What a great location! We loved being able to stay right on the Grand Canal. My favorite part of the day was eating breakfast outside and watching all the action: boats of all kinds going in all directions, gondola rowers getting their boats ready, people getting their days started.

No complaints- we had a wonderful time. We did end up doing a ton of walking though because St. Mark's square is maybe a 20-30 minute walk from this location, but thats a big part of Venice anyways....the walking. You get to see so much more of the city this way. Often, we would take the vaporatto out to where we wanted to go and then walk back to our hotel.

The location is a 15 minute walk from the center of Malcesine and is a very pleasant walk. Also a beautiful view from the rooms balcony. We stayed in a superior room and the mattress on the bed was like brand new - very comfortable (although we feared the worst according to earlier reviews). Bathroom is wide and neat. It was a perfect stay for us and we would book it again.

As we are used to a rich continental breakfast, this hotel's breakfast was poor in choice and exactly the same every morning. The only warm dish was eggs (scrambled or boiled), although there were several salamis and cheeses to choose from for the sandwich lovers. But if you're planning to stay for more than a week, you might be spoiled for choice.

The view from the front of the hotel is spectacular, over Lake Garda to the mountains on the opposite shore. Lovely. This hotel is in a good location near Malcesine, with helpful staff, super clean and well looked after. The pool is maybe a little smaller than we expected from the pictures, but it was nice and cleaned regularly (we saw the pool cleaning team quite a lot!) Air con was effective (which we needed, as it was hot). The breakfast is fairly perfunctory - nothing fancy - but lots of choice and well stocked.

It does feel like it is past its best - a little older in it style and facilities - but it is still very well looked after. Not shabby, just older. There is a walk to Malcesine centre - a nice walk along the Lake - so if you want to be in the middle of things, this is not that place.

We loved this stately old hotel so much. Such character, spacious, gorgeous views and a feeling of stepping back into the past. The staff is very helpful and accommodating, allowing luggage storage and use of bar and pool before check-in and after check-out, which was a great help as we were dependant on public transport. The breakfast was superb, catering for every taste and hosted by friendly and diligent staff. The room was beautiful, large with a big verandah. We enjoyed the stroll into town, along the lake and being away from the bustle. (The bus also stops close by, but doesn't stick to the timetable. :) )

We missed a kettle, but as soon as we asked, one was provided. We'll be back one day....

The location is good, a 10/15 minute walk into the centre along the lake front. Spacious rooms and very clean. Rooms are cleaned daily. Also very close to a bus stop which runs into Pescheira. A decent continental breakfast and good coffee machine.

It's very dated so if you are looking for something modern, this is not the place for you. It fitted perfectly for our trip as we were there for a short stay but I wouldn't choose it for a longer holiday. You also have to walk a short distance along the roadside before you get to the lake side. It's a busy road so taking small children along it would be dangerous. No big deal but worth being aware of. Small number of sun loungers so not ideal for sun bathing but we weren't there for that so it was not a big deal.

Good location, on a hill with partial views of the Garda Lake. Parking available in the small square in front of the building, on the gravel road and in the green square next to the hotel. Small but not crowded swimming pool. Tasty breakfasts with a great variety of food, including local cheeses, cold meats, fruit and vegetables. Room for 4 people spacious, with air conditioning and two bathrooms, with access to the patio and garden (table, chairs, sun loungers available).

The rooms already need refreshing. The non-functioning air-conditioning unit in the ceiling was replaced by a separate air-conditioning unit, from which water dripped into the ... shower tray. There was no information about the availability of the pool (not in the bulletin received upon check-in, only a notice on the wall of the bar near the pool).

good location to swim often in lake garda, very helpful tips of the staff to the surroundings, friendly atmosphere at the breakfast buffet, big room with plenty of storage space. We particularly enjoyed the balcony, which has a great lake view and a fantastic panorama of the city Malcesine (especially at night). The city was a good walking distance away, it was some 10-15 minutes walking, but on an usually calm and very scenic lake promenade. The main street has a lot of car traffic, but has to be crossed only once. There is a bus stop right at the road up to the hotel, so going by public transport is perfectly fine.

pool surroundings were a bit slippery when wet, and there was a constant overflow of water to the downhill side. My friend said, the pool was inclined, but I rather think the drainage was clogged. The breakfast atmosphere was nice, but there could have been more variety. Sometimes (in the morning) there was quite a bad smell of sweaty towels coming to the bathroom.

We stayed three nights at this hotel. For the first 2 nights we had a superior room with a stunning view of the lake which was really great. We decided to stay a third night in a normal lake view room which was a downgrade. Only 2 pillows instead of 4, just a linen for a blanket instead of the fluffy ones we had in the superior room. Even the free cosmetics were different from the ones in the better room. That was a little disappointing. But overall our stay was fine. Breakfast was really great. Staff was great, too, especially Noemi! Thank you again Noemi!! 🙂

The 'hot tub' was not heated.

Room was good - refrigerator and air con. Bed was comfortable enough. Breakfast was good.

Requested a twin room only to get a double. When booking it did say if available but received no information to say if it were possible. Travelling with my 12 year old - we made it work but would have looked for an alternative if I had known in advance. WiFi was very weak - especially in the room and with no English speaking channels on the Television, it made it harder to use my tablet for some evening entertainment. Some parts of the hotel (by the pool) look tired.
