Easy walk to town centre and Four Mile Beach and marina, comfortable and tidy 2 bed apartment, reasonably quiet as out of school holidays when we visited. Nice pool area. A share table for surplus items a great re-use, recycle initiative. Undercover parking. Enjoyed our stay, would book again.

Combined bathroom, laundry and toilet. Shower head is too small, some minor maintenance needed ie overhead fan in living room is noisy, shelf in vanity unit needs another support pin as unstable. The 2nd bedroom is adjacent to another apartment front door. The complex does not have a lift so moving heavy luggage is via stairs only.

Fantastic location - walk to Port Douglas shops, beach and the wharf. Kitchen was well supplied to prepare simple snacks when we were not eating out. We enjoyed relaxing with a drink on the balcony in the afternoon.

We had to buy our own toilet paper. Not very convenient when we had no car and had to carry loo rolls home. Soap supplied was very limited. One tiny bar for the apartment between 3 guests felt a bit stingy. The other places that we stayed on our trip all supplied bathroom products generously so we did not bring our own and had to go and buy soap. I don't think these are huge expenses but providing them would have made a difference to the convenience of our stay.

Amanda and Peter are very friendly and helpful and maintain the property to a very high standard. The heated swimming pool was at a perfect temperature for daily lap swimming. Having a community fridge/freezer for unused staples such as butter, spreads, salad dressings etc was a marvellous initiative which saved us from having to stock up on everything for a short stay. Hosts competently booked all transfers and tours which made the process easy.

Noise from guests sitting on adjacent balconies was intrusive at times, but overall, noises from room to room were minimal.

Was such a pleasant stay. Amanda and Peter were so welcoming and accomodating, particularly of my baby daughter. The apartments are perfectly located and have everything you need to keep you comfy for a stay in Port Douglas. It isn't the glamour resort of some of the $$$ places around Port Douglas, but I would take Amanda and Peters hospitality and the comfort of the Outrigger any day.

Very close to beach and city centre. Staff were lovely, very eager to please and incredibly helpful. Have never experienced hosts this engaging. There was an excellent selection of brochures, activities and recommendations of things to do around Port. it was evident that Amanda and Peter knew all about local activities and were keen to help us get the best deal. kids loved the pool and the book exchange is a great idea. Loved having our own dryer and washer, plus air dryer. Everything was clean and fresh huge supply of plates and other crockery and kitchen items. We liked the idea of the communal fridge and table. it was very handy when we forgot to buy tomato sauce!

whilst we understand the reasoning behind it, we would have loved to have been given a few more toiletries and replacement of towels after a couple of days.

An exceptionally clean, immaculate, well maintained facility offering a quiet, tranquil ambiance. Amanda and Peter's welcome was warm, friendly and both went out of their way to help. Central location for a holiday maker to walk to beaches, shopping, and dining. The apartment is spacious, air-conditioned, and the appliances are first class quality. Superb choice. Highly recommended.

Amanda and Peter were fabulous, their care felt very personal. They attended to any question and request, they are so lovely. The location was perfect, close to town, close to the beach, but in a quiet street. There was also a fridge and desk where people left food as they left. So good for things like oil, butter.

Excellent location to walk to town, marina and restaurants. Beautiful treed location, peaceful and wonderful bird life to watch from balcony. Apartment was spacious with full kitchen etc. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Had to buy extra toilet paper and soap as not restocked by staff.

We spent 5 days at Outrigger. The owners, Amanda and Peter, could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The apartment is in a small unpretentious block, in a great location away from the noise and bustle of the main town, but still easy walking distance. Although nothing fancy, the apartment is very clean, spacious and well appointed with everything you might need if you wish to self cater, plus there is a cute little pool and BBQ area. Amanda and Peter were fantastic "hosts" and made great recommendations for the trips to reef and rainforest that we wanted to take, as well as restaurants, and made the bookings for us, so everything was easy and seamless. We really appreciated their tip to book everything, including restaurants, well in advance. It was a lovely stay that was good value, and we would highly recommend it.
