Excellent location and good size rooms.

I cant fault anything apart from when Checking out was told we had something from the mini bar which we didnt, also that we had a bar bill to pay, we paid the bar bill as and when we had drinks, you should be made to sign something if you are putting items onto your room to stop this happening.

Fabulous, shame didn’t have an evening restaurant

First choice of bedroom was horrible, carpet was disgusting and room not as glamours as in picture but manager changed our room to a beautiful clean room. Could have had help with suitcases as ramps not available.

After having problems with some of the hotels on my last trip, with serious night noise that prevented getting a good night's sleep, I made a special effort to vet the hotels on this trip. The Grand Hotel Casselbergh didn't disappoint. With thick walls, floors, and ceilings, as well as double-pane windows, we never heard any noise during our three-night stay in the Casselergh. I like booking.com, but I don't like the way my noise complaints about specific hotels are not considered "relevant" to the "Most Relevant" rating algorithm, which hides them away somewhere unless the user specifically searches for the 1, 2, or 3 star reviews. Really? What is more relevant to a hotel stay than whether you can get some sleep? Back to the Casselbergh, the public spaces are super impressive and it was a joy to use them. The rooms are quiet and very, very clean. I can't remember a cleaner hotel room. Everything worked and worked well. The staff was helpful and pleasant.

The rooms (especially the bathroom) were a little on the small side, but not enough to be objectionable, considering the other positive attributes.

It was centrally located. Loved the bathroom products, robes and slippers. Loved the historical building. It was so close. There was parking under the hotel.

Parking was tight and you had to give your keys to staff so they could move your car, where there was a double park. There was no food options after a certain hour. Some of the staff knew nothing about the history of the building or the art. Thought there should have been some ID on the beautiful art. I learned later that the beautiful columns in the basement’s wellness spa were original. They looked like Egyptian. Very cool. The spa in the basement was ok. The steam room should have had a eucalyptus or some sort of essential oil. There was nothing - it was still beautiful. Wished the services were open after 10pm as there was not staff there anyways.

I absolutely loved this hotel – the staff, the location, and of course, the beautiful city of Bruges. The room was stunning, well-equipped, and offered a lovely view of the canal. The location was perfect – less than a five-minute walk to the central market, with plenty of charming restaurants, coffee bars, and brunch spots nearby. The hotel itself felt wonderfully luxurious, almost like stepping back in time. The atmosphere was enchanting, and my stay was truly memorable.

The only minor downsides were the pillows. For us, one pillow felt a bit too firm/thick while the other was too soft — though of course this is a very personal preference and might be perfect for others.

Good hotel with excellent facilities . Clean and tidy . Location excellent from the centre .

Noise … we were x3 adults and given the family suite . The roof is not noise proof . We had some children in adjacent rooms and we could hear the noise . So you have disturbed sleep in spite the costs . The noise was dreadful . Not sure why the hotel management didn’t think about this as it is wooden partition between the rooms going up the ceiling . I would avoid the junior suites at all costs . Parking is expensive 30 euros per night . We didn’t try the breakfast as there were many nearby restaurants that served breakfast .

Where do I begin? From first to last, this place felt very special! Underground parking in the middle of the city is a good start! Our room was luxurious and spotless, the bed enormous and super comfy. Wonderful property with some interesting history, lots of beautifully decorated sitting rooms to relax in before heading out. Breakfast was also very enjoyable. Service throughout our stay was excellent, we left late and the front desk were really amenable to this, we used the wonderful spa facilities in the basement which made our stay just a little longer and happier!

Internet and TV services were not functioning when we stayed but the problem was eventually fixed. Not exactly what we were there for anyway….!

Everything was great. Superb hotel, fantastic location, clean, comfortable and accommodating. Staff amazing, very polite, informative and helpful. Beautiful rooms. The room was perfectly made up each day. Just gorgeous. Lovely, lovely, lovely.

The cost of parking - however, I think it is in competition with other hotels in the area and that said the car was very secure and their parking led directly into the hotel via a lift. Also a lift into the car park from the street, which was very unique and fun. So not a big issue. Wish there had been shampoo and conditioner in the spa (but this is only a trifle comment). Not a deal breaker by any means.

The location was perfect for our 3 day break. The staff were very nice, welcoming and helpful. Our room was ideal with all facilities we needed.

Our room was located in the modern wing of the hotel, however, I would have expected better sound proofing to eliminate noises from adjoining bathrooms. The view from our window was also disappointing, with a view of waste bins outside. This meant we didn't experience the peace and tranquillity being promoted by the hotel. All that being said, our room did not detract from what was a very enjoyable break in this beautiful city.

The location could not be better. The hotel is within walking distance of anything you want to do in Bruges, so easy to return to and drop off your shopping, for example, or to have a rest between sightseeing trips out. The hotel has a majestic feel to it, very high ceilings and beautiful decor in the public areas.

As we were two people staying for 3 nights the provisions of drinks in the room, tea and coffee, could have been more generous. This was not a budget room but meant to be superior. We were allocated one teabag each, one full strength coffee pod each a day and 1 decaf coffee (to share between us?) When I asked for additional decaf coffee the staff member provided one extra pod, but on the following day we were back to our allowance. It was a particularly warm weekend when we were there and the air-com was not effective in keeping the room at an even temperature. We were awoken in the night by the heat. We mentioned this to reception and as far as we could see nothing was done about it.
