a quick internet search i have found a reddit page with hundreds of people around the world (other courtyard by Marriott hotels) reporting the same issue for the past 5 years. i do not have the exact date for when this issue arised in Edinburgh but the staff also confirmed that this was a problem for quite some time. it is such a small issue but learning that this has been going for a really long time and the hotel trying to cover by saying things like we will send someone to check etc. (and not sending anyone) is the problem i have. they could have been more transparent with this problem.
