The staff was nice. Free coffee, popcorn, snowcones at the windows and good views from the parking lot. The pool at night changing colors was cool. Clean room. Location. Laundry and refillable water was a nice touch.

Windows dont open on 100 level rooms. No screen on sliding door either so we couldnt hear the ocean at night. We stayed at 200 level last year which was cheaper and offers opening windows and better views. The linens are cheap, the tiny bathroom has no vanity in the kitchen rooms and for nearly $1500 for three nites I expect better. There were also dishrags stuffed into the shared balconies directly in front of the sliding door which looked extremely ghetto and dirty.

Great location across from the beach/ocean and near the pier. It was nice to have a sink, micro, frig in the room. Beds were comfortable. Complimentary lattes, popcorn, snow cones, filtered water, swimming pool and hot tub. Friendly and helpful staff.

We had the "ocean view" which was on the second level so we couldn't see the street or beach view very well. If we sat in the outside chairs we had a view of the bushes. You have to spend the extra money to have a "balcony" room and then you see more action. There's no privacy from your neighbors outside. The refrigerators need freezers and the plastic trays inside were cracked. There's nowhere to put your clothes except some baskets which are inconvenient. There's plenty of room to put some type of open dresser with just shelves and no doors.

I liked that the pool was heated, they offered specialty coffees, snow cones, hot chocolate, and popcorn most of the day at no extra charge. That was a big win for me and the kids. Location was great, right across from the end of the pier. Still within short walking distance to the Boardwalk and rides. Will definitely stay here again!

I had the first room next to the check in lobby. In the morning it seemed to be somewhat of a gathering place for employees that chatting a little more then I liked, as I had my window cracked open.

Our room next to the pool was quite lovely, but a coffee maker in the room would have been helpful. The office offered coffee/tea, however it wasn't self service and only accessed and provided by staff. Staff was great but when they were busy with other guests the wait for coffee/tea was substantial at times. Maybe have a carafe with hot coffee available for guest self service.

This was a great place to stay! Wish we had more than one day. The location is superb-we had a view of the wharf and could easily walk to the boardwalk. The rooms are nice (amazing shower with double heads!!). We had a room on the stair well which was a bit loud, but for only one night, not a big deal. No coffee maker in rooms, but they have coffee available all day at a little window near the office (popcorn and sno-cones, too, I think). Very friendly staff.

The property is great. We had a 1 bedroom suite. The living room was comfortable for the kids with a murphy bed and sofa bed. I loved having a fridge and microwave. The room was very clean and serviced daily. It’s right across the street from the ocean with a great view. Although if you’re paying for a suite, it would be better to ask for the second floor for the same price. The location can’t be beat. Across the street from the beach and between the boardwalk and the pier. We didn’t use our car the entire weekend. The pool and hot tub are great to have at the end of the day.

There is currently construction right next door. Overnight, there were loud beeping noises coming from the machines. It was loud enough to interfere with the kids sleep.

Location could not be better. We stayed in an ocean view room on the 2nd floor. Great views from our room and balcony. Room was spacious and very clean. Beach access was super close, just down some stairs, cross the street, and your feet are in the sand. Our boys especially loved being near the volleyball courts- great for watching some excellent play and trying ourselves with some other families who were also enjoying the beach. The little complimentary treats throughout the day made it especially memorable for our kids- hot chocolate and made to order coffees/tea in the morning, snow cones in the afternoon, and popcorn and tea in the evening! We really enjoyed the monterey bay exploration museum, which was just steps away, as well! We were really surprised there was no entrance fee. Well worth checking out, even for just a quick walkthrough. We could not be happier with our stay and are certain to visit again!

Location is perfect by the beach- just cross one road and you are on the boardwalk! Parking inside a courtyard felt safe and was easy (15 USD). Our room faced the poolarea. The pool is quite small, but children liked it. Firepit at night was cool. Complementary coffee in the morning, iceshavings in the afternoon and popcorn at night was a nice surprise. Comfortable beds and a wonderful & big bathroom. The hotel has a laundryroom - big plus for those on a longer trip!

Was nothing to dislike! Perhaps a bit expensive but then this is high season!

Our main reason for visiting Santa Cruz was to spend time at the Boardwalk and go aboard the holiday train. Beach Street Inn was walking distance to both. We also chose a room with a beach view. Despite it being only one night, we enjoyed our stay.

Overall, the visit was excellent. The patio was a plus, but I just wished each room's balcony was separated. Essentially, guests can easily peek into neighboring rooms if possible. This would be ideal if visiting with friends and family though.

The location was perfect and the room was cozy! Checking in and out was very smooth. The front desk ladies were both super nice. Loved the feeling of being secured at night with the gates closed and locked. The views were perfect and easy access to the boardwalk! I could go on about this place all and all 10/10! We will be back next year! Will recommend this place to anyone.

The only thing was the tv could use a upgrade the contrast on it was very blown out so everyone on the tv looked very badly sunburned haha. Really no negative to the hotel at all though! I thought it was a great place to stay!
