Perfectly located to visit the historic quarter of Salvador. The staff was nice especially the younger guy working at the desk who helped us a lot. However, it did not seem like the room had been cleaned at all and the bed sheets washed. There were old beer cans under our bed (in a private room) and a cockroach in the bathroom. The breakfast is good and the view from our room was great. Overall it is a convenient place to stay at.

I like that the Pousada location is very central, so you are really in the heart of Pelourinho. The rooms was very huge with street view (during the day it was very nice :-)). The pousada stuff was very helpful, which I apprecited. The breakfast was also very nice, a lot of to choose from and in general good price for the stay! Recommended :-).

The only small disadvantage are the stairs to the rooms (first and second floor), but it is a part of identity and old building of pousada.

I had a great room with an incredible view over the bay, a comfortable bed, hot shower, fridge... Keeping in mind this a pousada/hostel, not a hotel (the standards are different), the room I had would greatly satisfy any traveler. Friendly people, don’t speak english, but hey, this ain’t a Holiday Inn in Miami. And there’s a nice, very placid dog too. And what about location, you ask? Well, it’s as central as you can get in the Old Town.

Very steep stairs could be a problem for some people (older, overweight, with young children, etc.) past 1 floor up.

The staff were very helpful. Ramos spoke good English & gave me lots of useful information & cultural knowledge. The view of the bay and islands from my 3rd story window was exceptional. The location is perfect

less than $100/day. The staff was very helpful and friendly. the room had a great view of the bay. The ceiling fan worked well. The breakfast was sufficient to start the day. excellent location!

no soap or hot water in shower. only ceiling light (which i hate) and no lamp. wifi was shakey.
