This was our second time in the hotel and we wanted to bring our family visitors from Spain. We loved the breakfast, the quality is outstanding and the views too. The bar space in general is so lovely for an evening drink etc and feels cozy. The room was comfortable, clean, and the bed is just incredible. Hairdryer is one of the most powerful of any hotels. The location is unparalleled for visiting the old town.

We arrived late to the hotel and had lost our luggage - we were given toothbrushes however unfortunately they were unable to provide us with combs nor other amenities. As we arrived late we missed the welcome champagne and were never offered it. The towels were quite starchy and used which isn´t how I remember our first stay so perhaps time for an upgrade of those basic things.

Fantastically central, modern & chic. All the mod cons ie, Dyson hairdryer- GHD straighteners-easy to use coffee machine-AirPlay TV makes for minimal packing & most enjoyable stay! Complimentary champagne on arrival & again at breakfast was a lovely touch making us feel that little bit extra special during our weekend. All the staff were so pleasant, helpful, informative & accommodating. Nothing too much trouble. Particularly the restaurant team.

The attention to detail given to the room in terms of design, layout, detailing and facilities was exceptional. Contemporary but homely. Some great touches such as the complimentary bar and Tunnocks biscuits! Staff were enthused and it is clear that the company is a good employer. Special thanks to Miles and Peter for insights and a great representation of the hotel ethos / offering. Best city hotel we've ever stayed in.

The mattress was very thin and lumpy Just get proper inner spring please.

Loved the style of the hotel - very contemporary. The setting for the breakfast was exceptional (fabulous views), and the staff were lovely. The level of allergy awareness was excellent in that every morning we were asked at breakfast if anyone had an allergy (one of us had), so that was great.

Would have liked a member of staff to be in the entrance foyer at all times, as sometimes we didn't feel fully safe there (twice a member of the public - not staying in the hotel - followed us into the foyer. Nothing happened, but felt it would be better if there was a member of staff there. Sometimes a staff member was there during the day, but mostly was not, during our stay)

Honestly, one of my favorite hotel experiences I've ever had. The location was absolutely spot on. You could not get better in all of Edinburgh in my opinion. Everything was perfect. The staff took wonderful care of me. The concierge Peter was amazing. The room was gorgeous and modern. Up-to-date. Really loved it and I can be a bit of a room snob. The shower was a wonderful waterfall shower but they had other options as well if you're not into that. They supplied mini bar snacks for free and drinks, refilling them each day they even give you a Dyson hair dryer and a GHD hair straightener to use. 10 out of 10. I will absolutely be returning here.

Comfortable bed and sliding wooden window shutter keeping out light pollution.

Being treated like a leper for travelling with my 17 year old. I was offered a glass of champagne on arrival, great but when I asked.if my son could have a soft drink they were dismissive and said there were drinks in the room even though the Reception is next to the bar area. Also in the restaurant we were told we could only sit at certain tables, we felt so uncomfortable we didn't bother eating there in the evening. We were also placed on the first floor room 103 which had no view except the train station wall over the road, not what I had expected as the views were stunning from the 7th floor Reception.

First, the location was perfect for our stays. We used the trains several times and loved that our walk to the station was less than 3 minutes. Second, the rooms (we had 2 different rooms) were quiet and dark (which we have at home and love); third, the rooftop bar/breakfast area was extraordinary! Fourth, the thoughtfulness in the design of the rooms did not go unnoticed - reading lights bedside, charging areas next to bedside, the solid wood door that slides to block daylight, the complimentary refreshments in the drawer, the hair dryer and straightening iron, robes and slippers. Lastly, it's a testament to the bedding and linens - my husband and I slept great, and that never happens at a hotel. We loved our stay!

Breakfast was excellent but please let customer eat or order more to fill up the day. Don’t restrict to only one plate or order from menu. First time in my 30 yrs experience in breakfast including stay with restricted meals. Very very disappointed

Hotel was booked for a surprise for my wife and what a surprise it was incredible hotel location opposite Waverley train station and access to royal mile 5 minute walk bars restaurants and shops all close. Breakfast at the hotel superb , staff , cleaners, chefs all superb. Welcomed by angel at reception with a glass of champagne and champagne served with breakfast all part of package , room had a free bar in fridge which is replaced daily along with snacks , dyson hair appliances for the wife ,and dressing gown and slippers also. This hotel was fantastic don’t hesitate to book 👍.
