The room was very good, clean and everyone was helpful. The location is the paramount reason for selecting this hotel as it a stones throw from the boardwalk and a great walk across the beach to get to it. Direct access to the beach is also a fantastic benefit. The swimming pool and hot tub area was lovely and a perfect area to relax.

This isn't a complaint more a disappointment, for the price of the room I was expecting them to be larger and I believed because they were poolside I would have access to the pool from my room, which wasn't the case. Now it wasn't a major issue but just wasn't what I was expecting when I booked it based on the descriptions and the photos.

I loved the views and cleanliness of our room. The staff was awesome and so nice. Room service was convenient and fresh. It’s close to the boardwalk too. It was honestly amazing even in gloomy weather when I went. In the morning, we were surprised by a gentleman from the hotel drawing a picture on the sand for us and we were able to enjoy our breakfast on the balcony and watch. They also have a restaurant on the property.

The parking is directly across the street and you have to pay $35 to self park and $40 for valet per day. There are no microwaves in the rooms but they do have one on the 4th floor. The bathroom didn’t have a lock on the door nor a fan to circulate any air. Room service breakfast was bland. Overall it was still a good experience despite that

Beautiful view from the executive double queen room. The private balcony was so nice. The room service was delicious. We had the burger and fries, as well as the dream inn chowder for dinner. For breakfast we had biscuits and gravy, and French toast that was loaded with fresh fruits. The beds are quite firm, but it's not terrible. Be aware of no microwave in the room if that's important to you (not an issue for me.) The shared microwave is on floor 4 next to the vending machines. There is a mini fridge in the room though. Keep in mind this is an older property, so some things are a little worn in the rooms, but everything was very clean. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will be back very soon!

Absolutely loved the location being right on the beach and tucked just far enough away from the Boardwalk so we could relax and enjoy. The pool and hot tub area overlooking the Santa Cruz Pier and boardwalk had everyone spellbound.

This was an expensive overnight stay as it stretched out my personal budget so therefore I looked (probably too critical) at the overall quality of property as a whole and I felt that the interior (wall furnishings & carpet) are starting to look dated/worn. In the room the mini fridge was not able to keep anything cool. These are just minor gripes as we were there for the location, pool and hot tub and they exceeded expectations.

Food was good excellent at the restaurant and all the hotel staff was very friendly and amazing. Beach entrance is the best and pool was great temperature!

The guys making tacos by the pool were not helpful at all when my wife asked about the meats they were serving. In fact very short direct answers that didn’t even answer her questions. We were very polite to them but did not receive any respect in return. They clearly need help on their people skills.

We love hearing the waves all night and easy access to the beach. Also love that the pool and spa are basically on the beach. The location is great and the rooms are always clean and comfy. It's great being able to walk to the Boardwalk, the wharf and Westcliff Drive. Just a 2 mile drive to downtown. Parking is nice and easy too. Can't beat the views!!!

Hate to say anything bad here because we love the place and the location soo much, a couple things were broken in the room but I brought it to the staffs attention. I'm sure they will fix it right away. They are always maintaining the hotel and take great care of it.

We usually stay in the Tower but thought it would be fun for the teen ages to be by the pool, first time since at the Dream Inn not in the tower, Pluses and minuses diffidently louder but knew that when booked 2nd floor. It was super nice close to pool, exit by the restaurant to get on street.

Need to clean more in carpeted stairs and the stair handles. Also the deck off room was very dirty, hadnt been cleaned. There are pool rules and they are not followed.

The location and facilities are amazing. Well worth the extra money. The details of the room help make for a lovely stay. The beds are comfortable, rooms quiet, and the sound of the ocean is the best part. The staff are friendly and helpful. We will stay here again.

Three things: 1) parking is expensive for an already expensive room, 2) we were told that the pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance upon checking in. It would’ve been nice to know this before arriving. 3) every staff person was friendly and helpful, except for the woman who checked us out. She asked if I wanted a printed receipt and when I said “yes” she acted like I was bothering her. She made excuses like “our printer is slow, and “we usually email receipts”. I said I could wait and it took her less than a minute to print. She said “here” and handed it to me haphazardly and without looking at me. It’s a small detail considering how great the place was, but it left a bad taste in my mouth as we were leaving.

We loved our room and the restaurant. The employees have great customer service. The beachfront location was so beautiful.

For what we paid we were a little disappointed when we looked over the balcony down below there was a whole bunch of construction going on and didn't look pleasant.

The views are excellent. That is the main reason to visit. Although the pool was right outside our patio. And, as you would expect, used loudly and constantly until 10pm. They moved us right away to the 7th floor which had a much better view and no tourists in our patio. It was my husband's birthday and they generously gave us free parking which was fabulous.The room, in the tower, was lovely and decorated in '60's-70's surf era. The beds were much more firm than comfortable. The room service was served by a nice, professional person, and though way overpriced ($75 breakfast), it was a treat. Especially to sit and watch the sailboats and surfers in the leisurely morning air. The front desk folks were very helpful with tickets and anything else we needed. Also very friendly and professional.

Being a economy hotel disguised as a luxury hotel soley because of the view and beach access. We didn't use the pool or hot tub because it was constantly used by a few monopolizing guests, who left bubbles, cloudiness and a sheen on the water when they left at 10:10pm. The towels were very thin in the room. Clean and tidy however, attended to by warm and professional workers who always greeted us with a smile.
