The location couldn’t be better-right on South Bridge with great bus connections on the door step, two grocery stores, a plethora of food options, the Royal Mile and a book store within 100 meters. The one bedroom apartment is well-laid out compact- don’t try to put more than 3 people in it. Spacious bathroom. The kitchen has stove top, microwave and fridge, a few basic pots and pans sufficient for cooking breakfast or reheating food.

It could use a toaster. There was dust on the stove hood and microwave though it did look like it had been wiped recently and I noticed the dust seemed to collect quickly. Due to the location there is a lot of street noise though ear plugs are provided. Noise was worse in the bedroom than in the living room. Not the property owners’ fault by any means, but the bus stop in front of the door meant that nearly every time we entered the building, we had to ask people to step aside. Your access code expires punctually at 10:00 am on the day of check out so be sure you have all your stuff out before 10:00. The door handle slipped out of our grip as we were exiting, and our gear was still inside but we got the cleaning lady next door to give us access.

It is located in the center of the old city just few steps from the Royal mile, a perfect location for the sightseeing and the train station. Also supermarkets and restaurants around. The building is safe with the code system. Clean and lovely apartment and fully equipped kitchen. Our apartment was so quiet. I highly recommend this place.

Lack of staff, we faced a problem on first arrival as after paying online for two lockers downstairs to store luggage before check in time we found one locker to be used. We tried to communicate through phone or mail but we couldn’t. Also, a shelf in the bathroom would be great to put eyeglasses on it.

Location was excellent- in middle of Old Towne and close to sites to see and many restaurants. One bedroom was comfortable and a good size. Common area (sitting room and kitchen) was a comfortable size and kitchen had the basics that were needed. We didn't cook any meals. Coffee and tea were provided. The apartment was modern and nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable and the sheets and towels a nice quality.

One bedroom was small with very sloped ceiling that made it hard to reach shelf and closet. Bathroom was tiny and the shower grout had a lot of discoloration from mold. Apartment was up on 4th floor with a narrow winding staircase and no elevator. Noise didn't bother me because I have poor hearing. My sister had the other bedroom and she was woken up multiple times by people screaming in the street below.

I was thrilled when I discovered we were above the famous Edinburgh Vaults we had toured earlier. There was even an old illustration of the location framed on the wall. There were cool views from the windows, and it was great to have a kitchen.

As in every other Scottish hotel/apartment where we stayed, the only covering on the bed was a thick duvet. That made some of us wake up in the middle of the night feeling too hot. Yet, when we threw off the duvet, we were too cold. I wish they had a light blanket for the warm-blooded, so we could sleep through the night.

It was a first for us to stay in a hotel where there are no concierge and communication was through email in booking.com. It was conveniently located near the bus station, convenience stores and restaurants. The place was clean, warm, complete basic kitchen and tv.

At first we were confused why there were ear plugs provided in our room. Turns out, there is a karaoke room near our bedroom window. We stayed over the weekend and we can hear what customers were belting out at 2am. Also, we rented one of the lockers which unfortunately did not unlock to open. We reached-out to the number provided in the instructions and from the email thread in booking.com but no reply. It was the prepaid locked located at the entrance of the property.

Such a beautiful apartment, ideally located, and thoughtfully equipped! It exceeded my expectations in almost every regard. The bed and pillows were amazingly comfy. The real-wood floors, doors and furniture were exquisite! And the corner location with windows to two sides and a view upon the mountains as well as the buzzing street are a genuine treat. I will come back for sure!

The large, old windows are beautiful, but they do not insulate much against the cold, nor the noises from the street. Thankfully, the heating works very well and earplugs are provided.

The check-in procedure was easy and well explained. The apartment was nice. There are enough appliances. It was clean.

We had problem with the hot water in the shower - it was very hard to regulate the temperature - it went from cold to very hot. We explained that to the host and maybe it will be fixed. The other thing that we did not like is the noise from the outside - the apartment is located in the centre and there are a lot of noisy drunk people outside during the night (that is not the host's fault). Other than that we had a nice stay.

Very central. Flat was a bit small, but big enough for the purpose and quite clean. Cutleries, Dishes and soap & shampoo were provided. We had no problem with noise, but we had the windows closed throughout and few people were partying.

We had no problem, but the lack of an elevator would be an issue for anyone who’s not very mobile. I was also a bit confused where to find the bedsheets for the couch (they were inside the couch) so a little note about that would have been nice so J need to think less. The bathroom was quite narrow, but big enough for the purpose. The table was a bit small - a second table or a larger one would have been nice.

Perfect location - exactly in front of a bus stop which is very convenient when exploring Edinburgh. A short walk from The Royal Mile. Close to numerous restaurants. Amazing staff (virtual assistance) - the property is staff less but the communication has exceeded expectations. Super quick replies and very accommodating with requests.

Shower drainage was faulty so the shower reservoir got filled up very easily. The street can be a bit noisy overnight but earplugs are provided (Windows are glazed and minimize the noise when shut)
