The hotel is very nicely located. The bathrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. Very short walk to the main square.

There wasn't any air conditioning, which would have been fine if there weren't people sitting in the courtyard and chainsmoking for hours at a time. We were unable to open our windows without getting a room full of cigarette smoke. We had to be uncomfortably hot for several hours in the evening until the people who were chainsmoking went back to their room. I have asthma so opening the window with the smoke was not an option for us. It would be nice if the courtyard that is surrounded by rooms with windows that people need to open would be a smoke free area.

Clean, comfortable, small hotel in an attractive and convenient setting next to a bridge. Easy to find. Large bed. Access and check-in process is thoughtfully organised and worked very well - felt friendly even though we didn't meet staff in person until breakfast. Walking distance from the Grote Markt and on a bus route. Bars and restaurants very close by. Not expensive for the area. Quiet at night. Secure bike storage in a central courtyard with level access (though If you're a solo bike traveller you might need to find someone to help you briefly when checking in outside of staffed reception hours, to avoid leaving your bike unattended - the side gate for access to the courtyard needs to be opened from the inside). Warm shower in a wet-room style ensuite bathroom. Proper room keys.

Buffet breakfast (included) was adequate but underwhelming - real butter would have been nice, as would better coffee.

Incredible location, directly on a canal (with views), easy walking to major historical sites in Burges. Bus stop immediately outside from door made for really efficient travel to bus and train stations. SUPER helpful staff. Charles and Gita are top notch. Nothing over the top but tasty, high-quality breakfast food and coffee. Very clean room and premises. Local grocery store just 100 or so meters from hotel. Perfect for the self-sufficient visitor, given the hands off, but very responsive approach to guest services management. Dozens, upon dozens, of restaurant, bar, pub, and retail options. Will certainly stay again and recommend.

I did not recall upon arrival that the room did not have coffee/tea service (machine) automatically included with room. Resolved quickly upon request.

We had a very nice and pleasant stay at this hotel. The location was perfect—right in the heart of everything, with lots of lovely coffee shops and bars just around the corner. Our room had a lovely canal view and a large window with a wide windowsill, perfect for relaxing and taking in the beautiful surroundings. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself is based in a classic historical building, which added charm to the experience. Breakfast was basic but nice—more than enough for both myself and my husband. Overall, a great stay and we’d happily return!

Floor in corridor and room needs fixing.

Excellent position, 5 minutes walk to centre of town. Remote access worked fine, very clean room & comfy bed (bit high but I managed!). Lovely old building which is being updated but as it’s a listed building there are restrictions I believe, but it has such charm, that’s why I chose it. Excellent value for a prime position. Shame the tv didn’t play any programmes but that’s a minor niggle! For the naysayers, read the t’s & c’s! I took my own kettle & hairdryer. My room & bathroom was bigger than home & better appointed. Yes I could pick holes if I wanted, but why would I? I was content as were other Customers I spoke to. Thank you, I will be back.

The location was good and walking distance to the center. The bed was large and super comfortable. The view out of the room was very nice outlooking the canal.

The corridor to the room was not finished and needed renovation. The room had the sink separate from the bathroom (due to space) the radiator had some sort of automated lock. It would randomly come on and off at one set temperature. So you could go from 23 degrees down to whatever it was outside as the heat escaped very quickly. This is not good as you want to be able to set the temperature maybe less than 23 degrees and have it constant not up and down.

Great hotel, easy and comfy. Although there’s no 24/7 reception, the overall check in and out process was great, easy and smooth. I was hesitant at first but I actually really loved it! Would definitely recommend. Breakfast included is actually a plus in the experience.

My room had a partially obstructed view of the canal due to construction work on the hotel (not a big deal). Floor work in the hall was also being done (but no issue with construction work noises. Just a low in terms of aesthetic or hotel readiness for the summer).

This is our second stay at this hotel. We love it. Fabulous location. A nice quiet area but still close enough to the centre. We chose the rooms with a canal view where you can wave to all the passing tour boats and get that waterside feel. The room was comfy and bed perfect for us. The shower is fab. Our room was quite cold but this was quickly rectified by reception, which is manned in the day. We would suggest taking a travel kettle and some tea bags if you are a brit! We missed our tea. There is a supermarket just along from the hotel, (turn left as you leave), for milk. We would also suggest taking a hair dryer and change for the vending machine. The gentleman on reception could not have been more helpful, welcoming and lovely. He was a joy. All the staff were friendly, especially the breakfast girls who always had a smile and a greeting. General info. I have some mobility problems and use a stick. Bruges as a medieval town has lots of cobbled streets and as it was Christmas there were lots of people. This made mobility tricky for me at times. We feel that a wheelchair user might find things difficult as access to most places are not designed for the disabled. The shuttle bus stops right outside the hotel. For walking the easiest and prettiest route to town is to cross the road from the hotel and follow the canal path to the fish market. Also just across the road is the Molenpoort restaurant which does absolutely delicious food and coffee. Thank you for a lovely stay in beautiful Bruges ♡

The property was ideally situated for us, a short walk from the centre of brugge but far enough away to be quiet in the evening. Our room was fairly small but was big enough for our weeks stay, had a very comfortable bed & a good size bathroom with a walk in shower. The breakfast was continental style & exactly what we had expected it to be. All the staff were friendly & approachable, there were always clean towels available throughout the week & Charles on reception was always happy & willing to help & advise on the local area & transport system. We would stay again.

The week we stayed was particularly hot & there is no air conditioning, so we did have 1 fairly uncomfortable night

Location is great, close to everything, a bus stops right outside the hotel door. Free bus too. You can walk to the train station in 15 minutes. Breakfast is good. Staff are friendly. Rooms are all different. That was our 4th stay, good communication from the hotel, letting us know there was an event close by and the music might be a bit loud. Self check in, very easy.

No complaints really but no tea/coffee in rooms, or hairdryer you have to pay for each as an extra, get from reception, personally I would rather have the cost added into the room price already and have the basics in the room! But it was not a problem, rooms could do with a bit of an up date, but are clean and comfy
