Most beauitful location in all of Bruges. The hotel interior is elegant and very antiquated in its decor, immersing you in the spirit of Old Bruges. Makes the greatest point of departure for sightseeing in Bruge. Boat ride next to the hotel is the best, friendliest staff. Speaking of which, Veerle, is the top concierge and hostess. She made us feel like royalty. It spoiled us, making us compare every other hotelier to her. She knows her craft of hospitatlity, having grown up in the hotel half of her life when her parents owned and ran it. She will make you feel that her former home is now your home.

What a wonderful place to stay, Amazing location, right in the centre of Bruges. Our room overlooked the canal and it was a lovely room, very clean and comfortable. The building dates back to the 1600,s its stunning. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel and the food is excellent. Cant recommend this hotel highly enough,

What a fantastic hotel to stay at in Bruges, the location was perfect, the staff were vert friendly and helpful. The food was great, the beer was cold a clear. We had an excellent few days here. Our breakfast by the water was magical. We had a great room, I would recommend it to everyone.

Quite room and comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. Shower is part of the bath so may not suit all clients. Breakfast was provided and had a good selection of options.

Room was on the top floor with no lift but okay for those that can manage stairs.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable. It is slap bang in the middle of the 'most photographed scene in Bruges'. Our room had been recently refurbished. The setting for breakfast is spectacular; it's a very nice continental breakfast with a soft-boiled egg. The photos show the view from our room, which was next to the hotel's sign. We had room 4. I've included a picture of the front facade of the hotel as seen from the square.There used to be a tannery in this square, and there are stone carvings depicting the tanners at work.

Because of the central location, there is some daytime noise, but it's quiet at night when you need it to be, and the noise only starts up around 10 am when the tour boats get going. Also, there's no AC, but the hotel is in a historic building. It wouldn't be possible to add AC. It didn't affect our stay, and the temperatures were in the low to mid-20s Celsius.

Location, location, location! My goodness, I've never stayed in a hotel that looked like this! In the most picturesque spot in Belgium, in a beautiful original building, the view and access to the town square were unbelievable! Every day we had breakfast downstairs, overlooking the canal next to an open window... amazing. We ended up having dinner there just to keep things simple, and it was one of the best dinners we had during our entire trip of France and Belgium! The owner was great, he made sure we were taken care of and everything was how it should be. Amazing experience!

A beautiful, characterful, historic hotel set in the centre of Bruge’s waterways. Something to see in the hotel everywhere you looked. From the pictures to the material lined ceiling in the breakfast room. The breakfast was a high quality European breakfast with excellent coffee.

The beds were too soft for our liking and the bath (which we’d been looking forward to after a hard day’s ride was hard to get in and out of due to it being so narrow (I’m not fat by the way!). The partition wall by the toilet could do with a soft capping on the corner as it’s very sharp and unforgiving and could cause a very nasty accident should one slip and fall.

Room size, bed comfort, bathtub/shower and view were outstanding. Quiet at night and sooo peaceful. Breakfast was satisfying w toast your own waffle but included standard European breakfast. Included a soft boiled egg. Dinners at the restaurant we're outstanding and reasonable. The escargot, carpaccio, mussels and osso bucco were all excellent. So good that we got the escargot and ossobucco again the next night. We substituted the mussels for the Flemish beef stew. Desserts were outstanding!

Taxi was expensive to and from the location. It would have been hard to have rolled our smallwheeled luggage across the cobblestones to get to the central square or bus stop.

The location in the city center couldn't be better. A parking garage is available 200 meters away. We were given a beautiful room with a romantic canal view. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. The staff was exceptionally friendly. On the day of our arrival, we had dinner in the restaurant, which was perfect in every way: delicious food, a lovely ambiance, and very pleasant service. The breakfast selection isn't outstanding, but it's perfectly adequate. On the day of our departure, we returned to the restaurant for lunch. They served delicious fresh oysters. We highly recommend the hotel and the restaurant and would definitely return. The value for money is very good.
