We stayed in the pink room and it has fantastic. The bed as very comfortable. It is located on the ground floor but it is a quiet street and we couldn’t here any noise. I fractured my ankle the night before and as this room was located in ground floor with step free access it was exactly what I needed. The reception Marlene was absolutely brilliant, she was very helpful and informative and make us feel like home. She even helped us calling to the bike shop to rent a wheel chair! Breakfast was also excellent and the guy (I can’t remember his name but his from the Philippines) he was so helpful and accommodating.

Nothing, it is a great hotel and we are looking to come back again

This hotel is in a superb location just 100 metres from the tourist areas but on a relatively quiet canal, we loved the ability to walk around for a few hours, take a break and return to the fray. The staff are fantastic and i can honestly say we have never met such genuinely friendly and helpful people, we will not forget them. Breakfasts were good with a generous buffet and cooked bacon with eggs. The hotels car parking is very convenient though pricey but this reflects its location. We enjoyed the pool and sauna. Our small well behaved dog was made most welcome. Its a small hotel with a small staff but it is very warm and welcoming and providing you are not expecting or demanding all bells and whistles then its a good comfortable place to stay.

As others have mentioned the hotel is due a refurb. The place is kept as clean as possible but some of the carpets are worn and stained as people have tracked dirt in from Bruges streets. If this is a deal breaker then you must stay elsewhere but for the charm of the property, its location and its wonderful staff I would certainly return.

The location is superb, the hotel is comfortable and most of all really welcoming - we were made to feel at home and nothing was too much trouble

The spacious rooms, the wonderful hotel decor, the room furniture and its old well maintained style, the courtesy of the staff and the location of the hotel: in short we liked everything!! We travel a lot and we have been in hundreds of hotels so far, yet we have not encountered reception officers accompanying us to the lifts the way we experienced it in this hotel. Even the housekeeping staff were helpful and smiling. The cleanliness and relaxing smell all over the hotel, the music in the lobby, every thing exceeded our expectation. The employees are more than excellent, very helpful, very attentive, always smiling and professional. Fast check in and check out.We will definitely come back and we highly recommend this hotel that makes everything to let its guests feel relaxed and in a continuous vacation mood without concerns!

The staff were so friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The location was amazing, so central! Our room had great air-conditioning so our room was lovely and cool at night to sleep. The beds were very comfortable and the room was so clean. The hotel is a beautiful old building, packed with character and charm. I highly recommend the Hotel Die Swaene

Everything about the Hotel quirkiness of the decor, friendly staff the Breakfast was wonderful. Lionel at breakfast was a wealth of knowledge of places not to be missed.

The hotel retains a timeless vintage European vibe with an emphasis on service. The staff take pride in the hotel. The breakfast was lovely and quiet. We liked the honor bar in the ballroom area. The hotel was fully decorated for Christmas. We would stay here again for more than a short stay. It is a gem. Great location for the Christmas market and just to wander the town.

Parking was a bit hard to locate.

Never was the word "quaint" more apt. Imagine a weekend away in your adorable but slightly batty great auntie's stately home, dedicated to the grace and grandeur of swans. The staff are exceptionally helpful and genuinely friendly, from reception to room service to the chatty night porter. Everything was clean, the breakfast was ample and the honesty-bar was relaxing and atmospheric. It was all very eccentric and entertaining.

I was in a single room at the top, and the bathroom facilities were a little bit cramped. It could get very warm.

First of all! Staff what an amazing and happy people! We cross with 4 different persons during our one day stay , and each one of the member treat us so well and kind with the biggest smile that I could imagine! But I would like to mention a special person that we had the pleasure to meet!! Mr chicho! We serve us during the breakfast and what a lovely and generous persons ! We try to took him to travel with us, but we loves his job!full of light and energy treat us like royals! Thanks everyone for make our life’s so happy for those moments!!

That I didn’t stayed more than one night

Wow - we were bowled over when we saw our room. It's beautiful. The room is large with a very large bed and beautiful furniture. Our room had a little courtyard. The bathroom is also lovely and a good size, although the shower is a little small and the toilet, which is separate from the bathroom (always useful) was quite small. It's very close to everything and is situated across from a canal. We would definitely recommend staying here.

It is perfect.
