We very much enjoyed our time at Hotel Capri. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel had a lovely family feel. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a lovely view of the lake and a good sized balcony. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. Early evening drinks watching the sunset on the terrace were a real highlight. Malcesine is also a delight with plenty of lovely restaurants and with boats heading over to Limone and the cable car up to the top of Baldo. The hotel is a short walk away from the town. In my opinion this hotel should be a 4*!

The ONLY small criticism would be that the hairdryer in the bathroom was a bit outdated and not particularly effective!

Wonderful staff and incredible breakfast - best breakfast buffet we’ve ever seen! Perfect location and amazing views. Would very happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

The bathroom was a little dated, but very clean. The spa was a little odd, the hot tub wasn’t warm enough to sit in and being limited to the hour slot felt a bit restrictive - the guests after us arrived a little early and we felt a bit like we were being kicked out. Completely understand they have to monitor numbers but we were just sitting on the chairs reading, there was more than enough space for all of us. Only other thing is that based on other reviews we thought we’d be able to chat to reception and get recommendations for the area but that proved a little challenging, definitely just do all your own research beforehand so you can make the most of the incredible area!

The hotel is in a fabulous location with a fantastic view of the lake and is within easy walking distance of the town.

Making a room selection was a bit difficult as all you have to go by are the pictures shown on the website. Clearer descriptions of the various categories of rooms i.e. whether they are forward facing on to the lake or whether they are at the rear of the hotel facing on to the mountains would be more helpful. Also a wider selection of room photos would be beneficial.

Fabulous location on Lake Garda. We had a superior room with balcony facing the lake. Paid a little more but well worth it. Plentiful and tasty breakfast offering fruit, pastries, cold cuts and cheese. Fresh cooked eggs and bacon also available. Staff were very friendly with excellent language skills and always on hand to help or offer suggestions. Dinner not included but hotel hosts a very good restaurant with great value set meal if you like the choices.

We had a little confusion regarding the set menu for dinner on first night but didn't dull the stay

I loved everything about the hotel. The size and facilities in the room, the view, the lake promenade below the hotel. The staff especially at breakfast were excellent and always with a smile. They made pancakes and crepes for my children. The breakfast is varied and the products are of high quality. The hot tub was nice and clean too. The pool is cleaned every day even though it was October (and nobody went in the water). Very clean hotel. I don't know how the stars are given in Italy, but they made a mistake, this hotel should be 4 if not 5 stars.

The activity brochures which contain discounts to major attractions are at a far corner past the bar, where many guests would miss it. I only saw it by chance upon checkout, and discovered I could have paid much less for Gardaland, for instance.

Fantastic hotel in a beautiful location. The rooms were spacious very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The views from our balcony, the dining room and pool area were stunning. All the staff were friendly and professional and the food was delicious. The hotel was a short walk from the centre of Malcesine, were there are lots of bars, restaurants and shops. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

If I had to say anything probably tea a coffee facilities in the room would be nice

Perfect location , only short walk to the town centre but quiet at night and stunning views over the Lake . Rooms were comfortable and spotless . All the staff were friendly , professional and attentive . You can tell it’s a family hotel and not a chain. You can feel the warmth and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was fresh and lots of variety. Restaurant with a great view of the lake. Secure parking . Pool , gym and spa.

Pool was very cold

We had a god room with a wonderful sea view. Breakfast was superb and as we chose to take the set menu of the day for dinner we can highly recommend the kitchen. All family and staf were very friendly and helpful.

We have nothing to complain about

Everything! Exceptional hospitality, especially from the MANAGER, Emil! We were stuck at the bus terminal in Garda, with no buses running, and he went out of his way to come and pick us up. He and his staff couldn't do enough to make our stay incredible. The service and facilities were fabulous and the view? Just WOW! I would give them a 1000 stars if I could. Do yourself a favour and stay here. You won't regret it.

Nothing! Oh and I forgot to mention the Wellness Centre. FABULOUS

The reception staff was super nice and attentive! The view is amazing, both from the room and from the restaurant, and the wellness area is also a very nice addition. Over all we had a really good time and the value for money was great

Small things: Breakfast is OK. I found it a little funny that I got about half an egg as the scrambled eggs offered to me. Also, you don't get water in your room and must pay for the bottles. The room service we ordered was ok, but we were surprised to be charged 15 EUR extra for it and also 14 EUR for a plain pasta with garlic and olive oil
