The hotel could not be located any better (being two steps away from Radisson says something). The room was clean and spacious. There was a kettle, cups, plug with usb options for those of us traveling without an adapter. The staff would give you a £5 voucher to use in their bar if you skip the room cleaning that day. The breakfast was simple, but hot and hearty (beans, sausages, scrambled eggs, mushrooms +normal continental options). The staff was very nice and provided me with oil heater radiator for the time of my stay. Oh, the views were amazing even though my room is supposedly a view to the inner yard, but being on the top floor just gets you doomed for fantastic views!

There was no fridge in the room, no spoon, the bathroom did not provide the wash cloth towel. The built in heater/cooler would not turn on according to the outside temperature (was supposed to heat if it’s below 20 degrees outside).

The location was excellent! The staff were very nice and the hotel itself was very nice too. We were close to everything and walked to the Edinburgh castle, restaurants and shops. We also did the hop-on-hop-off bus tour so we saw a lot of the city. Had delicious pizza at Bella Italia, very close to the hotel. Found a great bar, The Scotsman's Lounge, also very close to the hotel. They had local, live music which was wonderful. We closed the place down one night! We did not eat at the hotel so I cannot comment on the food.

Parking was not great. We had to park pretty far away and walk back. They offer a discount voucher for the parking but it did not work. Everything else was fine.

Bang in the centre of Royal Mile! Our room was on 6th floor, I asked for quiet and off the front and it was exactly as asked. Lovely decor and had everything we required. Had breakfast on the last day and it was a real treat. So much choice and plenty of it.

I cannot think of anything within the control of the hotel. A couple of unruly guests banging doors late one night but that was it.

Clean, well-located hotel in the centre of Edinburgh. Room was small, but spotless and the beds were very comfortable. Good pressure shower and instant hot water.

On one of the hottest days of the year, the air-con didn't cool. The fan provided did work, but clearly not quite the same as air-con. The room was definitely on the "cosy" i.e. small side. Tea and coffee were provided, but were minimal. At £290/night (room only) it felt expensive for what it was. Transport around Edinburgh proved good, so next time we would probably stay further out for better value.

Excellent location half-way along the Royal Mile and on the main road from Waverley Train Station. Decent breakfast with fruit, yogurt, cold meats and cheese, 6+ cereals, Pancakes, sausage, bacon and other hot food, toast and pastries. Bed was comfy and room had facilities we needed. Staff very friendly.

We had room 001 conveniently located on entrance floor just near breakfast. Room was warm/stuffy, even at end of March with the window open. Having the window open meant you could hear the students/party-goers throughout the night... but this is the same in many big cities.

I booked 2 rooms 1st for my friends for 3 nights for 2 ppl they paid 220 eu altogether. I was 1 night with my son we paid 180 eu .bit dear .check in 3pm is a bit late, tbh and they aren't flexible at all. It would be nice to say to ppl that when you arrive early, maybe you can get in earlier if any room is ready .the window was open when we arrived in the room . The tv remote control is no battery .. we get room on the 3rd floor only you can use 1 elevetar .taking ages. And our room was like around the building like a labyrinth. In the room we had not much selection of tea .would be nice more milk in the room

The location was excellent at the bottom of the royal mile only 15 minutes from the train station all the local attractions restaurants shops etc were minutes away the hotel was lovely we were greeted by friendly staff and were able to have an early check in which was a bonus our room was on the 4th floor but there was two lifts to use our room was quite small but it was clean and tidy the bed was very comfortable the bathroom was also quite small with a shower no bath but we had everything we needed the room was very warm we paid for Breakfast which was a help yourself buffet there was pleanty choice hot and cold items avaliable overall we enjoyed our stay and its was great value for money compared to other hotels in the area the staff were very helpful and friendly would definitely recommend and will use this hotel on our next stay in Edinburgh

The bathroom was very small but it served our needs

The location was perfect, welcomed by backpipe players on the Royal Mile and everything I wanted to see and do was in walking distance (5 to 30 minutes). I couldn't sleep with my window open because of a lot of people yelling and singing at night, but as soon I closed the window it was completely silent, that was a relief. Breakfast was good, scrambled eggs, sausage, beans, bacon, (chocolate) croissants, baquette and bread to make toast, some cereal and yogurt and fruit. Personnel was very kind, ready to help with a smile on their face. The bed was comfy and the bathroom had everything I needed (bodywash, shampoo, hairdryer). Also a big enough bathroom to freshen up downstairs (once you've checked out and roam the city again) with complimentary tampons and pads (very thoughtful Ibis, nice job) if needed. Would love to stay at this hotel again.

Boiled eggs, fresh juice, ovenbaked buns and some tomatoes and chives would've been a nice addition to the breakfast buffet. Nothing else to add here.

Location was excellent for exploring Royal MIle, Edinburgh Castle and meeting places for tours outside of the city. The staff was very friendly and accomodating in providing fan for the room. The facilities were very clean. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of selections to choose from to eat.

Our first stay was on the Hunter Square side and was very noisy. Our second stay was in an interior room and was quiet. With both stays, however our rooms were warm even though it was only in 60s outside. Rooms don't have airconditioners. Fans helped.
