The leisure facilities are great - big swimming pool, a steam room and a sauna. Room was cosy and big enough. Multiple restaurants and bars across the property. The staff was very caring and polite. We came for a wedding anniversary and we got offered a free drinks. Thanks again! We ate at the brasserie and the food was good. Price are reasonable for Edinburgh. You can come by bus from city centre, making it a great staycation for a special weekend

The bar near the brasserie was very cold. Wonder if you could put more heaters on.

Lovely location and the original building is spectacular. Staff were friendly and helpful. Special mention to Neil who went the extra mile to help with stay and providing information.

The pool was very busy and so didn't use . No jacuzzi despite this being advertised. Few faults with room, extractor not working in bathroom, bulb not working, no sockets by beds and USB charger not working by bed.

Beautiful hotel and location, set in lovely woodlands, very well kept grounds with lovely walks .

We booked and were given a room in another wing away from the old main building which we were expecting to stay in , but we booked on booking.com so probably our fault. Id not say we dislike anything, this place is quality.

It's a lovely building in beautiful grounds. My elderly mother loved the traditional Scottish decor throughout the hotel, and the various communal lounge/seating area options were ideal for our group with two rooms. Our two dinners in the Pentland restaurant were both excellent, and brilliant personal service from the staff there. Special thanks to Hannah who was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good.

The rooms were a little tired and the bathrooms were dated. Paintwork peeling in areas. Beds were on the hard side. Extremely noisy at night, with other guests shouting in the corridors coming back from nights out. Also in the early mornings when leaving for golf etc. The doors to the rooms banged shut rather than just closing . Absolutely no customer service whatsoever from the management and reservations team, who were not interested in helping us with a situation beyond our control. Very disappointing and left a bad taste after what had been a mainly good stay.

Beautiful country club estate with truly well kept gardens and grounds. We had a lot of fun just exploring the grounds and playing a game of pitch and putt (free with clubs you can borrow - no guarantee of getting a putter though!) The staff were kind and respectful, willing to help with anything. The rooms were clean and tidy, and each had a portable fan to beat the July heat! There is a bus stop conveniently located just outside the main gates from where it is easy to catch a bus (runs every 15-20 min or so) to and from Edinburgh city center.

Breakfast was on the expensive side given it was quite standard fare. Not a lot of vegan options. The plug points were not very conveniently placed in the room so if you have a lot of electronics to charge, bring an extension cord.

The hotel is about 25 minutes by car from Edinburgh centre. It has a golf course (which we didn’t use) and beautiful surroundings. They put in quite a bit of effort to beautify the garden and outside area with flowers. There’s a little nature walk to a bird feeding station and beehives. Our children loved the large pool and outside playground. It’s a very family friendly hotel. The staff was friendly and polite and helped make our stay wonderful. The rooms are not in the old mansion pictured but in a building connected to the mansion. Overall we had a wonderful stay.

Staff as always were brilliant. Friendly and helpful throughout. Breakfast was good and the restaurant for dinner was excellent. Lovely tasty food well prepared and served. Room lovely and comfortable.

The only issue we had was we were in a room at the back of the hotel overlooking a garden. There was a bird in there with a couple of young ones (looked like oystercatchers) that made a lot of noise from very early in the morning and actually well after it turned dark. Meant we had disturbed sleep both nights. If anyone gets a room there might be worth checking if they're still there!

The rooms were big. The breakfast was good. The parking is very convenient The staff was friendly and the rooms were cleaned every day

The restarunt was not always available for room service. We would call and they would tell us they are busy and to call in an hour so we ended up using just ear. The room was very far to walk to and there was no way to get directly to our floor The rooms were old and there were not enough outlets to charge our phones and everything else we needed. The bathroom had mould in it (one that is not removed with cleaning)

The location of the hotel is amazing, it is sourended with beautiful greenery, lake, courts, 10 mins by car from city center, 10 mins by car from airport.

Hotel is very busy. In the room you can hear everything from all other rooms, talking, literaly each world, snoring, coughing, etc.... To have breakfast is like a quest, during 10 days of our stay we did not wait in the que once when we came for breakfast at 7 am, otherwise during all other 10 days when we came at 8 am we had to que for 20-40 mins, then 20 mins time to wait for eggs or porridge. You can not spend 1-1.5 hr for breakfast even on the holiday.

Myself and my dad booked into the Dalmahoy to see ACDC in Murrayfield. We initially weren't too fused on the accommodation, as it was only to see the concert. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble and every single staff member was friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent and the facilities were wonderful. Had we stayed anywhere else, our trip wouldn't have been anywhere near as amazing. On the day of departure, instead of leaving we decided to stay and use the facilities until we needed to leave for the airport. We had a large lunch and relaxed, instead of stressing ourselves out by going into Edinburgh to grab a tram to the airport. Thank you again to the whole team. I've told many people about how lovely this place was and now multiple people wish to visit.

Sometimes the breakfast service was a bit slow. Hotel information on the website wasn't overly clear.
