My family and I enjoyed this place. Everything was clean, and the location is not so bad. It only takes about 4 min to walk to the boardwalk, and my kids enjoyed the indoor pool. The only bad thing is that the parking is not so big, so I would recommend parking and walking your way to boardwalk or wherever elsewhere near. If you want to leave and come back late you might need to find a parking outside near side walk somewhere. Other than that, it was excellent and affordable 👌.

If there was a mirror in the main room as well as just the bathroom, that would be nice. My husband, then kids, were showering, and while I was getting ready, I had to use the reflection of the T.V. to do my hair and a little bit of my makeup. This is just for is gals that like to get a little ready. Other than that, everything else was great.

Walking distance to beach & boardwalk, let us check in early, nice staff, easy check in, good parking, fridge w/freezer, coffee maker, big Dish TV, 2nd bedroom, ground floor, everything we needed.All toiletries, sheets & towels were old but clean & acceptable. Window has drapes & sheers in good condition. My grandson liked the pool. As hotels here go, being older & keeping their costs affordable, Surf City is above average. Will stay again.

Need more attention to detail by housekeeping - heavy dust on top of headboard, used coffee filter in water well of coffee maker, built up grime in corners of mirror, weak wifi, prior guest's streaming accounts weren't cleared from TVs, room smelled slightly of pot. However none of these are deal breakers considering the other nearby options. These economical hotels nearer to the beach& boardwalk are typically run at low cost all the way around & I've tried them all. Surf City didn't seem to have any problematic guests or homeless hanging around, the door & windows locked well.

I really enjoyed the upgraded look to the hotel and the location. It’s about a five minute walk to the beach. The staff was really friendly and helpful. It’s pet friendly! They have a mini putting green and corn hole. They also have an indoor pool. Which is really convenient if families stay..

I wish that they had a pet area for dogs to do their business. There really isn’t anywhere that dogs can “go”,neighboring hotels and the sidewalks have zero grass patches anywhere and it’s kind of an inconvenience to walk up and down the street to figure out where to go. There is an area against the back fence that would be great for a little walkway of grass to be put in. It looks like right now people just go there to maybe smoke a cigarette or from the looks of the garbage can drink a couple of beers, but that would be a great place for a stretch of grass to be placed for pets, especially if people are being charged for their dogs to be added into the stay.

Pet friendly, great location, drive up access to rooms, easy to walk everywhere, close to the beach, courteous staff, quiet and comfortable studio style room with full fridge and oven. The staff accommodated my service dog 🐕‍🦺. Very easy to find and felt very safe there.

Some tourists couldn't park their cars well and sandwiched my vehicle in, which made it difficult to load and leave. I didn't enjoy reading the negative reviews as I stayed here during the week and it was very pleasant! I would stay here again anytime.

We’ve stayed at Surf City 4 times now over the last 18 months! We love the convenience of its proximity to the Boardwalk - it’s a 10 minute straight shot walk down Riverside! The facilities are great, clean, & more on the modern side. Staff is great, as is parking. It’s our go to spot for our Boardwalk trips! Indoor pool & hot tub are great, so is the mini golf and cornhole, plus they’ve got snacks and drinks for sale in the lobby.

That it had a 2nd room, staff where super nice.

The place could use security, the locks for the windows weren’t too great and the people who checked in next to us were extremely drunk and roudy. The smell of the alcohol was so bad that you could smell it if the window was cracked open or the minute you opened the door. I know that’s not the staffs fault but maybe some security would help. There’s also a good amount of addicts lingering around

Every time I stay here, I am pleasantly surprised by the unexpected "upgrade." A couple of stays ago, I was alone and walked in expecting a single room bed. They gave me a two-bedroom room! I didn't even know these existed - or I didn't expect it from this hotel. I didn't even use the room, but that was pretty cool. Also, I needed a wine opener, and the front desk let me borrow one to return whenever. Thanks for the trust! And yes, I returned it. Lastly, I requested a late check-out, and he gave me another hour free of charge. Thelis guy is awesome. The second time I stayed here, I was with a partner, and we were expecting a king-size room. We got a kitchenette with it! Mind blown. Again, I didn't use it, but that's freaking cool that that's an option and an unexpected upgrade. Then, you add that this place has a pool and hot tub for such a great deal!! Maybe I shouldn't be giving this place away by leaving a review... Thanks, Surf City! I'm actually a local and come here for a bit of a staycation, lol.

Um, their prices are now spiking and not staying low regardless of being a loyal customer.

Inexpensive, clean, 4 blocks from Boardwalk, indoor pool/spa, corn hole, microwave, and mini refrigerator. Very nice friendly staff. 5 grandkids from 8 to 15 years old had a great time. Just extra info: need to remember to hang up clean room sign if you want room cleaned every day, ask for towels in the lobby for the pool, and may need to use the kiosk to check in if no one is in the lobby (limited staff). If you need extra supplies (toilet paper, coffee, etc.), ask in the lobby or the cleaning staff. We had the deluxe 2 bedroom suite which had a separate room with a queen bed, and the main room had the king bed. No couch, no separate table with chairs, but did have a small desk with 1 chair in each room.

It is a 10 minute walking distance from Boardwalk. Staff are super helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and decent. Bathrooms were clean as well, but the only problem with it was that the water pressure from the shower and sink was really low, and it took a few minutes to get hot water going. Other than that, I liked the place. I would stay here again.

The only thing I didn't like was that we got to the hotel at night time and we didn't find any parking space inside the hotel parking lot. We had to park in the back of the hotel out on the street.
