An excellent one-nighter. Very kind, friendly and helpful staff, nice big well-appointed room, excellent breakfast and a good evening meal. Very comfortable bed. Only 25 mins into York centre (I guess it's good for Leeds, too). There's nothing around this hotel so don't go expecting night life etc; it's a great place to stop off if you're travelling long distance. No noise at all from the dual carriageway outside.

I think the WIFI was a bit slow or intermittent but it wasn't a problem for us. Thanks to all the staff for being so welcoming.

a nice hotel even thou it was busy it was very quiet pleasant staff clean room and bathroom didnt have breakfast left for work before they serve at 7am the food was very nice food at evening times

stayed for 2 nights wasnt told the rooms would not be serviced so arrived back at the hotel at 6.30pm after work on day 1 to find my towels in a heap damp on the floor also they were a bit mean on teabags and sugar 2 teabags and 2 normal sugars 4 pots milk

I would happily return to this hotel if I was in the area again. The room was a comfortable size. Tea & coffee tray was well equipped with plenty of drinks and a pack of biscuits. I had my 2 large dogs with me and there was plenty of room for their crates to fit in the room. I expected it to be noisy with it being on the main road but it was actually very quiet which was a huge bonus as I hate noise!

There's nothing to complain about really. The bed was comfortable, just slightly too firm for me but not dreadful by any means. There wasn't really anywhere that you could walk the dog except the car park but it wouldn't stop me from returning for an overnight stay. I couldn't really fault the place.

Good breakfast (in my case, scrambled eggs on toast, cooked to order), room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. No issues with checking in or out.

No lift to upstairs rooms (it wasn't mentioned), so staff could have asked if I needed help with my obviously oversized bag. A bit of a trek to the room, which was right at the end of the corridor - not sure why given there were only a handful of vehicles in the car park. Carpet was a bit dated in the room, which was otherwise good.

Only one night but a great stay. Staff were fabulous and very helpful and friendly. Ate in the restaurant and both dinner and breakfast were delicious and very good value. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone wanting either a night stopover or a longer stay. Room was extremely comfortable and spotless. The fact we could have our dogs with us both in the room and when we ate in the outer dining room was super. Easy to access and ample parking will definitely use again. Thank you.

Clean, comfortable room. Very tasty breakfast - cooked to order. Friendly staff, even taking an interest in chatting to my daughter about her having climbed Ben Nevis the day before.

The shower needed maintenance - was leaking at the shower head. The coffee on offer at breakfast was just a generic freeze dried packet. Offering a fresh coffee from the machine (which they did have on the bar) would have made a real difference to my breakfast experience (I had to go back to my room and make a coffee with some that I brought with me).

The exterior of the building is disgraceful Extremely poor external lighting meant I drove by 2x as sign very small & poorly lit. Exterior lighting would improve the facility enormously. The external car area is covered in weeds & needs a very good wash. The back of the building, all be it a storage facility, is extremely unattractive! As well as very dirty! We don’t sleep there but it’s a mess & detracts from the hotel.

Unfortunately, none of the TVs seem to work we could not get them on. We were family with three rooms. Maria in the dining room was a gem . Our only problem the second morning the breakfast was cold from the buffet style. Would be good to be able microwave it .But it would not deter us to stay again.

Lovely, friendly staff. Had a problem with the TV in the room not working. The staff on reception went above and beyond to sort it out and we really appreciated it. I have forgotten the name of the guy who sorted it, im sure it began with J, he was a superstar. Thank you so much. The room was upgraded and it was absolute bliss.

Easy to find, park and check in. Welcomed at reception and able to check in on arrival which was welcomed after a long drive. Room big, clean and a very large comfy bed. Food was a good price and we enjoyed it. Friendly lady made us feel very welcome in our short 1 night rest to split our long drive.

Would have enjoyed a walk after a long drive but location didn't allow for it. A vending machine for snacks would have been good with the limited eating time.
