the location is absolutely perfect! - in the heart of the historical center, it allowed easy access to all the major attractions, shops, and restaurants, making our exploration of the city incredibly convenient. The receptionist Lucca was incredibly welcoming and helpful. He provided great recommendations for local sights and dining options. I also want to highlight the lovely lady - Doina at breakfast. She was not only attentive but also created a warm atmosphere that made our mornings delightful. The breakfast spread was delicious, with a variety of options that catered to all tastes, and her cheerful nature made it even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and conveniently located stay in the city. Thank you for a memorable visit!

Absolutely brilliant team of 4 people. We would like to personally thank all 4, the gentleman on reception, the lady who is in charge at breakfast, the lady who helps with breakfast and made sure rooms were very clean, and the lady receptionist. To whoever owns this accommodation, we really hope you appreciate what a superb team you have !!

I always write at least one recommendation here as I am Genius Level 4 on Booking.com but on this occasion I am more than happy to say there was nothing we could fault.

The location is the best, right in the middle of Malcesine, close to the bus stop .. great. Very nice and helpful staff, good breakfast.

Our room only had a corner window which made it very difficult for the air to circulate. There was also no shutters so there’s light early in the morning. I think this may depend on the room you get. On the other hand, our room did not give on the street so it was pretty calm. Overall the walls are thin so it can be noisy at times - we could hear our neighbor snore - so pack earplugs.

Beautiful old hotel with lovely old furniture and curiosities around to see and admire. An exceptional location at the heart of the old town. Easy to close out the sound of the night if you want to retire to bed early - great air con. But great to lay and listen to the town and people enjoying themselves too. Peaceful overnight, we did not hear a sound! Cafes, bars, gelateria just outside the door across the cobbled lane. Exceptionally friendly staff, beautiful varied breakfast buffet with everything you can think of to eat and drink. Photos from our bedroom window so you can see the lake was one minute away.

Pillows were a bit uncomfortable but I’m fussy about pillows so maybe being a bit harsh!

Great location, near the ferry port and main bus station, loads of restaurants nearby. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Spoke English and German as well as Italian of course. The room was a good size with double-glazing, a/c and a ceiling fan, and there was a good selection of continental breakfast. And as a bonus the best gelato seller in Malcesine was right outside!

Nothing to complain about. We'd stay there again.

The only thing we missed was tea making facilities in the room. Everything else was very good. Rooms were spotless, Hotel was bright and airy....the staff were lovely.....location was perfect.....and breakfast was more than adequate with cereals, yoghurts, fruit, meat, cheese, eggs, bread, pastries, preserves and a good selection of juice, coffees and teas.

It would have been nice to have access to a coffee machine/kettle at night......but apart from that, everything was great.

The location is great!! In the middle of the town just a few meters away from the lake. No noise at all. The room is simple, but it's clean and has everything you need. Also an elevator in the building to reach the top floors. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. I was leaving very early in the morning, before breakfast was served. No problem for me, but the guy behind the reception made sure I received a breakfast to go package. I didnt even had to ask for it. I definitely recommend this place!!!

No common area to have a drink. Hard to find a free table on the busy terraces in town, so it would have been nice to have a drink in the hotel.

I selected Hotel Modena for its location as I was attending a wedding at Malcesine Castle so it could not have been more better located. I had a single room which had everything I needed for the 2 nights I stayed. The bedroom itself had plenty of room and the air conditioning meant I slept with great comfort. T The breakfast was a basic continental but plenty on offer to ensure I started the day well fuelled. The staff were really pleasant and helpful. I would 100% recommend Hotel Modena for anyone visiting Malcesine who might be on a budget like myself as a solo traveller!

Whilst the bathroom was small but didn't cause me any issues - providing me for my needs. Other than that, I have nothing to critique as everything was as expected for a 2 Star Hotel and actually exceeded my expectations.

I liked everything about the property. It is located in the historical center, but we were able to park the motorbike nearby. Just across the hotel we found very good gelato and also pizzeria Da Pedro. Marianna and the rest of the staff were very nice and helpful and made some calls for us to help us fix our motorbike. I could only recommend this place to anyone and would come here again!

Excellent location in pedestrianized town near ferry point and castle. Exceptionally helpful reception manager Joshua, who communicated by what's app , helped us bring in luggage from drop off point.. friendly breakfast staff who made sure everything was topped up and everyone was happy Very good continental breakfast with variety of fresh fruit, croissants, juices, egg ( boil yourself) ham and salami, selection of teas and coffees, tomato and cucumber, granola- enough to last till early dinner Be prepared to walk a km from the ' free ' catpark after dropping off luggage at reception. A lovely walk along the lake with great views. Overall very nicely done for a small hotel - simple supeeclean near everything, inexpensive amd thoughtfully managed - thanks for enjoyable stay ! Will definitely recommend

Could consider going a step higher with USB port chargers at bedside or adapters. A room kettle and more rails or hooks to hang towels would be good. Shower head should have adjustable height
