We have enjoyed staying at The Pacific Blue Inn 4 times now. The property has maintained its fresh appearance, the rooms and public areas are clean and well maintained. The staff is exemplary! Thank you Calvin for inviting us to check in early as we arrived in town a bit before check in hours.

Not a thing I can complain about!

Fantastic location - super easy walk to transition for the Santa Cruz half Ironman, boardwalk, beach, etc. Compared to other Santa Cruz hotels, this place is amazing. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, nice updated, plus there are delicious afternoon snacks!

It was really noisy our second night but that was probably more the fault of other guests, the apartments next door, and the live music down the street.

The location is excellent! Only a few short blocks from the major shopping and restaurant district of Santa Cruz, and really close to other attractions like the Boardwalk. I stay in a LOT of hotels and amenities are everything to me. It's the little things that create comfort and value. There was a "help yourself" expresso machine that made Americanos, Lattes, Cappuccinos, etc, free delicious chocolate chip cookies, and a community fridge with every kind of creamer, and two firepits, all accessible any time of day or night in the courtyard! We also took a "doggy bag" from dinner and stored it in the fridge until we left. The room had a fireplace, ceiling fan, modern radiator, air conditioner, beautiful shower, fluffy towels, nice soaps and every streaming choice you could want on the TV, full length mirror, (which I find very important), and wonderful bedding. It was spotlessly clean as well.

Nothing bad to say here.

Location was fantastic. First night value was exceptional - second night price went up >$100 for a Saturday night :-( Elevator and parking were not expected but awesome. Facilities were excellent. Shower was perfect. Room was a bit stuffy the first night (always seem that you have to adjust temperature for comfort after one night) Calvin was AWESOME in giving recommendations for restaurants. He is such a personable and knowledgeable owner. THE BEST WE HAVE ENCOUTERED ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD OF OUR TRAVELS! I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this quaint & pretty hotel with awesome location. Would I stay here again???? YES!!!!

Ah, somehow we allowed a bug in the room and it bit my wife a few times before we found it.

The room and bathroom were very spacious and tastefully appointed; the pillow-top bed and sheets were super-comfy. Communication with staff was very prompt and pleasant. It is a small 9-room Inn, intimate and easy to navigate.

The online info says they will lend or rent bicycles, but they claim to no longer be doing this.; a paucity of outlets in the room made for inconvenient charging of devices; the location is ideal in certain respects because it puts you within a block or two of the main shopping and entertainment area of Pacific Ave. as well as the wharf and West Cliffs, BUT, the block or two immediately surrounding the Inn is kind of seedy and lacks any pleasant distinction.

The room was very clean and the bed was one of the better ones in my travels. There were free cookies in the common area, which I thought was a great touch. The price is right, so even if you are traveling during a congested period of time, you can still count on finding a decent room at a decent price.

The room lacked a refrigerator. It's my fault for not noticing that it was absent on the room listing, but you would think such a thing would be standard. The nearby restaurants are great, but you better make sure you have no leftovers. Also, while I did find the air conditioning to be comfortable, it was quite loud. The walls are thin, so I could hear my neighbors having a gentle conversation all night. I can't even complain because it was a quiet talk. The walls are just that thin.

We stayed one night while helping get the kid home from UC Santa Cruz. Blue Pacific Inn was very nice with a clean room and really comfortable bed, and a ceiling fan for air circulation. Slept well. Self check-in directions were easy and accurate. Parking was convenient, only a few feet from the front of the hotel. There were chocolate chip cookies waiting in the lobby for us, (late check in), it was a nice touch.

Sooo cute!! Clean, lovely. Great coffee! I would gladly stay again.

A fellow guest said there used to be breakfast. That would be nice! Also please be up front about adding extra $ for parking — that was a surprise on my bill. Otherwise great value! Just wished that was more transparent.

Location, close to wharf, Boardwalk, restaurants and the beach. Staff was very helpful great communication about where to park and unload for the room. The cookies in the lobby each night were great, and they have a coffee machine that makes multiple types of coffees and also hot chocolate that were very good. We will be back on our next trip through Santa Cruz.

The location is perfect! It's walking distance to the beach/boardwalk and downtown, so once we parked the car, we could walk everywhere, which was very convenient. The staff were also very nice and it was an altogether pleasant experience.

Some of the facilities seem a bit old like the water and ice machines at the front and the locks on the doors seem a little flimsy for a hotel.
