Location and price were excellent. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The bed was too firm for my husband but it was fine for me. I liked the assortment of pillows.

The bathtub surface was slippery. It would be best to have a non-slip safety mat in the tub to prevent falls. The inner grass area desperately needs landscaping. Currently, it detracts from an otherwise nice appearance.

Proximity to the boardwalk and some restaurants was great. The staff was wonderful and we got to check in early.

The intense smell of fabuloso is a big turn off for me personally, but at least you know it's clean. There is no pool despite the pictures listed of one being there.

Looooved this place- A 4 minute walk with our wagon to the Boardwalk helped save us at least one hundred bucks on parking because we had three cars. The managers had us situated in three rooms connected right next to each no problem. It's true that there isn't a pool but really people, there's a WHOLE PACIFIC OCEAN is down the street. Anyhoom, there is not continental breakfast neither but how many of you actually eat hotel breakfast's? Other than that, make the best of it because the rooms are cozy and the price is FANTASTIC

Staff was very hospitable & friendly! The property was nice & clean, however there were features that were broken and needed repair, for example, the handle on the bathroom sink faucet came off a couple of times. The view of what once used to be the pool area was unpleasant to look at, however, maybe they will renovate in the future. What mattered the most to us though was the friendly service and we felt comfortable & safe, so overall it was a good stay :)

The property’s landscape could use some love & care.

The location, staff, room, & price was great. The location is near to the boardwalk to walk from but far enough to be away from the crowds and the noise from the boardwalk. Plus the area around the hotel is clean and appears safe. Plenty of parking. The staff is very friendly ,helpful, and speedy in any issue. The room was very comfy and clean and has the right amenities you need for a proper and convenient stay. The price for the hotel room wish include parking are very reasonable and affordable.

For the money, this place was great. The staff was friendly and the location was perfect walking distance to the boardwalk. Its not fancy, but the room had everything we needed. It was clean and the hotel allowed us to park our car early so we could go to the beach. They also allowed us to leave our car parked there for a few hours after we checked out so we could walk around town a little longer. This hotel is a great value for the money.

My only complaint is that the walls are very thin (I had previously read that in another review and it was defiantly true) and there was a child in the room above us that was jumping up and down making a lot of noise. Neither of the noisy rooms were loud for long though so we weren't really bothered and the noise level would not stop me from booking again. Overall, it was a great stay.

+ 8 min walk from the beach boardwalk + free and plenty of parking + awesome ice machine + the nice staff let us park the car after checkout + great room design + ac (hot&cold), refrigerator, lots of power outlets

- some parts of the floor coming off so you can’t walk barefoot - there are some stains in the sheets - water pressure is kinda low

Ive been coming here 3 years in a row. Its a short walk to the boardwalk, restaurants and local bars.

Only thing from this trip is I caught a local homeless man break into my car around 6am, luckily I came downstairs and caught him scared him off. Always lock your car even if just using the bathroom at 6am.

We enjoyed the updated rooms and having downtown Santa Cruz just about a mile away as well as the different beaches and the pier close, too! It was also cool having a balcony :)

The only comment is to maybe have a second mirror in the room, for example, maybe a full-length mirror between the entry door and the bed -- just because two or more people getting ready with one mirror was a little challenging.

I thought the the staff what incredibly helpful which helped to add to the general experience. The man sitting at the main desk gave me recommendations of places to visit that were nearby and was Ivette knowledgeable about the area. The price of the room was the cheapest in the area but the room exceed our expectations in cleanliness and was very spacious to the point that this will be our go to spot every time we visit Santa Cruz! It about an 8 minute walk to the boardwalk which was great and saved us from paying for parking.
