A truly unique experience staying in a traditional Chian guesthouse inside the castle — like stepping back in time! The room was clean, beautiful, and full of character. Special thanks to Niki, the amazing maid, for taking such good care of us every day. Tasos was the perfect host: friendly, super organized, and always available to answer any question. He shared with us all the island’s hidden gems and has truly elevated both the business and the overall guest experience.

Perfect location inside the gorgeous medieval village of Mesta, 1 min walk from the main square with cafes, restaurants, and shops. The hotel spaces are actually medieval houses fully renovated but with respect to the local architecture, which makes the living a unique experience. Our room had a small kitchenette with a fridge, small appliances, and air-condition. Tasos our host was terrific, super friendly, and helpful, always available to assist and solve any little issue. We loved our stay from A to Z

Our studio had everything we needed but was not spacious, and neither was the shower. The lighting was also limited. However, this is not a big surprise as it was a real medieval house. It's not really a negative thing, just something to be aware of and prepared for.

The apartment was beautifully restored and finished to the highest standard. The kitchenette on the landing of the stairs was ingenious. The biggest plus however was my host, Tasos. I doubt that I have ever met a more enthusiastic, helpful host with an obvious passion and love for his island.

Mesta is a beautiful destination that understandably many people want to visit. accordingly don't be surprised by the crowds in the alleyways during the middle of the day. Morning and evening however it is like living in a film set!

Tassos is great, accessible via WhatsApp, and eager to help. Very nice person indeed. I'd stay there if I were to go to Chios Island again. Mesta is a beautiful, lovely small town with a small yet lively square that is only 1 2 minutes walking distance from where we stayed. The food is great in that town.

Pulling the wheeled luggage over the cobblestoned walkways of Mesta... Lotsa noise. But it's no biggie, and Tassos helped as well. Another thing is that this is a real village, not like a tourist town where all the restaurants and cafes are open all the time. At night, there is only one cafe (Monastiriakon, right on the square) open. So the town gets a bit too quiet.

It was the PERFECT place to stay to see the most interesting region of the island. All the best beaches are minutes away by car, including Apothika, Dinami, Vroulidia, Avlonia, etc. We stayed at this property for 4 nights and could easily have stayed a few more. It was so unique and such a fantastic experience to stay in the historic walled city of Mesta. Tasos was like a tour guide! He made our trip to Chios so memorable and so personal. We knew all the best restaurants, the hidden spots in all the best beaches, the must-see places, etc because of Tasos. The hotel itself is incredible. Very thoughtful details in each room.

Mesta is a quiet place, which we actually loved, but might be too quiet for people seeking nightlife (Chois might not be the best choice for those folks).

I had a truly wonderful stay at Lida Mary, and an amazing visit to Mesta. The historic village is so well preserved that the hotel itself is almost invisible, it's so well integrated into the community. My room was charming, clean, and quiet, with coffee/tea and fridge provided. The location was perfect, just steps to the main square! I have to say that the hotel director was just exceptional - he went above and beyond to help me get situated and gave me a wealth of recommendations for things to do and places to eat. He really made my stay even more enjoyable.

The town is very beautiful and being in one of this really old buildings is a great experience. The location is ideal to visit all the south part of the island. The host, Tasos, is a very friendly and helpful person that makes the experience even better. He really loves the island and he stayed with us a lot of time with when we arrive, to explain all we could visit and some hidden gems. Is always available to help and thia is something to really appreciate.

Beautiful room full of charm and character in the heart of the historic village of Mesta. The location was lovely and quiet and the room had everything we needed for a memorable stay. Tasos, the host was most informative and accommodating. There was plenty of parking close by, wifi was good and there was a drying rack for clothes. Very authentic, cozy place in Mesta village. Mesta is located around 45 min car ride from Chios center. If your priority is to stay close to the beaches, I definitely recommend to stay in Mesta. Overall, I enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Room was very clean and you can feel that your convenience is prioritized. Special thanks to Mr Tasos for helping us with everything. He kindly explained us the areas around us including the best beaches and guided us when we had questions.

Due to off peak tourism season (Sep end) Mesta was a bit too calm during the evenings. We prefered to spend the evening in the center.

host Tasos was the nicest host we have met in 30 years of yearly travel. nothing was a problem even if you asked for something ? not reasonable. he guided you on your daily activity answer calls immediately followed up on any request he is highly regarded by the locals that live there that is a small community. all rooms were of a high standard and clean.
