Loved the free parking and how close it was to everything.

The room was cozy. The balcony was nice. We were able to watch netflix on the tv. There is also a restaurant called Special Noodle that is down the street. Food to price ratio was great so if you stay here I highly recommend. After we checked out and left, my daughter realized she left her airpods in the room. Staff was very friendly and accommodating by letting us back in the room.

There were only 3 pillows on each bed and the shower was a little small. However, I am currently 9 months pregnant and neither of these would've been a big issue otherwise. The sliding glass door had sliding blinds that were a little hard to move because they would get caught on eachother, but not a horrible situation.

The room was really spacious and the bed was very comfortable to sleep in. Even though they don’t provide a fan in the room, they do have AC (and a heater) which helps a lot with keeping the room cool. I also like that there was a vending machine with drinks and next to it was an ice machine which was convenient.

Parking can be a little cramped and the lighting in the restroom was not bright enough to reach the shower well (for me at least) so it’s a little dark when showering. Also, I wish there was another trash can in the room to throw away wrappers and food scraps. There’s only one trash can in the restroom. The other thing I didn’t like was the wifi/internet. It was really slow (maybe because everyone is trying to use it) and took forever to load up websites so I ended up not using it.

The price, especially for a beach town, was great! The manager/owner was very nice and helpful. We loved that the hotel was walking distance to some of our favorite spots like The Buttery, and Hart Fabrics. The room was very clean and overall really quiet. The hotel felt safe, we would stay here again!

The bed was a bit hard, and the pillows are really small. The rooms at the end of the hall have the noise of the hallway door opening and closing all night which was pretty loud. Would be nice to have a lamp or two instead of only overhead lighting!

Andy, the front desk manager, was amazing! So friendly and knowledgeable. The first room we had wasn't great....dark, smelled weird and could hear everything happening in the room next door. Andy went above and beyond to make sure we got a different room and were satisfied. We moved to an upstairs room with more light and it made all the difference. He is very kind and can make recommendations for anything you are looking for.

This property is very much a roadside motel. They seem to be trying to make updates, but it definitely needs some improvements....mainly better lighting or at least bedside lights and better pillows. We came on a very popular weekend so we paid much more than this hotel is worth. I think on a normal weekend , you get what you pay for. I think they are trying to gradually do some updates. It seems like this is the norm for Santa Cruz. Lots of older motels that need some updates

The room was spotlessly clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for walking downtown or midtown. It's about 23 minute walk to the boardwalk or Seabright - or a 10 min drive. The beds are comfortable. Rooms are surprisingly quiet. Parking was easy to access and exit. Inside rooms had extra security to enter hallway. Rooms are freshly updated. All in all this is a great little motel at a great price.

WiFi was a little iffy and often cut out during the daytime. This was only an issue because I needed to work during the mornings. A second bedside lamp would have been nice too

The SeaSide Inn & Suites was a great find! I can't believe how great everything was for the price - room, bed, service, parking, and location to downtown. Check-in was smooth and staff were very friendly. The hotel is, in my opinion, in a very walkable area. We easily walked downtown, to the pier, and then back to the hotel. I have more friends coming to visit in a few months and I will be bringing them back to Santa Cruz and the SeaSide Inn & Suites.

There were some very loud, drunk guests running up and down the hallway at around 1:30 am during our stay. I don't think the staff could do anything about that, but maybe some larger quiet hours signs posted would help deter this.

I really appreciated the kindness and support from the staff. They're very reasonably priced and I always get my deposit back within a couple hours.

I didn't like that a homeless tweaker girl stole my back outside of the hotel, but the owner was very sweet and supportive in being willing to provide the video and speak with the police if needed. It didn't happen on the property but right outside. There are unfortunately a lot of drug addicts in the area looking for the next thing to take.

This place exceeded my expectations for a hotel. Everything was super clean and the location of the place was perfect. It is not a far walking distance from the beach and downtown, especially if you know the short cuts. I am an UCSC alum and visit Santa Cruz every so often and plan to return to this location in the future. They were super considerate in calling me about a pair of keys that were found and asking if they were mine, but they weren't. But the fact that they cared enough to call and ask shows a lot about the superb customer service. Highly recommend.

A really good location, just up from the beach and Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. The hotel is on a main road which did make it a little bit noisy at night but the plus side to that is that it was very convenient to drive to wherever we wanted to visit in the area. Great parking, coffee in the morning and a lovely owner on site to help and welcome us.

Furnishings in the rooms was a little old fashioned but that’s not a big problem, no hotel can refresh its decor every few years! Balcony a very nice benefit, even though it looked out onto the main road - I must add that non of these things detracted at all from our stay.
