Villa Agnese is a jewel. It is located in a quiet part of Sestri, about a 5-minute drive from the center and the beach. Summer parking along the Riviera is always difficult, so we used the free bikes available at the hotel to get to the town/beach. It’s only a 10-minute ride using the bike path. There is plenty of free, covered parking in the resort. The hotel is extremely well kept. The rooms are spacious, modern and very quiet. The AC works well, and the large windows allow for plenty of natural light and fresh air. The bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is modern. There is a very nice pool in the courtyard and plenty of outdoor sitting space to enjoy breakfast or aperitivo. The breakfast buffet is amazing. There are plenty of high-quality options to meet all needs. The hotel staff is amazing. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help with any requests. We had a great holiday at Villa Agnese and hope to be back soon!

As the taxi takes you from the train station to Villa you can be forgiven for being slightly concerned about where you are ending up, but as you turn in the gates, you arrive at a little oasis. Villa Agnese exudes a calm tranquility and you are greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. We had booked a three day stay, planning to use it as a base to explore the area, but, once we’d swum in the pool and read and snoozed on the sunbeds, we decided we’d rather stay put and make the most of Villa Agnese. The breakfast was by far the best we had while interrailing around Northern Italy, with a vast array of food on offer. The room was beautiful, opening on to the solarium and direct access to the pool. We ate delicious pizzas in a local restaurant and bought provisions in a handy shop 10 minutes walk away. There are bikes to borrow to take you into town but we were too lazy! We caught the free shuttle bus to the station from just up the road when we sadly had to leave Villa Agnese and continue our travels. Enjoy it, I’d go back in a heart beat!

Villa Agnese gives off a tranquil, restful, almost ‘adults only’ vibe but this can be shattered by small children enjoying the facilities! After a close shave with a heavy pool toy being flung across the water by an excited child while his sister bombed in, splashing all those trying to relax around the pool, it was safer to move sunbeds further away and take cover until the all clear was sounded! It is not somewhere I would take my own children, mainly for the sake of other guests but also, apart from the pool, there are no other facilities for entertaining small children.

Ingles, Español, Italino: Todo espectalular, Tutto spettacolare Everything was spectacular. Many good things to highlight: daily cleaning with new towels, perfumed scent, vacuumed floors, etc. What caught our attention was the detail of the candles lit at night in the courtyard, giving the place a very romantic touch, also showing the concern to create a first-class environment. Villa Agnese also has the detail of ambient music even in the courtyard, at breakfast, which we appreciated a lot as other places don't have that detail. The 24-hour attention is worth noting, with very friendly staff always helping. The garage is excellent, spacious, and secure, and furthermore, the entire premises are enclosed, top-notch security, something very important since we rented a car. Everything very well maintained, courtyard, nature, room, with places to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. The room perfectly painted and arranged with pleasant colors, with three curtains to cover the light and also to give an elegant touch to the windows. The initials of V.A in various parts and the name even on the napkins we liked a lot. The bathroom is large, perfectly equipped, good mirrors, very good shower, hot water, everything working perfectly. Good temperature and air in the room. Excellent breakfast with plenty to choose from and first-class service. Clean pool, crystal-clear water. The owners are very friendly, who also have the detail of giving a gift to their customers at the time of check-out, a detail that we hadn't seen before even though we've stayed in many hotels. If we return to northern Italy, we will definitely return to Villa Agnese, we recommend it wholeheartedly. Honestly, we can't find anything negative, quite the opposite, on a scale of 10 we give it a 20 :). Minutes away from the city center by car and on foot. Quiet place, excellent

Villa Agnese is an absolute dream. I could not recommend this place more. It’s a little slice of heaven, with Tuscan vibes. On our way there we did’t think much of it - until the gate opened and wow! Countryside / agriturismo style - exceptionally beautiful and charismatic. Rooms are charming and spacious, clean and perfectly curated. Jokingly, I told my husband that this place is so obviously managed by women! The attention for details, wonderful scent everywhere, cleanliness, beauty .. just wow. No 5 stars hotel in the area beats this.

Amazing breakfast and all of the staff were so accommodating nothing too much trouble !! The free bike hire was also amazing and something we wished we made more time for!

The only thing for my husband was an uncomfortable bed far too firm so not a comfortable nights sleep.. feel terrible saying but the truth in our case 😕… but seriously everything else ten out of ten with cleanliness scoring an eleven!!

The hotel is nicely decorated with large rooms and bathrooms. The breakfast room has views to the pool and patios. Breakfast was delicious and you could order freshly made eggs at extra cost. Service was impeccable and kind. The location in Sestri Levante was very convenient to visit Cinque Terre and the town is very pretty and not so touristy.

Although not a problem when you have a car, the hotel is not located at walking distance to downtown and the train station. The surrounding area is a little industrial.

Great place and very easy access to Cinque Terre region. The property is very well maintained and the staff and owners are very nice, gentle and helpful with recommendations on dinner places and activities. The breakfast is superb and copious and served in the garden around the pool, making it an enjoyable way to start your day! We will come back again for sure!

This hotel is a real gem. It's away from the touristy area and the rooms, pool and garden are lovely. Great to have free bike hire for cycling to the beaches (would really recommend this if you don't have a car). Very nice breakfast that changes a bit each day. The real magic was the staff though, they were all wonderful. Especially Massimo on the bar and Francesca on reception made us feel so welcome and looked after, and this really made our trip special. Highly recommend!

We liked everything! As above, the location is away from the centre, but this was very clear when booking and we really liked being away from the main tourist bit. Some nice local restaurants, and an easy cycle to beaches.

This is one of those hotels that does its job really really well, working like a well oiled machine. The hotel is located just at the outskirts of the town in a gated area, not too far from the motorway exit. Everything in the hotel is immaculately clean. In fact I could smell soap everywhere. Not detergent, just a nice familiar smell of soap, just a smell of cleanliness. The room was spacious, all equipment well kept, clean, neat and fully operational. Same goes for the facilities around the hotel. They've done such a great job landscaping the hotel, planting trees, shaded areas for the car parks, the pool. Really really well done. They've just done what they could with the hotel and executed it very well. The breakfast was nice and fresh, offering a wide selections of cakes, fruits, some cheeses, breads etc. But I really want to call out the staff who was so friendly and attentive. In particular the gentleman at the bar! Honestly the people working there really make the place complete, they are lovely and natural with the guests but we also glimpsed on occasion them interacting with each other and just seemed so well jelled together. The staff helped us a lot with finding a way around, and recommended a number of places to eat and what to do. They asked about our plans. We really liked interacting with them. These things really make a difference. I wish this hotel all success, it really deserves it!

The filtered coffee that's there at the breakfast buffet could be better, but the cappuccinos that you can request on demand were lovely :)
