The hotel was gorgeous and clean. Islam was very nice at the front desk. I enjoyed the sports card wall behind the desk; it was neat to see. The room was clean and had everything I needed. The view down the street to the water was nice.

The elevator controls weren't always functioning clearly (wouldn't light up; or would require multiple pushes-- the elevator itself operated fine). The first night there was a loud noise that rattled the room from another room; not sure what it was but didn't repeat. I would have liked a more user-friendly way to see local TV channels than Amazon Fire TV, which I am not as sure how to operate.

Comfortable, and the night staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful.

When we arrived the toilet was backed up and disgusting which means the housekeeping staff did not clean in there. We checked in late, so when I called the desk for help it was after 10:30. They had no maintenance staff so I had to plunge it myself. It cleared right away, but what a nasty job for me after a long day of travel. When settling in to sleep we could not get the thermostat to decrease in temperature, it only kept going up. It was well after midnight but this time a because the night staff were SO nice, I didn’t want to disturb them again. We put the fan on and hoped for the best. We neither froze nor sweltered, so all ended well.

Sofia and her husband are amazing. I lost my debit card earlier in the day and didn't realize it until I checked in that evening. Sofia was understanding in a moment of panic for me. She worked with me to make sure the room deposit was taken care of. They were both attentive and checked in to make sure everything with the room was good. The bed was so comfortable, and I slept very well, something that doesn't happen often while I am traveling.

My only concern with this property was around safety. The room doors have a deadbolt lock that has a keyhole on the outside of the room. I felt I needed a little extra security as my room was right next to an external stairway. The second concern involved the parked placard that is required to parking in the lot. The placard had my room number listed. It also states the placard must be on the rear view mirror with the room number facing up. I did not do this and was hesitant about leaving the card visible with even the property name on the placard.

The building has a very charming architecture with an inner courtyard and pool. The room was large and modern and comfortable. The location was walking distance to downtown and to the beach!

Check out is listed as noon on booking but they insisted it is 11am and they made us pay $25 to extend it to noon, which felt like a rip off. I showed them my reservation says check out is noon and they said it's bookings mistake. Left a bad taste for me.

During my recent visit to Santa Cruz, I had the pleasure of staying at The Aqua Pacific Hotel, and I cannot recommend it enough! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm smiles and genuine hospitality. Check-in was a breeze, and I was immediately impressed by the hotel's stylish and modern decor. My room was spacious, immaculately clean, and had all the amenities I could have hoped for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the high-speed Wi-Fi, the well-stocked coffee maker, and the complimentary toiletries. The bathroom was pristine, with a fantastic shower that had excellent water pressure. One of the highlights of The Aqua Pacific Hotel is its location. It's within walking distance of the beach and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, making it the perfect spot for enjoying all the local attractions. I loved starting my day with a stroll along the beach and ending it with a visit to one of the many nearby restaurants and shops. Additionally, the indoor (open roof) heated pool and hot tub was a delight and great way to relax before bed. Overall, my stay at The Aqua Pacific Hotel exceeded my expectations. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and a prime location made for a truly memorable experience. If you're planning a trip to Santa Cruz, this is the place to stay. I can't wait to return!

Room was at a good location, easy to get around the city. You can take a walk to the boardwalk. Parking was good and common areas and room felt clean. Updated TV and clean smell free room. Has a pool and hot tub right downstairs. Friendly staff.

Shower pressure was abysmal and the mattress was too soft for my taste. Felt like I was sinking in it. Showers took too long because of poor pressure.

It's a beautiful hotel Mediterranean style. There is an indoor swimming Pole. Ample space in the bathroom, large vanity top the manager owner was very pleasant to deal with responsive to my needs. The few dollars extra was well worth it

Only one thing I had a room on the second floor and a couple times the elevator got stuck.But there's a call button inside the elevator and it was fixed immediately

I booked the room for a much lower price than other hotels and was expecting it to be kind of a dive. It was a great surprise that it was clean, comfy, friendly, and even had a jacuzzi and parking. It is a nice 15 minute walk to the boardwalk.

This is only a suggestion: The coffee pods in the room were flavored coffee which was nice but it would be nice to have some not flavored ones, as well.

This was a clean property and a reasonable price as it was a big weekend in Santa Cruz seeing as it was the weekend of the 100th Anniversary for the rollercoaster. This was a reasonable price. Basic, but all you need for a one night stay

They need to fix the blinds which were broken and as we looked out onto another motel it was a bit disconcerting.

The location was good, we were able to walk to the Boardwalk. Bed was comfy and it had a fridge for us to put our drinks in. Staff were friendly and helpful. They let us leave our car there till 1.00pm on check out which was great. The room was clean but the shower did leak out the side. It was the 4th July when we stayed so it was noisy but it probably would be like that at other hotels as well. Off street parking was good.
