We stayed in the family suite, room 221. We had a great view of the ocean. The room was very clean and great proximity to the wharf and boardwalk. The beds were pretty uncomfortable though. All of us adults had back aches each morning. There also wasn't any fresh coffee or even continental breakfast in the lobby though. There were those little coffee machines in the room with a brand of coffee we had never heard of. Just offering fresh coffee in the lobby would've been a game changer for us though. Aside from that, it was a quiet, clean hotel with nice views. If that's all you need, this is your place. Plus, staff was very friendly.

We loved the location close to the wharf, Boardwalk and beaches. We had two rooms (two families traveling together) next to each other which was perfect for us. My daughter loved the mermaid wallpaper in the bathroom. :)

Very limited parking - we had to park in the Dream Inn parking lot as overflow, which was great to have except we had to go to the Dream Inn lobby to have our parking ticket validated before we could exit the parking lot.

Wonderful welcome, and it was OK to park our car even though we arrived a couple of hours before check in, which we really appreciated. The room was comfortable and we had a view of the beach and the sea. The Inn is in a great spot for visiting the pier (there was a free love music event the night we got there, it was fabulous), and for the coastal path along West Cliff Drive. Would definitely stay again.

There was a slight smell of drains, but that may have been from behind the hotel in the adjacent lot - we only noticed it when we had the bathroom window open. It wasn't a major issue.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The customer service lady at check in was not very friendly but the lady when we checked out was very pleasant.

It was absolutely ridiculous that we had to pay $35 additional per room for early check in. We came from out of town and arrived an hour early and were told rooms were ready but if we wanted to check in early we had to pay additional $35, because everyone was tired from the drive I paid it. We wont stay here again because of this!

Extremely helpful staff. Close to the boardwalk walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Property allowed us to park the day we arrived and the day we left. Beds were quite comfortable.

Expensive for what we received. Larger king room upstairs took quite a while to cool down although the first floor room was cold in minutes.

Loved staying here! Came to Santa Cruz for a bachelorette party and the suite we had was perfect. The staff was super accommodating and friendly, and the neighborhood felt safe. Would definitely stay again.

We booked an Oceanview room and the view didn't disappoint! After we ended our day we sat on the lounge chairs and enjoyed the view! Perfect location to walk to Boardwalk, Wharf or to take a stroll along the coast!

Only complaint is the bed was uncomfortable. Woke up with a sore back, a pillow top mattress would be great!

loved this place and it’s vibe. room is small but perfect for the amount of time you’re actually in it. the view from the 2nd floor of the boardwalk is nice and the staff was phenomenal. very close to everything we wanted to see and do.

uphill after a long day is brutal and I would suggest having more options for snacks in the lobby as restaurants in the immediate area close earlier than expected.
