We stayed there for 3 days and the entire stay was amazing. The location is really good, just 3 kms from City centre. The property is quite spacious and rooms were quite spaced out, so we had maximum privacy. Property was quite green with lot of tree plantation. Staff was really courteous and helpful. They made our stay even more amazing. We had all the meals in the house and we loved every single dish that was served to us. Menu had enough options to allow us to keep experimenting for 3 days. The view of the munnar hills from the property was brilliant. There were lot of song birds around, clouds were ever present and many a times they covered the property too. Overall a very good and relaxing stay in the gem of this place. Property managers were also really nice and very informative.

A little bit of luxury in the hills. Can’t fault the hotel, the staff, the attention to detail and the views. Everything is catered for you and your happiness and comfort is every staff members priority. The restaurant was great and even though part of the complex (and at night you are somewhat stuck there as driving out not a good idea as unsafe to drive in rainy season) it was not overly expensive. Great breakfast choice too. Amazing wildlife and birds all around.

The weather was not brilliant as rainy season so a lot of rain which made venturing out of the hotel difficult. When the mist and rain clouds lifted truly stunning. For some reason we (and other guests) assumed the pool was individual to each villa but it’s not it’s one shared infinity pool for all.

I loved the entire stay, it was very lovely. Staff were very helpful and very friendly. The spa was very relaxing as well as soothing. Views were amazing and I felt very peaceful. There was a bonfire, yoga class as well as a tea testing organised by the resort. The restaurant Hornbill has amazing food as well as an amazing view. Even the room was very clean and it looks very fancy. Everything was maintained perfectly. Everywhere you go from the resort, you find amazing hiking routes. The resort even arranges cab if you need it. I loved my stay, it was amazing.

Honestly nothing to complain about!

The resort is small and has a private vibe. You don't feel that there are other guests around you and everything is very quiet and nice and in the middle of nature. The staff is absolutely wonderful, they make you feel at home without ever overdoing it. The resort restaurant where we had all our meals is just next door and is wonderful - the food we had there was among the best on our 11-day Kerala trip. This turned out to be a great thing since we didn't go around for too long at a time so having a great restaurant just next door solved all our food planning for 3 days there - so no need to take a taxi or tuktuk to town if you don't feel like it. We also took an organised private hike tour with a guide that the hotel provided, and that was definitely the highlight of our trip - our guide was the most wonderful person, helpful, nice, explained everything we did on our 2-3h tour of the neighbouring tea fields. We would definitely return there.

They have designated a Fossil fuel free zone, and are committed to green management principles. Excellent staff was always available, promptly served our needs, were helpful, informative and friendly. We were treated above and beyond. Natural environment is well preserved. Local Flora and fauna are treated with care and respect.beautiful views of valley and forest from property and room balcony. Delightful Bird songs pretty much at all times are heard throughout campus. Excellent, relaxing and refreshing spa, highly educational tea tasting session and cooking demonstration by Chef were on site activities that we participated in and all of these enhanced the stay and made it memorable.

Pillows were too hard and not comfortable. Could enhance comfort by changing pillows to higher quality. Dining room experience was not A+ as there were some minor mistakes made. Food tasted good but menu was somewhat limited and could use a fresh look to update.. Would also recommend provision of disposable biodegradable cutlery (such as a wooden knife and spork) in room to properly eat fruits provided in welcome basket.

We upgraded to a valley view room and it was well worth the money. What a view! And the bonus of a treetop right outside our balcony that attracted monkeys, giant squirrels and a multitude of brightly coloured birds. Birdsong soundtracked each day. The restaurant was great and well priced - we felt no need to eat elsewhere for our 3 night stay - and the activities were well thought through and enjoyable. We participated in the free morning yoga and tea tasting (the latter hosted by the wonderfully enthusiastic and knowledgeable Arun). My wife loved her hour and a half Ayurvedic massage (paid) and I the morning hike into the mountains (also paid, also with Arun). One thing to be aware of though if you plan to visit soon. They are in the process of building a pool. Tranquil bliss and birdsong are not compatible with electric tools and heavy building work. We complained so vigorously that they suspended the work for the duration of our stay, but it started again the morning we left. Check if it’s ongoing before booking would be our advice. Otherwise, book it, it’s wonderful.

From the moment we arrived everyone at BlackBerry Hills made us feel so welcome. Our room had the perfect view of the forest and we were thrilled to see the giant Indian squirrel and so many amazing birds. It was a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Munnar. The hotel also organised a lovely gentle walk around the tea plantations with an amazing guide who taught us about the history of tea and how it’s made. We also really enjoyed the food in the restaurant and the lovely view. They are just building a pool which will be finished this week which will add to the beauty of the main area.

Our garden view room was a little damp but that’s to be expected with the climate.

Beautiful , eco friendly hotel with breathtaking views, the room were very comfortable with nice balconies , the staff are really sweet, kind and attentive. The breakfast was excellent with so many vegan options. Yoga in the morning was a nice addition. Unfortunately the free hike from the property is currently closed, but they offer guided hikes around the area, we booked the sunrise one which was really nice. All in all, we would love to come back sometime and stay longer :)

For the dinner menu it would be great to clearly mark allergens, as some dishes that were mentioned to be vegan ended up including ghee and dairy. I am sure this can be easily solved.

We had the best possible experience in our stay in this wonderful place. The peace conveyed by the environment, the food, the facilities... everything is absolutely perfect. But without a doubt, what captivated us most was the professionalism and attention of all the people who work there. They are all so attentive and kind. We must highlight the role of Brinto, who made us feel at home from the first moment. Brinto is an excellent leader and a better person, more than a worker we found a friend who gave everything he could at all times so that we had the best possible experience. Thanks Brinto. We will return and recommend all our friends to visit this beautiful place :)

Everything was perfect

We loved our stay here. Lovely resort away from the bustle of munnar town but only a ten min tuk tuk ride away. The rooms were lovely, nice comfy large bed, and good shower . The staff were all very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble . We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was excellent . We were there for New Year’s Eve and they put on a lovely banquet and live music. We enjoyed the tea tasting and a morning yoga session. Make sure you ask about the Shola Tour, which is just an hour’s hike around the local area, got to see the tea pickers working and amazing views. I loved the fact they are trying hard to be eco so they don’t give you plastic water bottles and the lovely herbal shampoo and body toner were provided in small earthenware pots , not plastic. So refreshing! Don’t hesitate it’s a great place to stay!
