A trendy and luxurious small boutique hotel located along the canal. A welcoming entrance to the hotel as it was filled with about two dozen live Christmas trees. Very nicely decorated rooms. Cozy bar with roaring fireplace. Centrally located and within just a few hundred yards of the main square and numerous chocolate stores! Visited during Christmas season and was able to walk everywhere. Staff was very friendly, helpful and forthcoming with advice. Definitely recommend a stay here.

The hotel is very central, the deluxe superior room was excellent and the bathroom was amazing with toliet bidet, Randall shower dusk washbasin for couple, very comfortable bed. The free drink in the hotel lounge by the river was great where hotel is located. Very good staff and severed us well. There is a private area outside for guests to enjoy weather and seating

Only little things - don’t try to drive there Park and go to the interparken panjtere underground parking - 3 minute walk. Not enough soap in bathroom. The windows are massive doors which are chained with little gap for ventilation. Just enough in this building

Loved the location and the plus of our room was canal level with patio.

Having the room on the lower level was good but also bad in that the hallway had an ejector and it smelled bad of sewer gas. Also this room is directly under the lounge fireplace area. Thankfully guests wrapped up around 11PM or else we would have not been able to sleep with the banging noises from above. I can only give this place an 8 because of this. I don't know what the other rooms were like. I also don't like when hotels run $100 charge when I already prepaid the room and then credit the charge back several days after checkout. No need for that in my opinion.

Perfect location, right in the centre. Crawling distance to the main attractions such as Markt with the Belfry and Burg along with the incredible views along the canal at Rozenhoedkaai. Plenty of great food and drink options around obviously. Great service, loved their lounge and dining room. Room was delightful as well. Comfy bed, everything that you needed was supplied. The staff recommended a nice restaurant in Brasserie Raymond. The breakfast was worth it especially because at 8am I was the only one there to enjoy the spread in stunning surroundings. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk from the train station so it may require a taxi which will set you back 12 euros.

The shower is slightly narrow. I was in room 104, which was on the second floor. I wouldn’t recommend rooms on the ground floor facing the street so select wisely. The safe is quite small.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the hotel smelt gorgeous and was exceptionally calm and relaxing. The large drawing rooms with the burning log fires were wonderfully relaxing and we particularly enjoyed the breakfast and accompanying piano music.

The bathroom wasn't particularly well ventilated to the extent that the condensation from the bathroom was appearing in the bedroom and bubbling the wall paper and dripping off the windows. The bathroom door was glass and therefore didn't allow much privacy or sound proofing. The room also got very hot in spite of the heating being off and the aircon being on which didn't blow out cool air.

Everything was great; staff, room, sitting room, breakfast room, etc. I was travelling alone with a small dog and was made to feel at home. The staff were all so friendly to me and my little dog. The hotel is beautifully decorated and maintained and has a very homely and comfortable feel. It's also in a fantastic location close to everything.

My only concern was the use of a key to lock the bedroom door when inside the bedroom. In the event of a fire or emergency this could be an issue. Guests must ensure they leave the key in the lock when in the room to ensure a rapid exit.

The care and attention that everyone offers to their guests is second to none! I loved the decor, too, and the use of physical keys was a delight rather than key cards! The location of Hotel de Orangerie was absolutely perfect for us! I personally can't thank the team enough for going above and beyond in organising a small surprise for my new husband on his birthday. It was perfect in every way! We will definitely be coming back to visit time after time!

That I couldn't stay longer - I felt like we had arrived home to family the moment we walked through the door.

The location is perfect with entrance on a quiet side street. Other side faces the canal. The decor is very Belgian and beautiful. They have a sitting room that appears to be right out of a movie with vintage comfy chairs, paintings and books. Window looks to canal. Everything worked. They have a terrace on the canal for food. You can reach most parts of Bruges within a 15 minute walk. There is a police station on same street. Very safe. You can buy tickets for a canal tour by boat nearby. Several restaurants nearby including omnipresent Waffle cafes and chocolate shops. Room was decent size as was bathroom and shower. Bed was comfortable. All of the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. We met Corinne, Lara, Maria and Babette. They enhance the experience. You get a key for the room with a vintage key chain, not a card. Special. We would definitely return

If I had to say one thing I think it would be the air conditioner. It worked and the windows opened for cool air but if we were there during the summer, it might be an issue for Americans not used to less power on the ac.

The hotel located in the prime spot , on the beautiful canals of Bruges. They offered secured private parking, within a 5 min walking distance at an extra rate. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious , clean and comfortable ( even the dog friendly ones). Enjoyed the welcome complimentary drink on the terrace. Lots of great restaurants close by. Didn’t hear the hustle and bustle of the busy streets. Comfortable bed and great pressure shower!

The staff, the cozy nook in the living room with the balcony window seat overlooking the river, having Christmas breakfast! Friendly, enthusiastic staff who know hospitality. A charming, cheerful room overlooking the interior courtyard, so sunny but quiet. It is beautiful but unfussy and has a great location! Everyone was so helpful and made you feel welcome. The best part is that the hotel is on the canal and is on a side street, so no tourists are parading in front. My only wish is for a restaurant, even a café not just breakfast...

Either lose the wall-to-wall carpet or get a vacuum made for carpets. In all the hotels in the world, I never had a problem, but they didn't vacuum. Then I saw they had a vacuum for parquet floors. No wonder as you can't clean a carpet with that. So that was a challenge to get it clean, but finally they did it, and what a difference.
