We booked Villa San Michele for an outstanding price for the weekend. It sits in a fantastic Location, across the road from Rattle and Hum whose happy hour and pizzas are well worth the visit, (ridiculous beer prices now down the end where we used to go). Villa San Michele is ä short walk up the Road from Jimmy Rum's mixing lounge, we always go to Jimmy's for "Dessert". Also, just a short stroll from the beach as well as the shopping centre in the other direction. The apartment itself was very clean, beds comfortable. Kitchenette well equipped. The bathroom is well appointed but no exhaust. The water pressure is a pass mark. (just). There is secure undercover parking. There is no lift if you are lugging baggage. we knew this as we have stayed at Villa San Micheles previously.

Location is excellent, barely needed to use the hire car and staff are absolutely lovely. Rooms are serviced weekly which is also great. Parking spaces were limited but never had trouble getting in because of how close everything is to the hotel. The theme and style of the place is beautiful and pool area is lit up really lovely at night. Loved the balcony, nice size for sitting and watching the world go by.

The place is a little dated and could do with a freshen up- there was a fair bit of dust in places and marks/scrapes on walls. Only one of the pools was heated with the other broken for over a week so the pool got quite crowded as there were only a couple of loungers but that was only during our stay and the heated pool was great. We got a really great deal and enjoyed our stay immensely but I don't think we would have paid any more than that for this property.

We were greeted very warmly, the lady at reception was super friendly and welcoming. The room was quirky (loved the art on the walls!) well equipped, and the bed was comfy, I liked that it was raised) AC worked well as did the fans. The pool was really nice, slightly heated and reasonably accessible from our ground floor room.

Unfortunately we were right next to the guest laundry. Which is. meant to be available from 8am and 8pm. (Signs saying this.) And it was noisy! Not just the machines, but people coming and going constantly.. I was told I could shut the door (which I did after 10ish.), but it was still annoying. The room was a bit on the tight side.

Perfect location to walk to shops, beach or restaurants. Our room was clean and very comfortable. It had everything that we needed during our stay. Quiet location away from the street noise. Off street parking a bonus.

We gave our stay 9/10, lost a point as our room was right next to the pool and if we sat outside in our small courtyard of our Villa, there were people right next to us on sun beds. Not really private. Would ask next time to be away from the pool area.

Good location.- easy walk to shops restaurants and the beach. Pool was heated. Our apartment had everything we needed...and we had a large balcony overlooking the pool area. We had ceiling fans and air-conditioning. We would definitely stay again. Good value for money

Bed was way too soft. But was clean and pillows were comfortable. Pool area could have been cleaned more regularly- blowing leaves away etc. One Pool had missing tiles - needs repairing asap.

The villa was located in the heart of Port Douglas, close to Four Mile Beach, shops, cafes and restaurants. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The villa was perfect for our 4 night stay. I look forward to our next visit. Thank you for a lovely stay.

It was a little struggle carrying our very heavy suitcases up three flights of stairs 😬. We obviously over packed!

The king size bed was so comfortable and was probably quite new. It was a independent coil type with no partner disturbance. One of the best hotel beds I have slept on. The pool is heated during "winter" so it was a perfect temperature no matter what time you took a dip. The location is excellent if you want to be in the middle of town and only short walk to the mariner or to the beach. We did not notice any noise though we did have doors shut with aircon on in the evenings. There adequate undercover parking for guests and a free guest laundry which is great! I highly recommend this property.

Unfortunately even though a 1br apartment, the storage areas were very minimal. We stayed for 10nights and found very little space to hang or store our clothes forcing us to mainly live out of our suitcase. I would suggest a portable hanging space could be provided in the hallway so guest could at least hang their clothes particularly if staying for a long time. The kitchen had adequate crockery and cutlery but could benefit from having more to avoid the need to turn the dishwasher on every day.

Loved the location. Close to shops and restaurants & walked to beach. We also enjoyed fresh prawns off the trawler on the weekend and visited the Sunday markets. We loved the heated pool and had a few swims which was relaxing coming from down south.

Car parking was a little tight. The louvre doors in the bedroom came off the tracks at times. Apartments need a revamp as starting to look a bit tired. Definitely needs a bigger bath mat too.

This is the second time we have stayed at VSM. They are really lovely apartments right in the middle of town - so it’s perfect location to walk to either the beach or the port. Equipped with everything you need, very helpful staff and convenient car park on property. Will be back again I’m sure!

There is nothing not to like, but maybe If you are after a peaceful retreat then a town apartment is not for you, as this one is on PD main strip!

Great location right in the middle of town, close to beach, restaurants and shops. Loved having a car spot onsite. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room had all we needed, was comfy with a big balcony.

small, thin towels. I prefer big and absorbent! As we only 1 bath towel per person for the stay, when we showered after a swim it was often still wet from the morning and I also like a second towel for my hair. Additional towels were available at a cost from reception. but it only ever occurred to me after showering! If I could have a wish list, it would be to have more towels and a coffee machine
