The Hostel is a 3 minute walk to the Main Street with shops & restaurants. They have a collaboration with 2 restaurants/bars where backpackers can get food/drinks for a reduced price. The hostel has a lot of common areas such as a nice pool area that gets cleaned every day. It is a very social environment with a lot of long-term stays. Everyone (staff and guests) are very friendly and respectful! This Hostel was a full success to my surprise as I had imagined it not to be good at all due to some of the reviews written on this platform.

Both of the kitchens are quite small and overfilled at peak times (like in every other hostel…)

Very pleasant and well located hostel -excellent facilities including Pool and Bar for chilling our if You are an under 40's backpacker!. I stayed in a Queens Suite with a comfortable double bed ,..a couple of extra bunks for the Kids or friends and an en-suite Bathroom,...it was not super Luxury but it was very civilized and comfortable. Had a Jug for Tea or Coffee ,..quality Towels and Toiletries provided and a Netflix TV screen on the wall. Very quiet and good bathroom and of course the share Dorms are not as comfy ,..but they appeared pretty good with light and airy rooms and not crowded. The Kitchen and common area was fine and you could sit outside in a tropical setting with Timber Dining tables for a shared wine and socializing area. All up very good ,...I Wish I was a backpacker again! I must mention the professionalism of the staff and the Manager Brody and you can visit a Hostel connected Hotel on the town main street called "Rattle n Hum" for a quality Pub Meal and a very popular happy Hour!

Some building activity going on nearby but not a significant problem -that is the price of progress right?!

The private room was really large with lots of space and a TV! The room and bathroom were really clean and toiletries were even provided. The kitchen was spacious and lots of storage space was available. The pool was large with some great inflatables. Staff were friendly and helpful too. Within walking distance of the beach which was great too.

We encountered some bugs during our stay which is inevitable in Aus! Was sometimes quite loud too despite the hostel rules and them implying they are strict about it.

Really good social gathering areas, with wonderfully nice priced drinks at the bar. Staff were always friendly and up for a chat. Suitably placed between main strip, beach and access in and out of town. Stayed in a private room, which was spacious and comfortable. Swimming pool, gym and kitchen areas always clean and tidy.

Only had a small issue with the shower in our private room leaking, which we reported on checkout and the staff were straight on to sorting it out.

Basic facilities but very good value for the price and the room was generously sized and quite private. Felt supported by friendly staff.

The party atmosphere was overwhelming at times and other guests played loud music that felt intrusive.

Very nice stuff who helped me with my TFN, many chillout areas, good location, in general ok-clean (but space for improvement)

Long-term room was very untidy and seemed to not be cleaned regularly, many clique long-term people so it can be harder to get in touch with people if your not staying for a long time

Excellent location, short walk to Four mile beach, shops, cafes Lovely first floor lounge area which Had a book exchange Also very close to local library Loved the pool and a good number of sun lounges, had table tennis table and pool table Pool and pool area were kept clean Helpful and friendly staff

Nice location, it's a very lively hostel with a nice workout area that you can use all day long. It is close to the central and the facilities were good as well.

They did charged my by accident for an extra night. After letting them know they refunded the amount quickly, but it was still inconvenient.

Large spacious room. Good starting point to get around Port Douglas.

People were always still load around even late in the evening. It's a hostel still.

Spacious shared areas were, nice TV room, big room, lockers, pantry and fridge available, 2 kitchens, airco could be regulated, nice pool area

There was a lot of sand in the room from previous guests. Shower taps were not working well, it was not possible to keep the shower’s water temperature consistent.
