Location 10/10, Clean, Up scale, Premium and a very efficient staff. We had a 2 year old baby and they made sure the young guest is well taken care of. Provided a bath tub, perfect sized crib, amenities for the little baby and toys as well. Thank again for all the care. In-room food was amazing too even though not much items for late night menu which can be improved.

1. Arrival and Departure management is a mess, taxi's are lined up right outside the hotel and no place to park car to load and unload luggage. Staff is helpful but still it was not well managed. 2. Food options are minimal for this calibre of hotel. 3. Priced higher for the Value.

Amazing, amazing, amazing location! Can’t be beat in Edinburgh. Close to everything, shopping, eating, tourist attractions and the main train station. Really fancy hotel while keeping the place clean and comfy. Decided to extend our stay in the city and the hotel was one of the biggest reasons for that. They bring freshly baked cookies and milk for the children every night which was one of the highlights of our experience. They insist on making the bed every night. Will definitely come back and stay in this hotel. Spa was amazing as well. Swimming pool and facilities were great.

Front desk staff were great in the most part. There was an incident that I didn’t like how it was handled by front desk staff. They didn’t understand my request and done the opposite of what I’ve wanted. They proceeded to mishandle the situation further. Otherwise, overall staff were great.

It was a little disturbing that cleaning staff rings door bell at late night. I realised later on that in room bar drink charges were on my bill even though nobody touched anything and i was not given an oppotunity to check the bill before payment, that seemed a little bit unfair to me,,,

Friendly welcome, convenient valet parking, lovely room with a really comfy bed, excellent restaurant (I dined in the Bistro) with a good wine selection, great location for wandering round Edinburgh,

Nothing comes to mind - the visit was most enjoyable

All staff were helpful and pleasant and it was easy to use the valet parking.

It was a little expensive for a stay that did not include breakfast, plus one of the lamps didn't work which they were unable to fix.

Beautiful hotel central location. Great staff. Very clean room. Lovely little touch with chocolates and we were lucky to get some macaroons. Both these were delicious and much appreciated. We highly recommend a stay here as the hotel goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable

Turn down service was an added extra touch which was quite expensive and wasn’t really worth it but that was our choice. Maybe if we had been using the room all day it would have been appreciated. Also surprised that the hotel does not stock Coke Zero or Pepsi Max. Being diabetic these are the mixers I have to drink. Diet Coke/Pepsi are not agreeable with my stomach and I’m sure others are in same position. Other than that we love staying here and highly recommend it for a special treat.

the staff was exceedingly kind and helpful! You are absolutely paying for hospitality. Breakfast was good but a little pricey. The Whiskey bar has a great and knowledgable staff which was great for someone who doesn't drink whiskey.

We had a Deluxe room which was huge, very comfortable and great bathroom. Location was amazing, especially as im disabled, close to great shops and restaurants. Breakfast was served and buffet, lovely. Children aren't allowed in the bar but allowed around the corner in the same area. Dinner in the Brasserie was amazing, well worth a visit with lovely staff. All the staff were very friendly and polite!

Only complaint was if you sit near the bar during breakfast they fill the ice about 10.00am which is very noisy and not pleasant when eating breakfast. I did tell a staff member but I heard it the same the next 2 mornings, so obviously didnt take any notice of me!!
