The room was very nice and big but at the reception we were told that only on out of the 2 rooms we had is with a balcony. On he pictures shown in booking the room was displayed with balcony but they told us that not all rooms have one and we must request that. Well I had no idea this is the case and it was not very nice because we were 2 families and one had to get the room with the balcony and the other without. Beside that the holes is located on the road by the lake and it has very nice yard with a pool and parking for the cars. The breakfast was good and it was a nice 15 min walk to the old town.

No elevator.

Even better than the photos, the view from the hotel was absolutely stunning, rooms were immaculate and pool was beautiful. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Wee bit of a walk to the town but still only approx. 10 mins.

Myself and my partner stayed for a week here, we throughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were so welcoming and went above and beyond to help us with advice about Malcesine and surrounding areas. The location of the hotel was perfect, just a short 10 minute walk into malcesine along the lake promenade, and with the use of the free provided bikes we were a 5 minute cycle to the spar supermarket in the next village. The room was perfect, comfortable and clean with views of the lake and trees from the balcony and views of the mountain drop scenery behind. Our week stay here was everything we could’ve wanted and more, this hotel provides an excellent base for Malcesine and thus accessing and exploring surrounding towns and areas such as Limione, Riva del Garda and use of the cable cars for Monte Baldo. There is a bus stop located approximately 3/4 minutes along the road, with regular buses travelling both north and south of the lake.

Stella Alpina is a lovely small hotel that has been newly renovated 3 years ago and the pool this year, excellent value for money . We received a lovely warm welcome on arrival and information on the lovely village of Malcesine. The hotel provided a lovely breakfast each morning with lots of fresh ingredients. During the day there was a small snack menu to choose from with bar facilities. Our room was lovely a wee bit small but the bed was comfy and the bathroom was spacious. This is a lovely comfy spotlessly clean hotel. The hotel is situated 1km from the port, a pleasant stroll along the lake taking in breath taking views of the crystal clear water and the back drop of the mountains. We will definitely stay in Stella Alpina on our return.

It is hard to find fault with this hotel but if I was to dig deep, the night we arrived we got very little sleep as the wedding party were very loud when they arrived back at the hotel, I know this is no fault of the hotel but maybe they could consider placing the wedding party on the first floor and the other guests on the second and third floor to minimise noise disruption. There is no lift, this did not disrupt us in anyway as I said the hotel is small with only three stories.

We stayed here for just one night last year and enjoyed it so much we said we’d come back for longer this year, so we did! Excellent room with superb aircon (it was incredibly hot in July), nice little balcony, great bathroom. WiFi was good and a decent TV too. Comfortable beds. Everywhere immaculately clean. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Car Park excellent and nice and secure. Around a 10-15 minute walk into the town (take the shortcut along the lakeside to save time and get you off the main road).

Everything was fine. It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for so it’s worth it.

Beautiful room, really well-designed! You have everything you need — perfect for one person, with a nice terrace and a great view. Delicious breakfast and very friendly staff. What’s more, you can borrow a bike — the cycling paths are fantastic, and you can ride all the way to Tori! I didn’t get the chance to swim in the pool, but it looked nice and the chill-out area was great too. I totally recommend this place!

Very modern, beautiful hotel. Right beside the road but it was not noisy, we could not hear the cars at all. The staff is really nice and helpful. Great variety of breakfast, it really isn’t changing day-to-day but plenty of choices of sweet and savoury foods. The coffee was good as well. They cleaned the rooms every day. The beds were comfy. The rooms are beautiful and of great size, perfect for two people, not too small at all, with a lot of shelves for clothes etc. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed, definitely recommend it.

The walls are a bit thin, so you could hear the neighbours but I think it is in every hotel, we weren’t surprised.

Best experience during my trip. I had a smaller bedroom for one person with huge terrace, even with castle view. Amazing breakfast, a variety of food, not just sweet one. Outdoor pool. Comfortable bed. Only 15min walk to center. If your travel by bus, there is a bus stop 5mins from the hotel which takes you to Garda or Peschiera. Highly recommend, would stay again!

The only negative are thin walls.

great continental breakfast. Nice views from room. Clean and comfortable. Parking available was a bonus! Located across from the promanade which had spectacular views across the lake.

Was sort of difficult to find the path down to the lakeside promenade at first. Got yelled at by Hotel Du Lac for trespassing on their property to get to the promenade!

This is our 2nd time staying at this hotel. V clean , has parking and a short was down to Malcesine front. Female receptionist was amazing. V friendly and helpful. Our air con wouldn't work and she got it sorted for us. Waved us off when we left. Lovely outdoor pool not heated. Could get drinks from reception. Breakfast had lots to choose from and replaced quickly.

Room was a bit of an awkward shape but clean and modern.
