The window-shades did not work in the room when we arrived. I called front desk and the guy arrived in about 10 minutes, but was unable to fix the blue-tooth operated shades. When he started to take them down, I suggested we be located to another room, which he did within a few minutes. The new room had a chaise which was not in the first room, and the blinds were manually operated so no trouble raising or lowering them. Heat control was good. Breakfast generous. Bathtub a plus. Swimming pool nice and clean (only 4 ft deep).

Compared to the Homewood Suites/Hilton next door (same owner) and using the same parking lot, the Holiday Inn Express is more "bare bones" and for my money, I would choose Homewood, with classier decor and a suite with full fridge, range, and more spacious studio. Both had comfortable king-sized bed. Both have a pool and a gym although Homewood has a bigger gym with more machines. The furniture at Homewood is more comfortable and better looking. Also, I liked the beautiful historic photos at Homewood Suites vs of cheap wall art.

Very spacious room, plenty of places to spread out. Not too hot or cold. Comfortable beds and linens. Plenty of towels for family of 4 -was nice not to have to chase housekeeping down, which seems to be the trend in other places we've stayed recently. Breakfast was good for a "free" included breakfast. Good selection and my daughter was pleased to find lactose free milk. Cozy seating areas.

Early morning (I'm guessing smokers) talking very loudly outside..530-6am. We were on the second floor but just above the entrance where everyone stands to smoke. Woke everyone up.

Very convenient location. Overall quiet.

The price!!! Since when does it cost that much to stay in Binghamton New York? I was there for four nights and my room was not cleaned until the last day and I had to ask them to clean it . The cleaners were a little noisy outside the door in the morning.

The power was out when I arrived, and I had to talk to a agent from Bookings.com to put my wife on the reservation so she could check in when power was back on. That agent from Bookings (not your staff) was horrible, wanted to charge me $50 for modifying my reservation, told them its ok I’ll check in and they canceled my entire reservation and said I’d be charged. Then hung up on me when I tried to call back. Your again assured me they would charge me the cancelation and even gave me the same rate I had booked before. She was great, professional, and rectified the horrible experience I had with bookings and made the trip all worth wile!

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Loved the available coffee maker in the lobby with fresh ground made-on-the-spot tasty coffee.

Had mold around the tub, appeared to be under clear chalking. Toilet paper needs an upgrade.

The staff was super friendly & the breakfast was really good.

Specifically booked that hotel for the indoor pool only to be told when checking in that the pool was out of order. That should have been noted on the website or bookings should have been notified maybe via email.

The room was huge and very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was massive, hot and fresh. The pool was nice but the air in the room was chilly so we couldn't swim for long. I love the dove soaps and hand wash and lotion provided. Also THANK YOU .for the firm pillows!!

The pool room was chilly. The water was perfect. Also the garbage on the second floor in the common area was not changed and pungent for 2 days.

When we check in with showing printed paper if confirmation, front desk ( a man ) said there is no our reservation there . we are surprised with this situation. The guy still said there’s no our reservation after couple minutes,even we asked him to double checked, later my husband said, can you check with our home address,then he said he found the reservation, he doesn’t any apologies

Bed appeared new and everything was very clean.

I had to request a bath mat and there was no bath rubber mat available in the shower and no handrails. Also, the shower corners looked as thought they needed some TLC.
