Excellent choices, plentiful, fresh food. Staff were helpful and polite .space was adequate.For the price , location and quality of food I don’t think it needs improvement.

Except certain sinks and bathroom spaces not being 100% clean (could be from other travellers), the hostel was clean. The staff at reception were really nice, the only one being kinda rude was one women at the breakfast who seemed annoyed that you didn't know where everything was. Otherwise was pretty nice, I would recommend.

The bed weren't really comfortable, but it's fine for a hostel. The thing I really didn't like was the pillow, it felt like it was just a 10 cm rock. There isn't really a place to sit down, like there are a couple of tables at reception and a big counter in a room upstairs, but there's definitely not enough sitting spots and places to hang out, especially when traveling alone.

The hostel was amazing! The room was very organised, with clean bed linen, curtains for every bed and also with a locker under the beds. I had a great time there, everything was all cleaned up and I was happy with the water filter, it saved me money from buying water bottles for my stay! The staff was very receptive, they helped me even to vacuum my clothe's bag. It was an amazing first solo trip experience!

The curtains of my bed didn't close all the way up, it stopped right at the stairs to the upstairs bed. It was a bit uncomfortable especially when the lights of the room were on and whenever someone left or entered the room.

The proximity to Waverley station was the best part of this hostel. It's very central and close to a lot of places of interest. There were also many restaurants and pubs nearby to choose from. The beds are comfortable enough. They have laundry service onsite. Just buy pods from the reception and you can use their washing machines. Reception is open 24hrs.

The rooms can get stuffy. Also, for the number of beds, the showers and toilets are limited and can get dirty quickly. I know they clean them routinely, but there's not enough for all the rooms. Also, the walls are paper thin that you can easily hear conversations from outside the room.

The location is very central, facilities are quite accommodating, rooms were clean, beds were comfy, storage underneath (bring a padlock), toilets and showers are communal and there are plenty and quite clean too. Several sinks and hair dryers too if needed. A pub downstairs if you need food and drink with 25% off. Staff were nice and friendly. Place is nearby all important central locations in Edinburgh. And the value was impressive. So, nothing to moan about really.

The door in my room (B24) was making massive noise when shut unless you physically hold till it fully shuts. That would make an unnecessary noise especially late at night. Please fix this issue.

I liked the kindness of the member off staff who helped me with my bag. and they assigned me with a lower bunk these things means alot to me. Great view from the window and beautiful clean towels and bedding great value for money. across the road for entertainment and breakfast very good.

The confusion of getting in as l had thought it was upstairs on Craigs Close until the taxi driver came and put me in the right direction. Plus it was across the street from the main building up the stairs and if you wanted something at reception it just seemed a long way for me personally. But great as soon as you knew the layout. Would still go again.

The location is really perfect and the infrastructure is spectacular. I have stayed in hostels in other countries and I know that this is one of the best, comfortable bed, clean bathroom with great water, waiting area, cafeteria and pub open to the public, area to leave luggage free of charge, clean bed linen. It was a good stay, I will certainly recommend it to others.

I had an air conditioner in my room, B10, which was dripping water during the night, I woke up with the floor all wet. There could be better conditions for the genius public, like a discount on breakfast.

The price, location and facilities were great. Option to pay for a 24 locker and n the locker room is excellent - very good electronic system for this.

A little noisy but that is to be expected and was not excessive. I arrived to my room - little after 9pm and some folk were already asleep so it was dark in the room. I was allocated a top bunk and it was a little tricky to identify the local able space as the lower bunk was occupied and the curtain drawn. Not wanting to disturb the other person I just kept my laptop with me in the bed! I would have put this into a locker room locker but the site is split on two sides of the road so I didn’t want to have to return at that point.

The showers and toilets were private cubicles, which offered great privacy, and everything was exceptionally clean. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, and the rooms were perfectly heated—cozy without being too warm. The other guests in the shared room were considerate and quiet, creating a calm and respectful atmosphere. The hostel’s location was absolutely perfect! It was close to everything we needed, and the restaurant next door had an amazing vibe. We also enjoyed the breakfast—it was great value for what we paid. The staff were fantastic—friendly, helpful, and always available. Having a 24/7 reception was a huge plus, especially since we had to check out at 4 a.m. to catch our flight. Additionally, the nearby bus stop, which also ran 24/7, made it super convenient to get to the airport. Overall, everything about our stay exceeded expectations, and I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting the area.

Very central to everywhere. Reception staff were pleasant & helpful. Bar staff at Belushi's seemed a little rushed off their feet but, still polite. Breakfast was okay although, didn't see any croissants/pastries like there was on the advertising? However, £5 per booked, can eat what you want between 7-10am which is good to fuel up before hiking & exploring. Cafe staff also nice & polite. Also ensure you sign up for hostel events to get the opportunity to meet other guests if solo travelling. The cheese & wine night was enjoyable & I met new friends from all over the world.

With most hostels, the big light is going to come on in room, the door is going to open & close, ladders climbed, burps, farts & whispers....smelly boots & trainers. Curtain being drawn, lockers opening & closing. However, sleep in that environment, this is the norm in the dorm. To be expected. The room & corridors were clean. Sheets were clean. And everyone was respectful. Only thing I noticed was under the bunks were quite dusty (floor). Not a complaint, more constructive criticism. Something I'm sure they'll easily fix.
