Loved the location everything was in walking distance and a large range of shops nearby, staff was super friendly and helped us store our luggage. Room was also spacious and had shelves and closet for clothes.

Our sink was clogged(3 nights) our entire stay and when asked if they could fix it they didn't. So we had no working sink.

Location was perfect! Also the bed was very comfortable, we had very good night sleep after a long journey (it is very rare for us to have good sleep in hotels). Room was clean and well equipped. Staff was nice and very helpful. Price was great for the room we got. If we will visit Edinburgh again,we would definitely choose Ibis again.:)

There was only a small electric heater in the room, which was insufficient after a long wet and windy day. But since we were in Edinburgh only for the weekend, it was bearable.

The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the Waverley train station and the university. It's in a nice neighborhood with plenty of options for food. It was very easy to walk around the city from here. The hotel was quiet although very busy. The staff was lovely and very helpful. We had a double room with two twin beds and plenty of space to move around and store our luggage. The bathroom and shower were a nice size. There was a counter top running under the window across the width of the room which provided more space for our toiletries, etc. The room seemed a good value for the location in mid-July.

the location is absolutely prime. a great base for exploring Edinburgh!

a few problems. there is no aircondition in the room - apparently it is a new wing and is not yet connected to the system. this is a bit of a problem, because you can only warm up with a small electric radiator - there is no option to open the window. you only get a large bath towel - a small one for your face, or not. you also do not get water in the room - you can fill a bottle in the tap, but it would be nice if water was waiting for you in the room. the rooms are small and you can rather hear everything from other parts of the hotel. but it is a good hotel for its price and a great location (remember you cannot park your car there - there is no such option!!!)

Whenever I travel abroad, Ibis is always the first place that comes to mind for reservations. Ibis South Bridge, however, was amazing. It was clean, the staff was friendly, the location was perfect, and the hotel felt very safe. I especially want to thank Olga and Aikaterini. Olga was extremely helpful on my last evening, providing a lot of assistance regarding how I would get to my next destination the following day. She was very caring. Aikaterini (merhaba komşi🇬🇷🇹🇷 😊) always greeted me with a smile during breakfast and took great care of me. The entire staff was friendly and attentive, but I wanted to give special thanks to these two. If you’re going to Edinburgh, this is definitely the place to stay. You don’t need to think about any other options 😊 Thank you for everything!

Centrally located just of the Royal Mile. After reading multiple reviews about noise and the rooms being so hot, i was scared! But i still went ahead and booked, and i am so happy that we did. Check in went smooth, the receptionist was very nice and told us that they are upgrading the air conditioning therefore, weren’t able to use it, however we had a portable heater which we could use - we didn’t the room was warm enough. As for the noise, this didn’t bother us at all. Thought it was going to be worse, but good earplugs will completely block any sounds. Some noise is expected to be honest if you’re staying in such a central area. I would suggest good ear plugs though . The room was quite nice, it wasn’t small, comfortably sized bathroom and clean towels daily. Kettle and coffee/tea provided and refilled daily. I liked this hotel. Staff throughout the stay were very nice and helpful.

The hotel is extremly well placed if you want to explore the city: you can walk from / to the train station, go up and down the royal mile (and head to the castle), and you're also from a short walking distance of Victoria Street & Grassmarket, or even Rose Street. It's very convenient. The bedroom is spacious and clean. The staff is also really nice, and the breakfast proposes a nice range of options and time.

There was only 1 electric plug in the whole bedroom, located in the least accessible corner, so this wasn't ideal to function (dry my hair, steam my clothes, charge my phone, use the additional heater etc). The bathroom was a bit noisy (toilets were regularly flooding and I could hear some pipe noises even when not at use) which was not unbearable but a bit of a shame

Absolutely perfect location, walking distance to all the main spots and landmarks. Hotel is located on a busy street with lots of shops and restaurants - tho we didn't hear a thing at night. Breakfast - many choices and great quality. Room was clean and had everything we needed.

Friday night was awful - I'm not sure if it was people next door or some club/bar, but we couldn't sleep till 2am due to loud music and people, who didn't care that they weren't the only ones at the hotel. The hotel has paper walls and we could hear everything that night.

The location was excellent!! The staff were very friendly and really helpful. My room was adequate for me as a solo traveller, would have been a bit small for a couple.

My room was on the street side of the property and my stay included a Friday & Saturday night. I was kept awake by the noisy boy racers and the loud voices of the intoxicated people on both those nights. The curtains in the room were thin and had cracks in the lining so weren’t effective at addressing this issue. Replacing the curtains with heavier blackout curtains would help.
