there are no restaurants close, it would have been a good idea to offer half board.

It's like a magic house in the middle of the woods, staff and breakfast were great and the bed so comfortable.

They turn off the lights of the common areas at 10pm

I stayed in one of the dormitories, however you can use the lounge in the main house. It's a bargain as you feel like you're in a hotel for a fraction of the price. The house is a 30 minute walk from the centre of Chamonix. The walk is not along the main road so is quite pleasant. There's also a very cheap bus every 30 minutes or so. The location is stunning and you can ski to the door.

I really love this place (I stayed an extra day), but I want to be honest. The toilet in the dormitory is tiny, I couldn't sit down with the door closed. There is a another toilet near the lounge in the main building that's larger though.

The location was perfect-far enough from the hustle of the town and close to hikes and the forest. It was an easy 30 minute walk into town. The breakfast was epic, fresh and tasty. The staff were wonderful, more than happy to give us good recommendations and to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were comfortable, small but had everything we needed. We had snow in April that was just magical and despite being snowed in, had the best day! Special thanks to Sol and Chloe and a Brazilian guy (we forgot his name)

Thank you for helping us with taxi but it would be good to have more affordable and cheaper taxi options.

Staff was very friendly and very fluent in English and French. Explained everything in details about the property and the Bus routes and attractions. Gave me maps and everything. Fresh breakfast was ready on time. Room had heater and bathroom had its own heater. Kettle was available to heat the water, Room tea ( self made) options were available. Small soap and towels were given. Room had extra blanket and pillow. Small playground for kids. Lot of parking space. You can sit and relax outside. Common room also available. Bus stop is very near. 5 minutes to down town by bus. Bus frequency is 10-15 minutes during day and 30 minutes in off peak hours.

Lovely location, cool in the heat and a lovely walk into Chamonix. The hotel is ideally located for a stop off on a long car journey. It is fine for a short stay. Good for walking pets even during the day because of the shade.

The room was very small, especially the bathroom which you could just about turn around in. Because it is a large hotel, it can be a little noisy. We had some very noisy people in the room next door who were being loud at 6am

1. Breakfast was good, and just in case someone is also interested in the dorm: shampoo, soap, and towels are included. 3. 30 mins walk from downtown is acceptable, there is also a bus stop nearby. 4. Located in a quiet area, near to a trail to Mer de glace.

There are two dorms, and mine is the one on the left. 1. The toilet door lock in our dorm was broken, I had to use the toilet in the lobby/restaurant. 2. Not sure if there's a water pipeline issue in our room or something else, but the sound of running water happened once a while (it's certainly not from the river behind). A bit annoying.

Lovely location - 30 minute walk into Chamonix via a quiet road. Really friendly staff. Good breakfast with lots of options. Bar open in the day with lovely outdoor seating area. Good WiFi. Really easy and ample parking.

Our room in the main house was very small, especially the bed when 2 people were in it. The soundproofing is extremely poor and you can hear those in the rooms adjacent and above you clearly. I had to sleep in earplugs to stop the noise from this waking me up.

Beds had a plug and lamp each. Lovely lounge area to relax in at any time of day. Beautiful location, very close to a bus stop and walking/hiking/cycling trails. A towel and soap was provided, which was very kind. Polite staff.

The shared rooms get awfully hot in the summer, yet there are no windows, fan or AC - thusly, the room can get really smelly too. Bedding also wasn't clean - I had the top corner bunk, so I get that it is harder to reach, but still.

Would have been good to have curtains over bunk beds for privacy
