Location was great so close to Emporios town square and great beach, yet also removed enough to be quiet when solace and silence was needed for sleep (even during an all-night festival with live music and dancing for 1,000+ people in the town square - we retired by 2am but the party went until dawn, but we couldn’t hear it from our room!). Ilias and his staff are very helpful, professional, and nice. Easy to rent a car through the hotel also - and they do drop-offs & pick ups at the port. Room very clean, beds comfortable, AC worked well, breakfast good and wide variety, including plenty of good espresso and coffee options. Didn’t have opportunity to use kitchenette in room or swim in pool - maybe next time!

Not much - just a couple very minor things - shower drain was a little slow.

This year, we spent a total of 2 weeks in July and September at this beautiful hotel. Dear Giouli, Ilias, Ioanna, and Galateia shortly the Kampa family has created such a wonderful atmosphere that the friendly team members, including from Florida to whose names I can’t remember are the architects of this amazing experience. The breakfast is delicious, especially the cakes, and the rooms are spotless. There are also basic kitchen utensils in the rooms, which were very helpful for preparing food for our baby. The hotel either smells like cake or cleanliness. The location of the hotel is excellent; it’s just a minute to the bay and the 5 restaurants there, and about 6-7 minutes to Mavros Gialos (Mavra Volia). I had the opportunity to explore many places on the island, but nothing relaxed me as much as watching the sunset at Shapele with the sunlight reflecting on the waters in Emporios.

I would prefer natural daylight or warm lighting instead of white light in the rooms, but this is a subjective comment. The Municipality should also find a solution to the general problem of the Mastichochoria region, the black flies

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Emporeios Bay Hotel in Chios, Greece, and it was an outstanding experience. Close to the south part of the island namely Mastichochoria. You can easily get to the famous villages Olympi, Mesta and Pyrgi. Mavra Volia is just around the corner. Staff is friendly. The cleanliness of the room and the facility was perfect. We liked the high ceilings in the room.

We knew that the city center was 30 km away but this can be a problem when you want to drink alcohol in the center or Lagada area. Combined single beds are not as comfortable as double beds but this is not a big issue.

Breakifast was exceptional overlooking the pool area. The atmosphere was relaxing, comfortable, and provided a pleasant work environment. Whether morning or afternoon, the sitting area was always enjoyable and proved to be highly productive in completting my daily tasks.

I could not fault anything, the family run hotel had everything one would want. We found the stay had the whole package, e.g., great location, comfortable spacious rooms, and especially the family/staff who were courteous, considerate, and always welcoming.

The hotel is located in a very nice bay on the southern part of Chios, with very nice beaches & taverns at walking distance. There is a super nice pool and the staff is very friendly. It's also conveniently located to visit the Mastic area & old cities.

We traveled there in August, and I found it 20-25% overpriced compared to other locations we stayed in Chios. It's a nice place, but some little things can be improved. For example, the common area is too small, so there were not enough tables to accomodate everyone for breakfast.

The hotel was impeccable, breakfast was delicious and slightly different each day, the pool was perfect, and the owners are two of the loveliest and most helpful people you could ever meet. The location is amazing: five restaurants literally within a stone's throw of the hotel and a wonderful black pebble beach about 400 metres away in the next bay. If you don't mind a bit of an uphill hike, there's a really interesting archaeological site on the hillside overlooking the bay.

We ended up in a room with two twin beds rather than a double – but we knew that when we booked last-minute so it wasn't a surprise and can't fault the hotel. The tap water is potable but doesn't taste very nice; however, there's a small convenience store around the corner that sells large bottles of water quite inexpensively.

Ideally located probably next to the most beautiful beach of Chios ,called Black stone!The picturesque port next to the hotel so beautiful with nice traditional taverna!It's a family run hotel ,the rooms are comfortable and clean also the staff if gentle and attentive!I would book again, for sure!.

I expected to the whole package booked ,to be included morning, but it didn't!

As a traveller going more than 10 times a year to Chios, I can truly say that Emporios Bay Hotel is a safe bet. Most of the hotels in Chios are more or less the same but his one takes it to another level. It is not a guest house, it is a hotel. It is run professionally and has all the amenities you need. You can literally walk to the famous Mavra Volia beach, and even walk closer to the many taverns nearby. And the fact that they also rent cars makes it a true holiday destination.

One of the best experiences I’ve had staying somewhere!!! The staff friendly and helpful with a smile! The room was clean, comfortable and very spacious! The breakfast was good, especially the homemade marmalades and other goodies they make!

I have nothing bad to say…even the maintenance of the place was top notch!
