This was my first time staying at his location. Everything was immaculate. The breakfast was great. The dining hall was clean and welcoming. The staff was amazing, and the wine, cheese and fruit was just an added bonus. We had a great view of the boardwalk and the fireplace in the living area was warm and cozy. It almost felt like being at home. I did not want to leave.

It is not that I did not like it, but our tub came with jets and only 2 of the jets worked. It was not advertised as a jacuzzi tub, but next time I will request a room with a jacuzzi.

room very nice and comfortable. Great location to the wharf and boardwalk. lovely ocean breeze. Nice view of ocean from upper front porch with 4 comfy chairs. We had a room with the hot tub which we used and enjoyed.

AC would be nice but I really didn't need it. I left windows open and shades down. I also had a fan in my room. The breakfast was limited. Not for everyone. Would have liked a bagel & cream cheese or donuts or muffins. We just walked across the street to the Dream Inn's restaurant and had breakfast.lov

The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast had a variety of fresh baked goods, a hot dish, cereal, fresh fruit and hard boiled eggs (a favorite of mine, non-dairy). The afternoon wine hour had a variety of nibbles. Also, the the place was spotless and there are lots of hard wood floors! Great view of the ocean and the boardwalk. We were there for the Christmas holidays and the house was beautifully decorated and very homey.

The hotel is beautiful and historic. It's conveniently located for the beach and the wharf, but I was disappointed that it was not directly on the beach (I had assumed it was, based on the photos). We had the room at the front of the hotel, so the view was still very nice. The breakfast was delicious, but choice limited. Wine and cheese at arrival a nice touch.

The shower water pressure is very weak! I wonder if its due to the age of the building. The bathroom was beautiful and big, so a bit of a let down.

Lovely hotel in a lovely little coastal town. It has everything you expect from a boutique hotel: customer orientation, attention to details, cozy atmosphere... The location is great, the building is looking good. You basically have the beach near you. Also the pier is even closer.

If it was, it was minor. No changes on the overall impression.

Perfect location for the pier and boardwalk. Only 10 bedrooms and plenty of free parking for all rooms. The room was large with a very comfortable bed and lovely marble bathroom. We appreciated the wine and nibbles each evening and the breakfast quiche each morning. The chef came out regularly to refill so nothing ran out.

Full breakfast was very good and filling. Afternoon wine and cheese was also a very nice plus.

Room corner fireplace was set to pilot so could not see flames using the wall control switch. Would have been corrected if we had notified front desk before leaving. Had the room adjacent to kitchen so could hear staff preparing 8:30 breakfast each morning.

Excellent location: just feet from the beach, boardwalk, good restaurants, and the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary Exploration Center. Bed was good, not too soft. Wine and cheese in the afternoons was a nice touch. Breakfast in the morning was a little carb-heavy, but good. I liked the grooming products and lotions in the room, they smelled great. Big shower. Free parking. Free Wi-Fi.

I stayed in the bungalow rather than the main house and it was teeny, tiny. Not even a closet. I had to ask for a folding chair so I had somewhere to sit other than the bed. The worst thing was there are no surfaces in the bathroom to put my lotions, creams, hairspray, cleansers, and so forth on, though there is plenty of room on both sides of the sink for something narrow. Please put a little table there! Thanks. :) Also there is a dead pixel in the TV screen, which is a small but annoying detail.

Our stay was great. However, the breakfasts were disappointing. We stayed three days, and we had basically the same breakfast each day. I mean quiche each day. I understand that you are not making made-to-order breakfast, but even scrambled eggs or an egg casserole, at least.

The Inn is beautiful and our room was very comfortable. It's doesn't have A/C, but they do have portable fans, which were perfect for the weather. Great location for getting to the Boardwalk, beach and Downtown.

I didn't really enjoy the breakfast. I'm not a big fan of mushrooms.
